“RIAS claimed to allow up to 9 years NCD. I had not had a claim for 10 years and showed documentary evidence for that last claim. However RIAS would only accept the NCD allowance of the previous insurer, which showed less than 10 years because their maximum was less. Hence RIAS discounted my evidence and demanded an extra 15% on top of the original quote which I paid grudgingly. Their renewal quote, including an extra year's NCD was 15% higher again.”
