It really is the best. I studied up before choosing and review options at renewal time each year. Pets Best offers more options and is more affordable overall than other plans. They reimburse very timely.

My 8 year old dog has had an intense medical history. I have submitted dozens of claims. Although our most recent claim got a bit messed up, Pets Best has always come through and paid the claims. Their customer service has been helpful and pleasant to work with.

It took longer to pay the claim than expected,but in the end they did pay what our policy said they would. So all good there.

Pet insurance isn't cheap. I've paid for it for years and up until a little while ago, never filed a claim. PetsBest was quick on automatically withdrawing my payment & then sent me a letter about raising my rate. I should have been notified it was going up prior to taking the more expensive payment. My poor cat was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor that required CT's and radiation treatments. I submitted all of the claims. Then waited and waited for the claims to be reimbursed to my account. I got 7 different emails apologizing for getting my claims credited to my bank account. They had no problem taking my money ASAP prior to raising my rate. I made them aware of how upset I was and got a generic response which didn't impress me.

Filing a claim fairly easy process although claim reviewers obviously don't read the notes added to claims as errors occur quite frequently because notes ignored. Claims can take weeks to settle. Reimbursement payments can also take a week+ to receive via auto-deposit to bank account. Plan on keeping detailed notes and copies of invoices to track the progress of your claim through to the end.

They pay out what they say they will, but they take forever to reimburse you! They told me it would be 10-25 days to get reimbursed and I'm on day 32 and still haven't been reimbursed. I pay my premiums on time every month so not sure why it takes them so long to reimburse. So now I have a $1,050 vet bill on my credit card that I have to pay for out of pocket until I get the money from them!

I've only been a Pets Best Customer since July 2025, but their service so far has been excellent. They acknowledge claims quickly and usually have an EOB within 48 hours. My check/deposit arrives within 72 hours +/- later. Their coverage is excellent. My pet has severe allergies that cause ear infections all the time, but Pets Best covers the medication she needs which is saving me a ton of money. Thank-you PB!!!

I was not sure the insurance would cover my dog’s surgery, until I saw that they were reimbursing us back exactly what the policy outlined. You never know, especially when you purchase insurance online and have to pay upfront. Pets Best Insurance came back a few days after I submitted the claim to tell us they were glad they could help with our dogs surgery. I am very satisfied with the whole process and how quickly they have reimbursed us back, close to $5000. Thank you Pets Best for being there to help pay for our precious Leah leg surgery.

We left Embrace, ( cost ) for Pets Best, hoping to never have to use it. Our four year old pup, had an allergic reaction to a shot and we almost lost her. Two days in the ER and in a oxygen chamber. Pets Best supported us and paid as stated. We appreciated their policy and updates. Good company, to be associated with.

I have never had a problem with the processing of claims. They always keep you informed about the status of the claims. Now days if you have a pet you need insurance and would recommend PetsBest.

Aparently they can't read receipts and invoices with explanation that " We are unable to process your claim because it contains incomplete or invalid information." yet the only information on the receipts are from vet visit invoices, store/online purchase receipts with just the medications on it, pharmacy medication purchase receipts when meds are not available through the vet clinic. There is so many more things wrong with this insurance provider like falsly claiming suspected & unsubstanciated conditions or illnesses are actual conditions that are or Petsbest rates as "pre-existing". Pets best has a limited "approved" medication list where any medication that are not on the Pets best medication list is denied. Good luck calling them as you will hardly ever get through to them in any kind of a timely mannor.

I have had Pets Best my Frenchie for 8 years and they have always been accommodating, answer all questions and quick with reimbursements. I will never own a pet without them as my carrier. Worth every penny!

Called to inquire about a claim, the girl was hard to understand and the backround noise was so lound. Being transferred to the claim department, why was this not done first as I inquired about the claim. She tried to get someone to help me but the wait time was too long
