On June 8, 2019, we rented the Mercedez Benz MB.GLA 180.UL car, registration 8130KTN, the rental contract N ° 6034803924, the reservation number 1103732923. The car was removed at the Madrid Atocha RENFE station. On the same day, we traveled to the city of Córdoba (Spain), when we arrived there, we were going to our hotel Hostal Almanzor, it was within the restricted traffic zone. Arriving at the corner of Pje.Sta Teresa Jornet streets and Amador de los Rios street, our GPS told us that we should turn right to reach our hotel on Amador de los Rios street, we saw a sign indicating that It was a street of restricted traffic, but as a car had just passed we thought they would notify the hotel so as not to have a fine. The surprise was that when we started to turn towards Amador de los Rios street we felt a strong blow to our forehead. The surprise was that a steel cylinder had been lifted from the ground, which was later explained to us by the police who told us that this “Pomona” caused many daily accidents, that day it had already broken 4 cars. We did not know that we had to notify which hotel we were going so that Pomona would not rise. Then we saw on the internet that in the city of Cordoba the 4 pomonas that exist caused many accidents. In our case we could not continue with the car because we broke the radiator, the cooling water was lost and the bumper (bumper), we replaced the car. I paid for premium insurance on the Rentalcar website and I hope they will pay the full amount of the claim. The repair amount of the workshop report was 2789.80 Euros, on the first invoice that Europcar sent me on August 7, 2019 (invoice / invoice: 100619911056) the value for damages was 1258.40 Euros, this was the value that I requested to Rentalcover and that was already paid and deposited on August 30, 2019 in my account. On September 18, Europcar sent me a new invoice for 1531.40 Euros, (invoice: 100620193556), which I loaded on my Visa card. This new charge corresponds to the balance of expenses for missing damages (2789.80 - 1258.40 = 1531.40 Euros). The system does not let me fill out a new claim for RENTALCOVER with the same number (0Q9J-E3LQ-INS). I already sent an email to Rentalcover but they still haven't solved my order. To avoid this problem I recommend taking out the insurance of the company where the vehicle is rented.

Recently was charged a hefty amount by the car rental business for a very tiny chip to the windshield created by a rock thrown by the car in front of us. Once home, I submitted the required forms on line (took about 15 minutes once I found everything I needed). Be sure to read the agreement before you rent your car so you know what you will need from the rental agency if there is an issue. I was not sure whether to say I was at fault or another person was at fault but fortunately said I was....read later this is the way to go or else you must have a police report to submit. If you don't have that report you may be denied according to other stories I have read here. Once I submitted the requested information I was reimbursed directly to my bank within 2 days. I have already booked this plan for my next rental outside the USA. I give them 5 stars.

Unable to complete submission of claim We rented a car in Chile at the end of October and purchased coverage from RentalCover.com - when we returned the car the windshield had a couple of small stone chips which we paid for. I have just attempted to submit the claim online, I gave all the info and attached all the documentation required but when I clicked 'SUBMIT' the box went grey and the message 'YOUR INFORMATION IS BEING SENT PLEASE WAIT' was displayed...I waited...for TWO hours and nothing changed. I tried without success to find a phone number to call and have sent them an e-mail but so far no response. This company is bad.

SCAMMERS!!! I purchased an insurance coverage from RentalCover.com for our Avis rental this summer and was involved in an accident in Montenegro. The other driver was at fault and I had all the police documents and protocols confirming that the other driver was responsible for the accident. I was (fairly) charged nearly $1400 USD by Avis upon returning the damaged vehicle and launched a claim with RentalCover.com. After collecting all the requested documents which in itself was quite the effort, I then had to wait for weeks for them to make a ruling on my case. After emailing them repeatedly I was told by Melissa (Customer Success Manager) that RentalCover won’t be able to compensate me and that instead I should file a chargeback dispute with my bank against Avis on the grounds that I don’t recognize the damage. I never got any explanation why they won’t fulfill their obligation as an insurance company and reimburse me for the damage charges. I’m attaching a screenshot of Melissa’s reply as reference. In my opinion that’s pure fraud: 1. I’m being told to lie to my bank about damages that I don’t recognize (clearly the car was returned damaged so how can I dispute the damages)?? 2. I have a full insurance coverage from RentalCover.com so they’re responsible for reimbursing me for the damages instead of referring me to the bank Their communication is absolutely dreadful – you have to submit emails and wait for weeks to get a reply. After putting my trust in RentalCover and losing my time and money, I would highly recommend avoiding this company!

To my full satisfaction, getting compensation was fast & simple. I bought the policy at the Rentalcover site just before my trip and the quote was the best I could get including the offer at booking.com where I booked the car rent itself. One moment, when I started from a parking lot, I damaged the right side of the car body at a curb; not a big dent but the rental company charged me quite a sizable sum considerable for my budget. Just on the spot of the car drop they provided me with a set of needed documents without any extra request from my side: the rental contract, an accident declaration, a damage assessment annex, an invoice. After return, I just added a bank statement confirming the payment of the charge. I submitted my claim online attaching all these documents which took me max 15 min. I submitted it on Friday in the afternoon, and on Monday in the morning I already received a confirmation that my claim had been approved. The money (incl. the rental company’s administration fee) was sent to my bank on the same day after I provided my account details. So despite my sadness about the accident and about the damage to the car, I got a valuable experience. For my future rent, I am certain to buy a policy from Rentalcover and also I will rent a car from a well established company with reputation as I can expect to be treated fairly and to get all proper documents without headache.

