As mentioned in multiple other reviews the delivery is slow / late. Customer service was ok but it took multiple emails to chase where orders were and was a week later than the 2 weeks it said to get some boxes of screws out. Will not be using again.

Item information doesn't specify shank size. It's 11mm which is too big for my drill.

PTD have sent me an email asking for a review when I haven’t even received the order. It was damaged in transit and apparently a replacement has been dispatched. May I suggest that the left hand finds out what the right hand is doing before it acts. Hence a review of 2 Stars but it could get worse.

Goods advertised as in stock for next day delivery.... This then turned into "in stock at our supplier" and then "sorry, they have no stock". Misleading. Poor service. I wouldn't have ordered given the true facts in the first place. Refund was processed quickly though.

Ordered a product on Sunday evening. Paid £7.95 for express delivery. It arrived Thursday lunch time. To late the customer wasn’t happy. No disrespect but that isn’t express delivery. Why use Fedex and not DPD next day delivery. The real professional’s

I order a mower, you take the payment, then a couple of days later I'm informed that you haven't got them in stock, which is odd, because if you haven't got one, how did I manage to order it? Put me right out. Fortunately, you did send a credit straight away so thanks for that.

After paying for full order 1-2 weeks before receiving wait until sending shipment, and as wasn’t completed, decided then to inform me items were not available and left me scrambling around trying to get from another supplier,as had audit Bad communication, not happy with the attitude of sales team ,however was paid back very quickly, a plus

The item (apple picker) took several days (5?) to arrive. When it did it was not in great shape as it had clearly been extended and in doing so the rod had been bent out of shape so that I could not initially move the extended part back into its initial position. (I assume that the item had previously been purchased and returned to the store). However rather than cause a fuss I used a bit of brute force and ignorance to straighten the rod so that it worked satisfactorily (although not perfectly). All in all not a great experience. Sorry.

Disappointed as an item was cancelled off our order without discussion. We had an email that said to speed up delivery of the item that was in stock, they had cancelled the other item on the order. I immediately went to the website which showed the cancelled item was in stock and available for delivery 2 days later. If we had been contacted we would have advised that we were happy to wait for the other item to be available and for both items to be dispatched together. Because we were not contacted we are not faced with having to reorder the item which would incur us an additional £6 in delivery charges which seems unfair. I have emailed Power Tools Direct about this last week but have yet to have a response from them.

Placed an order for starrett hole saw and a torque screwdriver set. All items said to be in stock at time of order. The next day I got a refund for the screwdriver set . No explanation was given why I was refunded . Very poor lack of communication. It doesn't take much to let you know why your sent a refund .

The website contains false information - eg promises of availability and fast delivery of items which in reality are not in stock. Having no telephone contact number is also a big negative. Once the non-availability of my order was recognised a refund was speedily completed - this therefore a credit to the company. Technically I am not a customer therefore the remaining questions do not apply.

‘In stock’ may not mean in stock. On the plus side, the refund didn’t take long. Shan’t bother trying again, though.

Good choice of products but very disappointed with delivery. Placed a sizeable order more than a week ago and is arriving in very small parts. Whole purpose of ordering from power tools direct was to receive everything in one delivery, but not so.

Ordered a DeWalt DS300 toolbox,(empty). It arrived damaged! I've used these toolboxes for years,and to damage one,takes some doing. It had not been damaged in transit,as packaging was intact,but in power tools warehouse,as the broken off piece was placed inside. Not great!
