NexGuard combo was not completely covered, even though it is supposed to be. Many claims required resubmission, and claims take a very long time to process. Appeal was rejected even with a letter from the veterinarian.

It takes too long to get reimbursed is one thing I would like to see improved upon. You submit the claim and then there is always it seems an email at some point that states "sorry for the delay" . Should not be this way on every claim. Customer Service is always nice and helpful.

Suggest when submitting a claim for a reimbursable procedure, in order to expedite reimbursement, Pets Best send a brief and explicit list of all the documents needed to process the claim. I have asked for confirmation of receipt of the documents submitted; I do not get this information. I have found it very frustrating to receive an email from Pets. Best stating all documents have been received to process the claim and then days or weeks later get a letter and or an email stating more information is needed.

I love my dog, yes, she is getting older. But the premiums have risen dramatically in the last year. I'm spending more for her insurance than my own. I know that older dogs usually meet more health crisis, but I feel that the algorithm should take into consideration the breed of dog. Chihuahua's live a lot longer life span that the larger dogs, and I feel that the rate of insuring them should reflect that. What a 14 year old Golden will be on its last legs,(do they get that old?) my chi's are still running around like crazy. Yes, this one is suffering from trachael collapse, but is only on one medication and there isn't much else in the way of treatment. Other than that, I find the web page and claim portals to be excellent.

Unclear policy coverage. The policy stated it would cover damaged teeth but then didn’t cover the repair of damaged teeth. Not impressed.

We've had a great experience with Pet's Best covering our dogs meidcal bills. Premiums go up as they age but it's no different than with any other pet insurance company and we have not had any issues with them paying claims. Processing on average take about 30 days, which again, is a reasonable amount of time to obtain any pertinent information from the vet etc. Definitely provides peace of mind even though you hope you never have to use it for anything major.

I've been a member of Pets Best for many years and have always had a great experience related to getting claims paid in a timely fashion. I recently had to submit claims and my experience was extremly friendly and efficient. Thank you Pets Best!

Very great insurance company and good with explaining why something may not be covered if that is the case. However, recently I have been experiencing a long waiting period to hear back from them on my return.

I would like if they would respond quickly to the claims that get processed. The time frame can be very long and inconvenient. If they need additional information it needs to be also a direct message through text emails or voicemail.

Impossible to communicate with, very difficult to work with when it comes to claims processing, emails don’t get responded to, my calls and emails with me endlessly explaining the same thing result in nothing.

Read the fine print, their policies barely cover wellness, their website is faulty and their customer service responds multiple days later. There are no email to contact them.

Pets Best is very easy to communicate with and their personal are very informative. If they don’t know the answer they will find out. I have been with them for at least 10 years and have been mostly very pleased.