DO NOT use Rentalcover.com. It's a scam site to take your money. We bought the insurance thinking we'd be covered, got in a small accident, provided all the necessary paperwork - and they immediately responded saying they couldn't read the paperwork provided. The paperwork was re-uploaded and 3 follow up emails were sent to them. They ignored all of them. Rentalcover.com is a SCAM site. Use them at your own peril.

Sorry to say this, but this insurance is a waste of your many. During my trip, I had 3cm parking scratch. The rental company charges me 400$ and I open a claim hopping to receive the money-back.What was my surprise when RentalCover refuse it with the excuse that we breach contract with rental company by not going to the local police Cannot believe that for 3cm scratch I should make some police report? For me, this looks like the company looks for a reason not to pay.

I am still in the process of my claim and keep getting emails asking questions that are right in front of them Ex. We would like for you to confirm why you were charged 120,000 kr when the repairs are only 104,496 kr well let's see it's right there on the credit card that they refunded that I even put little arrows on, please don't expect an immediate response to any of your questions it seems they Dodge to answer any that you have another example I sent all necessary paperwork and then they say some is missing no I checked everything is there. Then tye next email is for someother excuse of why it is not getting processed. So far this company is a negative in my eyes let's see if they can change my mind.

We were in an accident abroad and after RentalCovers reviewed our claim for 6 weeks, it then denied it because we breached our rental agreement by getting in a car accident. Isn't that the entire purpose of insurance? When we asked how that was a breach of the rental agreement, they couldn't come up with an answer so they made up a new reason for denial. They said we "neglected the vehicle" by getting in a car accident. Clearly they are just making up reasons to deny claims. Don't waste your money on this fake insurance policy,

I had a great experience with Rentalcover - from the information the company provided prior to the rental to the efficient and quick claims process.

We purchased this insurance to cover the incidentals for a car rented in Naples. Much cheaper than buying full coverage in Italy. Unexpectedly we incurred a small damage to the car which was assessed fairly by the rental company and for which we had to pay in advance. We experienced absolutely no bureaucratic hurdles with RentalCover.com and the refund happened swiftly. If anything, the only delay we experienced was in receiving the necessary documentation from the rental company. This is how insurance should work and I would always choose them again.

Do Not use this company for insurance! We purchased our rental car insurance from them and when arrived at our destination to pick up our car were informed that this insurance policy was invalid. They also said they have done this to other customers. When trying to resolve this issue they refused to reimburse me and said the car rental agency was trying to sell us their policy. However, the car agency did NOT even mention or offer us a policy. Buyer be aware!

I am pleased that I used the services of RentalCover: very friendly and customer focused communication, fast and transparent consideration of my case, full payment of my insurance expenses. And all this for price much cheaper than propose in rental companies. I will definitely use their services further. Recommend for everybody!

I have used quite often. I had a soft collision last summer and was charged by the rental company 900 euros excess. I had no problem to claim the money back from Rentalcover. In my experience is easy and fast to contract online, cheap and reliable.

a reasonable fee, hassle-free claiming process. Small scratches had been made on the alloy wheel of the rented car, rental company invoiced me more than 200 Euros (wonder if the really repairs it, or only collecting the money). First i had to pay it to the rental company, but afterwards, RentalCover paid it to me (this is the official way of working). The money was on my bank account in 2 days.

I bought insurance for a car rental in May and was told it would be accepted by the rental company. It was not. I had to purchase insurance from Budget when I picked up the car. I have submitted a request for refund from RentalCover.com and followed up twice with no response. They do not have a telephone number on their web site and email address is my only way to contact them. I will NEVER do business with them again.

I never usually leave negative comments for products or services but I feel that it is appropriate in this case. Please be aware that if you plan to use RentalCover for insurance then you are taking a risk as their internal claims process is extremely disorganised. They recently ambushed me with a £400 bill relating to a non-fault claim I had understood to be settled. They somehow managed to allow the rental car franchise to reimburse me for damages (without my knowledge) as well reimbursing me themselves. This wouldn’t have been a problem if they told me at the time, but instead they waited 2 years before acting. So it seems that even though I purchased insurance to avoid incurring an unexpected bill, RentalCover’s incompetence actually guaranteed that I got one. My advice is save yourself some hassle and don’t use them.

Dear Chris, Thank you for your recent communication in respect of the communication you recently had with RentalCover.com. We understand that you are dissatisfied with our recent request and you believe that we should have made this request at a sooner point. As we are independent of the suppliers which provide the rental vehicles, we are not privy to correspondence or information transfer between the customer and the rental companies themselves, which does make it difficult to predict at which point refunds or charges have been made. We appreciate that this request may have come to you as a shock, but one of the Claims Managers will be in touch shortly to explain this in more detail for you. Best regards RentalCover.com
