Extremely slow service and when the goods turned up if was not what we ordered.

Normally very good - but not this time. After 3 working days (express delivery) no despatch notification. The only company I know that won’t take phone calls and after a slow response by email with a promise to look in to it - no reply. Good prices but as someone wise once said, ‘we sell ‘em for that price when we don’t have any’

Very poor service. Accepted an order and payment for an item (a Scroll saw) which they didn't have in stock . I ordered three items - the other two being blades which were compatible with the scroll saw. Despite cancelling my order for the saw they intended proceeding with the remainder of the order. I therefore had hassle of having to cancel all the order and seek a refund. This was the second time this happened to me in the space of a week - the first company I had dealt with was called Building Supplies Direct. I discovered later that these were the same company! Will not use them again.

Placed order with 2 to 3 days delivery and it took 2 weeks i had to keep emailing to find out what was going on and could never get a straight answer

Not worth a single star, but had to give one star in order to leave a feedback! Nobody answering the phone line, making excuses because everyone is working from home and why cant you answer phone calls by working from home? Item arrived late with extra shipping costs for 2-3day delivery slot which nobody kept to, then once receiving the packaging, its all poorly packed with no bubble wrap when the item clearly is very sharp with 3 sided bladed ends, and one corner was sticking out of the packaging. In this pandemic, nobody expects to have pubic hair in their item, when I clearly did! Quite unbelivable when the item is not brand new and damaged and this seller refuses to give me a free returns label. the tool is scratched all over the item, on the wood and metal parts. There is no worth of using Kent and Stowe's 15 year warranty when the product was already sold damaged. Not sure now that this is a genuine seller of this stock.

Unfortunately, we have placed many orders with this company and on numerous occasions they have damaged our goods in transit, we have then had to wait for long periods of time for a response and for our goods to be replaced. We would not recommend this company.

Ordered a vibrating plate from PTD only to be told 3 days later that the equipment was out of stock so had to order elsewhere.

Don’t trust stock levels when ordering. I received an email alert saying something I’d been waiting for was back in stock, and so I ordered it. The next day o got an email saying it wouldn’t be back in stock for a week. My brother then got another stock alert, so ordered immediately for me online (again, website said ‘in stock’ and they took the payment). Waited 5 days and chased (at the time of ordering it said delivery would be 2-3 days). Only after chasing did PTD send another email saying ‘sorry it’s out of stock, won’t be back in for 3 months’. The prices are OK, but for the hassle and disorganisation it’s not worth it.

Never received my order, no answer when you phone and they don’t reply to emails, after 14 days they just issued a refund, no email, no contact, no explanation. Don’t waste your time!

My order, which I needed fairly urgently, was lost by the courier. I informed Power Tools Direct but they refused to send me a replacement order or refund my money until a investigation by the courier was complete. I eventually received my refund 20 days after placing the order. To rub salt into the wound, no apology, nothing. Extremely poor customer service. I will never use this company again.

Ordered and paid one day, refunded without any explanation as to why the next day. Not a happy chappy so ordered elsewhere.

Tool box ordered based on it being in stock with delivery 3/5 days paid in full and nothing after 5 days so chased up buy email to be informed it was on its way direct from the manufacturer, chased again after 10 days to be told it’s coming from Holland and could take 15 days still no tool box. Customers understand delays but need to be given the chance of a refund if no longer in stock, And updated on delivery changes. Management refused to phone me back and discuss.

I ordered 5 of the same thing that came in small glass bottles. All were in a box far too big and they all rattled about and one started leaking. Not ideal when it's flammable chemicals

Very poor communication. Late delivery even though we paid extra for express delivery. Ordered Monday with a two day delivery and it arrived on Friday afternoon, putting our job behind by two days, costing us both time and labour. When we emailed to ask for the order to be cancelled after we found it hadn't been dispatched on Wednesday and we had no further replies.

Absolutely useless, after waiting for despatch a refund was returned instead. I then had to enquire about my order. To be told, oh actually we don't have any in stock.

I received my products (tough wipes) in a poor condition. Because they didn’t have foil protector on the top they leaked all in the box. I can only conclude from this that they will dry out more quickly. Customer service asked me to send photo of wipes , which I did & also of the box. But I had thrown away as it was very wet on my floor & didn’t think I needed it. They haven’t contacted me again so I presume I will have to put up with the situation & never use them again.
