“Not as good as what I thought it would be. Years ago had another company for my two pugs and was provided with much better coverage. I compared what I used to have knowing previous company did change a few things and thought Pets Best would be the best fit, but not very satisifed with the coverage I am receiving. Will be looking into other options. They were good with claims in the very beginning and the last claim took almost a month to get paid.”

“We decided to get pet insurance after one of our dogs had emergency surgery that cost way more than we expected. In that moment we did not care what the cost was, we just wanted our little girl to make it. We have now had Pets Best coverage for both of our dogs for 3 years, and thankfully we do because one of our dogs just got diagnosed with cancer. Pets Best has been reliable and has reimbursed all the costs so far after meeting the deductible. I recommend Pets Best to everyone I know! We love our dogs and have peace of mind knowing that we won’t have to turn down necessary healthcare due because we can’t afford it.”

“The time from start to finish from when you submit a claim is so very long most times 30-45 days. They always send me emails saying my vet is not responding to them but it’s never true as my vet copies me on everything they send over. Then there was a time recently when I couldn’t submit claims because their website was not functioning properly and I called and they said they were aware and it took several weeks to get fixed. During that time they told me I didn’t have a bank acct on file which was a lie as I had direct deposits many times before and had to send actual checks which took 2 weeks. I would never recommend them to anyone.”

“The insurance never seems to cover anything, yet their rates keep going up and up and up. It's unbelievable the amount they are charging for coverage. I'm planning to look at other available plans. They are just too expensive for the little they cover.”

“I've had an overall good experience with Pets Best so far, but with one HUGE caveat: Though the phone reps are just wonderful -- super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful -- and the payments are usually pretty fast, the company's email practices are VERY misleading. I've gotten so many emails that have said "Sorry, we can't cover this claim" -- very upsetting! -- only to THEN read the attached EOB (Explanation of Benefits) and find out that they actually *might* cover the claim, they just need more information from me. Very confusing -- especially for new policy holders -- and something that should be changed! Other than that, the company provides great coverage -- and again, the customer service agents are fantastic. I've saved an enormous amount of money so far (my dog has allergies, and the meds are very expensive), so all in all I'm glad I have the coverage!”
