Quick claim response to a five day hospital stay with a lengthy bill to examine! Follow up visit claim was approved in four days. Very happy I chose Pets Best

We've been a loyal and very satisfied customer for 7 years now. I've used 2 other companies with other pets, and Pets Best is FAR superior. Their turnaround time, customer service and clear communication is top notch. Would highly recommend.

I have had several positive and timely interactions with Pets Best in the past; however, I recently submitted a receipt and have been waiting for a response for several weeks without receiving one. Additionally, I attempted to speak with a representative by phone and was on hold for over 20 minutes during one call and over 30 minutes during a second call. I frequently recommend Pets Best to fellow pet owners, and I'm sure there's a logical explanation for these delays, but I am feeling quite frustrated at this point.

Actually it's more like 4.5 or 4.8. I've never had an issue with Pets Best. They have always been prompt with claim service and proactive. When my cat had to be euthanized because of a facial tumor they cancelled the policy based on my claim submission and didn't make me do it.

I would have given 5 stars but unfortunately, my confidence in Pets Best has fallen over the past 2-3 months. I have 3 outstanding claims that have not been paid or denied and it is nearly impossible to get on your website, now. Everytime I try to log in, I get a message that says "you seem to be loggin on from a new device". It then goes on a circle of verifying my device and still being unable to log on. This has made me wonder whether Pets Best is going out of business and what will happen if I have to go with another provider since my dog has more "pre-existing conditions" than she did before I began with Pets Best. What ever is going on with the company, it would be nice if an email was sent to explain what the issues are and when or if they will be resolved. If it weren't for my dogs now pre-existing conditions, I would be looking for another provider.

So far i have not had any serious issues with Pets Best , so far the best out of most of them out there. Recommended for sure to everyone from own experience

I can't stress enough the importance of pet insurance..i have been with pets best for 8 yrs....without pets best and the circumstances we went thru this past yr we would have taken a hard hit for my pets care...Pete's best has been amazing,,,they have an amazing customer service team ready and anble to answer questions and guide you thru the proper steps...thank you for being there for our pets...this company puts pets first....

I got PetsBest for my puppy because I couldn’t afford to have two dogs on Trupanion. It has been GREAT. Excellent customer service, easy to submit claims, quick reimbursement, and they even cover exam fees!! Exam fees!!!

Communication is awful, I have not been able to get thru to an actual person in weeks and no one is answering my emails. They denied a claim due to needing additional medical records and my vet never heard from them and they wont answer my emails trying to find out how to fix the issue.

They were really timely until about 2 months ago when I couldn’t upload my claim; I tried over a few weeks (attempted to chat in too but it was too overwhelmed). It never properly uploaded through the portal - so eventually emailed it to them directly. It’s been weeks since any update

When things work, PetsBest is great. I had a policy on our last dog for over two years and for the first year and a half, things were great! This year, PetsBest has become very slow in paying out claims. I have currently been waiting two months for over $1,000 that PetsBest has said themselves they owe me for two claims. Trying to contact them is a nightmare - there is only an 800 number, and you're at the mercy of the queue. I've tried filing a complaint through the better business bureua and have not had a response from PetsBest on this issue through that avenue either. They still haven't paid me.

Website and app are always down. Can never get anyone on the phone. No responses to emails. They close claims because of no medical records….records that they claim they will request but they never do. Joke of a company. We cancelled and moved on.

I like the ease of being able to do everything online. Coverage is very good, cost of policy reasonable. Claims are processed quickly.

I am thoroughly frustrated with Pets Best. They were great the first year I had them-- prompt claims experience, easy to use app. But for the last two months I can't get get into my account on the app or the web; repeated calls to customer service did not improve the situation, and the claim I filed almost six weeks ago ( via email because the website was down) remains unresolved. From posts on a Facebook site it is clear that my experience is not unique-- many others complaining of the same things within the same time frame. I am shopping for other alternatives now.

This last claim was a disaster. Took almost 2 months to approve along with 10-15 phone calls to make them understand. First bad experience but extremely frustrating and wasted a lot of my time if they would have listened to me.
