In the past I was very happy with Rack Attack ski rack. My latest endeavor was very disappointing. I ordered new adapters to allow fitting my older rack (~2003) to my newer Ford Expedition that needed the larger adapters. I paid for expedited shipping so it would be delivered before I left my vacation location. The order confirmation I received said it would NOT get there before I left, so I contacted RA again and they sent a second shipment from your Boise, ID store to me. Ended up, the Boise shipment arrived first (it was sent with no shipping charges - Thanks) which I used, but the original shipment also arrived. I was send a return label & told to return the original shipment (which I did without ever opening that box) - and was told the Boise shipment would be credited back after receipt of the return. Boise emailed and said there were parts missing and is charging 15% restocking fee. I emailed this information about returning the unopened box as I was requested to and was told the 15% stands. I hope Rack Attack will fix this quickly, but so far I am unable to get in touch with the "proper people".

I purchased a Thule Motion 3 cargo box from Rack Attack based on the salesperson’s recommendation. Before purchasing, I specifically asked about fitment on my 2025 Toyota Sienna and whether I would need to change my OEM rails or towers. I was clearly told no, and assured the factory setup would work fine. The salesperson even stated he previously owned a Sienna and that this box (or its predecessor) fit perfectly. After driving three hours home, I installed the box and immediately found the fitment was very poor—there was less than ½ inch of clearance between the box and the roof. I could not open both the sunroof and rear hatch at the same time. I followed the instructions and chose hatch access over the sunroof. Overnight, the box sagged under load and ended up resting directly on my roof. I had to pad it with rubber insulation just to continue my trip. While driving empty later, the box buffeted, causing paint damage to my roof. I had to spend $280 to have the roof buffed and the ceramic coating reapplied. When I contacted Rack Attack, I was then told I actually needed different towers and rails, at an additional $500 plus $130 for installation—something I was explicitly told I would not need before purchasing. I was made to feel like this was somehow my fault, despite relying on their expertise. I feel I was misled and taken advantage of—either due to lack of product knowledge or a desire to make the sale. Rack Attack would only offer to take the box back if I purchased a different one, with no compensation for the damage or additional costs incurred. This was a disappointing experience, particularly given the premium pricing and expectation of professional guidance. Accurate fitment advice is critical for rooftop cargo systems, and in this case, that guidance was incorrect and costly. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Rack Attack.

We were very pleased with the excellent customer service provided to us on Friday December 12, 2025. The courtesy staff member went out of his way to solve our lock /key problem on our bike rack on a cold winter day in Ottawa. Thank you Rack Attack for saving the day!

I started on Facebook to find out a Kuat Panel Kit was still available. I had to call a couple days later since nobody replied to Facebook. I talked to a salesman who was supposed to verify its availability and its condition. He never called me back. I called the next day and talked to another salesman and he said I just missed him. He was going to contact him and call me back. Never happened. However statement was made it was available. He said the primary contact would call me back on Black Friday, he did not. I left home at 0600 to drive 3 hours to get the panel kit. Nobody called and called after an hour that they were open. Talked to the original salesman. I had to remind about everything, he finally caught on and no apologies. Then he states, sorry it has been sold. I made a 6 hour round trip for nothing. Lets just say this is completely unacceptable and by the phone call I would feel confident in saying this is normal. I know whom I specifically talked with, but doesn't pay to throw them under the bus.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re very sorry for the lack of communication and the inconvenience you went through, especially after making such a long trip. That’s not the experience we want for anyone. While this Kuat Panel Kit was sold, as it had not been placed on a formal hold or purchased, we recognize that we should have followed up as promised. We understand how frustrating it was to find it was no longer available. We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We’ll be addressing this with our team to ensure better communication moving forward. If there’s anything we can do to assist you in finding a similar item, we’re here to help.

Staff said the $750 purchase of multiple products would work. They didn’t. I would have had to take a box cutter to cut into the roof. So I returned the products. And now over 3 weeks and only a partial refund has been issued despite multiple follow ups.

My purchase has been a dismal experience. After waiting 6 weeks for the rack I discovered that parts are missing. Neither Rack Attack or Rocky Mount are able to help me. The bolts are not available in the hardware store. Rocky Mount does not return my calls or emails. Rack Attack is unwilling to take the bolts out of another rack to make mine work. It is going to have to go back. I'm sad, I really wanted this rack, but now I gear warranty service doesn't exist.

We placed an order for a tonneau cover for our truck back in March and have had nothing but issues since. The first few covers we received were damaged, and the most recent one was installed already damaged by Rack Attack themselves — which they acknowledged. They promised to replace it, but five months later, we still don’t have a proper, non-faulty cover. We paid $3,500 for this product, and what we got was a defective cover and zero follow-through. Every time I call, there’s a new excuse about paperwork or delays, but I’ve never received a proactive update or follow-up unless I chase them down myself. It feels like they’re hoping the issue will just go away if they ignore it long enough. The customer service has been truly disappointing — unaccountable, not proactive, and lacking any real urgency or responsibility. I’ve also since heard that other customers have had similar experiences with this store, which unfortunately doesn’t surprise me anymore. I would highly recommend avoiding this location if you value your time, your money, and decent customer service. It’s been an incredibly frustrating experience, and nothing has been done to make it right.

Had their racks on my Dad’s car for a few months before we both got sick, so they were left unused in new condition while he died of cancer and I reached remission. Rack Attack chose not to make an exception and return them outside their return window. No courtesy made or sympathy expressed to my elderly widowed Mom during her request. Terrible situation made into a simple business calculation for them. Very unfortunate time we live in. I would not recommend Rack Attack as a company.

Very disappointed with my purchase and installation didn’t get what I expected then when I raised my issue with the service the installer was dishonest about resolving my issue. When I checked around I should have used U-Haul they would’ve met all my needs. Before using this company shop around

Terrible experience so far. The order was missing the torque key. And after more than 10 days trying to get that part someone at their "help center" told me to go to home depot and buy the missing key. I paid full price so I expect a complete product, not someone to tell me to go buy it somewhere else

I bought a fit kit from you and paid for faster shipping. IT was supposed to be deliver by a certain date but it was sent back by request of the sender the day it was supposed to be delivered. I had to cancel my trip and was promised a new one would get sent out right away Monday. Instead I was told they were waiting for it to get returned before shipping me a new one. Communication was great until that Monday then no resolution. I finally just cancelled the order and asked for a refund and ordered one direct from thule. Although it may not have been the error of rack attack for the failed first delivery, how it was handled after made me not want to work with the company again.
