“The delivery was sent late and so did not arrived 2 days later than promised when I ordered it. The after service was appalling and I had to ask for a manager to explain why the delivery was late as the sales team gave me false information. It was only on the 3rd communication after the late delivery that I actually received an apology and seemed to be given grudgingly and only because I mentioned I had not been been given one. From the tone of the messages it feels like the customer doesn’t matter even if you don’t get it right.”

“Good service with prompt delivery, but initial advert from Google wad misleading ad stated Free Delivery then added Delivery charge when purchasing. This happened twice, so a bit dishonest. Still a good price though”

“I placed an order with power tools direct on the 26th Jan and after a slow start chasing my order I read some of the reviews and started to think this was a scam company and I submitted a review stating this however my order did finally arrive and my product (Helly Hansen boots) are excellent. I apologise to PTD for the negative review and would definitely purchase from them in the near future .”

“placed my order with express courier delivery after 6 days and no delivery I contacted company only to be informed they are waiting stock. If I had not made the enquiry I would have been waiting how long? At no time did not inform me of the situation about stock shortage, I wasted my time and now waiting my refund as I have now sourced them else.”

“They falsely advertise that items are in stock ("order in next 2h for two days delivery"), while in reality "There has been a slight delay with our supplier, and we are currently still awaiting the arrival of the goods" after being me chasing order after promised arrival date has passed. Because of drop shipping they are inundated with customers' enquiries hence communication is slow.”

“AVOID!!!!! Absolutely shocking company to deal with, ordered some drill bits and paid for express delivery, had no notifications after 5 days saying they’d been dispatched or anything then got an email saying something about credit which you can’t understand and also no credit has been received, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL!”

“Order was delayed....endlessly into a future mist. There was no "out of stock" notice on their website. Paid for expedited. I had to enquire after 4 days. They notified me that the supplier was having delays...meaning it was not in stock. Follow up email was just a cut and paste repeat job. Phone rings off the hook. Just poor communication. I'm on a job and I need to know when stuff is coming. Still no idea. Put in for a refund. No apologies. I picture in my mind's eye some mythical old crone running this place, lurking in some dusty small warehouse with an abacus and a box of lozenges.”

“Avoid this company. I place and order in early December, now its February, I'm still haven't receive full order . They contact me twice , that there will be a delivery and deliver just some items . I left numerous voicemails( as they never answer the phone). I left emails , and onsite messages no reply.”

“Firstly that item took a week to be delivered with no update on it's progress. The item was damaged because it was badly packed and bent. ( Shaft of the lopper). Nobody answered the phone at all, even though I made numerous attempts and left a message. I emailed, and automated message to say they are busy. A week later they emailed asking for photos and descriptions of damage. Awful customer relations and I wouldn't use them again. I thought this will go on for weeks so I made a repair myself and put up with what I received. Not happy.”

“I was trying to order a 5m airline hose, that is pictured, not surprisingly, coiled up, sort of like a hose. When I got to the checkout to part it asked me to pay £14.95 because it was a "Long Length Parcel" - so implying that they would ship it unrolled as a 5m long "stick". So, I tried to email to clarify, no response, have now tried calling them 5 times, just goes to answerphone every time and no one calls back. So, perhaps they are great, but pre sales has been just a pure waste of time for me - wanted to order for next day delivery, and now too late to get from anyone else, but paying £14.95 delivery on a £23 hose seems a bit mad.”

“item ordered and delivered, unfortuneatly it was broken. Contacted Power Tools and was asked if I wanted money back or a new item , which I choose , came safely this time but still packaged the same way as the initial delivery.”
