fair evaluation of claims NJ insurance rates are high...my policy increased by almost 30% last year. However, we do (unfortunately) live in a "Blue" state :( Sometimes slow to complete claims process prior to payment

I have had pets best pet insurance for 4 years . Last year the rate increased @ $174.00 . I could not afford this? Consequently I had to reduce my rate and have less coverage. In January my dog experienced a urinary Tracy infection and pancreatitis. This is the first time she was ill .

Have recenty filed my first of two claims. with Pets Best Pet Health Insurance. They processed my 1st claim (based on date of services received) very, very quickly and in my opinion very fairly. The 2nd claim, where services were received at a later date) I expect to be handled in a day or two, well below the expected 5 to 15 day processing time period. My only regret with having Pets Best for pet health insurance is that my much loved dog got sick and had to utilize the insurance.

Typically good. Last claim took almost a month to be paid out and I had to call and email before I got results. I called multiple times because wait times were >30 minutes and chat not available do to long wait times.

I think your company is unethical in the way it pays out for veterinary bills you say you covered 90% of expenses after $500 deductible but the truth is you don’t apply the deductible correctly making the individual pay 10% more to your creative financial trick and then you don’t pay for appropriate veterinary treatment saying it’s not in your formulary shame on your company and the people who run it!!!

Extremely disappointed with Pets Best. The coverage is poor, and even the wellness benefits paid nothing. I will be canceling and moving to another insurance provider.

Last year, your company was the best; but this year it was not. I received an email stating that nothing on my pet's vet visit wasn't covered because it was normal to procedures. I had wellness coverage and didn't understand why it wasn't covered. And then I received another email stating that I was getting a reimbursement of $95 for the vet invoice and pro-rated amount of $32.85 for canceling my insurance.

Takes forever to get claims processed and their customer service is a joke. You can't connect to anyone. Waited on hold an hour with no response.

Although they have great customer service and update you along the way. I would suggest hiring more claims analyst it should not take so long to process claims.

The website is well constructed making the submissions very easy. However, for the cost of the insurance, the pay out percentage is very poor. I will be cancelling mine.

Everything is great, except it took a month to get result of the claim. That was much longer than my first claim. But, I understand after the first of year may be extra busy.

NexGuard combo was not completely covered, even though it is supposed to be. Many claims required resubmission, and claims take a very long time to process. Appeal was rejected even with a letter from the veterinarian.

It takes too long to get reimbursed is one thing I would like to see improved upon. You submit the claim and then there is always it seems an email at some point that states "sorry for the delay" . Should not be this way on every claim. Customer Service is always nice and helpful.
