Good, but getting expensive. Would also like an email when my premium is due. This way, I can check balances or find, 'hiccups' before there may be an issues

If you call in and talk to the office things get processed straight otherwise it seem like someone can't add the paperwork together

Would really like it if claim’s could be processed a little quicker. It takes a week or two to even be notified of the receipt and I email the claims.

It was very easy to get started 2 years ago, and pricing was great. There is always transparency about what's covered vs not, and I've never had any major problems with this insurance. My only regret is that I didn't have it a year sooner, when my cat had pancreatitis. That ER bill was $11,000 and having Pets Best would've saved me 90% of that! However, one minor issue I've had with Pets Best is when I submitted claims for Epakitin specifically. My cat was diagnosed with kidney disease last year and the vet prescribed the Epakitin supplement as one of the necessary treatments. While supplements aren't covered in general, Epakitin is listed on the covered medications document. However, this year, almost every claim I sumbitted for the Epakitin was rejected at first. Even when I submitted proof of the claim being accepted the previous month. I had to call and ask them to review it again and then it would be accepted. Minor, but still very annoying to go through every month. Besides that, great service. I would definitely recommend and give them a 4.5/5.

Takes a while to get claims run through the process but I feel like that's the case with majority of pet insurance providers. Aside from that i have had good experiences and recommend them!

Very expensive after your dog ages when we need insurance the most. No claims when your dog is young young and healthy but when they start to age the premium goes sky high and it's too late to start a new policy.

I like the speed with which most of my claims are handled. I am dissatisfied with the price increase for the plan

We have been pleased with the service of Pets Best , however after rescuing a 3-4 year old labrador we have had several claims turned down as classified as a pre-existing condition, such as ear infection, allergies, etc. Our recommendation is to purchase insurance when they are a puppy or you will run into problems. It takes approximately 2-3 weeks to receive payment for our dog/dogs.

The only thing that could be improved upon is the time frame from processing to deposit. It seems to take forever for the reimbursement to be electronically credited to my account.

I gave 4 stars only because the reimbursement waiting period is not great, otherwise, I've had PetsBest for probably close to 8 maybe 10 years and they've been excellent. If the reimbursement was quicker, I'd easily make them 5 stars.

takes a little bit for the claim to go through but i love the fact i didnt have to wait 2 weeks to take my new kittens into the vet. I also love the fact that it is affordable but still covers vaccines and wellness checks.

The claims take too long to prcess. And there should be more medications that are covered under this plan. There should be an easier way to change your policy especially if you are paying more for it to upgrage.

For the most part I’ve been pleased with Pets Best. The one thing I’m not happy about is my dog had an ear infection & they didn’t pay anything. Reason was they said it was an existing problem. She had an ear infection last year. I don’t call that an existing problem just because she had one in the past ie., when a child has one a year apart, the medical insurance still pays.😠

Pets Best offers pet owners great security of mind regarding their ability to care for their loved one in times of need. I would have given them five stars if they had continued to process most claims in 3 to 5 days as they did in the past rather than 20-40 days as they do currently. I'm not sure why the processing delays have grown so much over the past few years. Perhaps more clients or less employees to do the processing, but it honestly does affect client satisfaction. Also, I understand the policy doesn't cover optional standard ear cleaning as part of grooming but the policy should cover comprehensive ear cleaning due to yeast infections in the ear, and that distinction isn't clearly stated in the written policy. Another area where they could easily make an improvement would be to keep customers updated in each explanation of benefits as to how much of their deductible they've paid on and how much they have to go yet. One area that they excel at is their customer service when you call in as they are always polite, professional, and friendly. They do their best to explain matters, resolve doubts, and correct any errors that may have occurred as quickly as possible. Years ago though, they were able to expedite bill processing during urgent situations, and that no longer seems to be a possibiliy. I recall how beneficial that was when my puppy ran into four vet visits in one month and I needed to be reimbursed for the first two in order to pay for the third and fourth visit in the same month.

The insurance does pay for most things. I have the regular us wellness and I have been lucky to only have to use the wellness. The payment is not what the vet charges but what the benefit allows, which may be nothing. I pay $42/mo and my wellness benefits cover $168 for my entire visit, shots, tests which was $255. So, I paid $504 in premiums plus $89 of the bill ($593) and in return got $168 paid. After 2 years, this may need some rethinking!
