I am still waiting for a refund of the Insurance Premium Tax, which according to the Insurance documents I received it was charged. As you know here in the Isle of Man this charge does not get charged on Insurance Premium's, I have noticed from my Bank account this charge has not been refunded yet since November 2015. My previous company paid the refund right away, so I'm sure this has been an over sight on records.

I will submit a review when I receive the documents for my new car insurance in the post. The old policy with another supplier runs out today so I am trusting that all is in order

At first glance of my renewal notice my premium seemed to have gone down. Then I realised that some of the "options" I had had with my then current insurance had been omitted from your quote, and when added back in made for a substantial increase. However your price still faired quite well when compared to others BUT, had it not been for a poor response from the two cheapest insurers I would have switched to one of them. What I did not like was your failure to quote me for a renewal of the policy I had including the options, as this could have led to me renewing without realising I did not have the full cover that had previously existed.

We are surprised that payment was taken on the 29th December when the insurance cover does not start until the 16th January.

Feel slightly anxious as I have not yet received any clear confirmation (email or post) that my new home contents policy is up and running. Would like something concrete soon please. Otherwise fine thank you.

Not at all happy I have not received proper set of Documentation for Motor Insurance which came into effect on 2nd January 2016. It is vital I have those documents especially Certificate of Insurance

Quite a user-friendly website. once insurance chosen, confirmed in an email however I was unable to open or print the documents. I emailed RIAS and received a reply to advise they would post the documents to me.

My old insurance was with Ageas through Castlecover which I know are all part of the same company! Trying to get my NCD cover moved across was and is an uphill struggle. Couple of points: My Ageas insurance policy doesn't run out till 10th January, but I am changing my cover as I have a new car. My monthly payment on my old policy was around £17 a month with one more month to run, To cancel this policy meant I had a £50 fee to pay! Plus i can't transfer my NCD till 10/1/16 (which I understand) I have been told this only requires a phone call! As I am out of the country at this time, this will prove costly and inconvenient and I only have a 4 day window to make this call. I work in a remote area abroad and can not always get to a phone unless it is a satellite phone, costs are astronomical through these means especially when i am on hold for around 10 minutes at a time. As this survey is about making things easier for the customer! I await an easier solution.

If you accept & pay for a quote over the phone make sure that the person taking all the details enters them down correctly.

Reviewing my policy on receipt of the paper copy I thought I might include contents accidental damage option so I emailed for a quote and was advised to telephone. After being shunted from one person to another i eventually got the quote which frankly amazed me, the cost of the option being over £500. I was told this was down to your underwriter. This makes me wary of renewing with you next November. A B Callaway

Polite customer service, but inflexible system meant the 'compare the market price' I had could not be matched, so I ended up placing the business on the web site, not direct with your customer service

I am a discharged bankruptcy of 6 years and was paying my house insurance in full. I don't understand why my insurance policy had to go to an underwriter & was very disappointed about this as I gave had no problem in the past to secure insurance policies.

customers should check all thier details and price i did not just accepted all documents and price until this year found out i was paying a higher premium for the last couple of years than i should have been queried the policy this year its cheaper than the last couple of years asked where they got there figures from for the last couple of years they could not tell me

In a reply to my submitted proof of No Claim Bonus I received a very pompous response demanding the submission to be on a company letter heading, which was the official stationary of the company, incorporating it's trading name, registered office, company registration etc. In addition it demanded my home address be displayed which admittedly was only registered as my post code, however it corresponded to the post code on my insurance application, registered at least twice during the application procedure.This letter went on to make a number of threats unless I complied promptly, the whole tone totally inappropriate and disturbing, giving me cause to rethink if I still wished to pursue the application with such a company

Deciding and paying for this policy was no problem at all. However, having sent written proof of NCD from previous insurers, I receive an email telling me this was unacceptable, despite the fact that it clearly stated, on headed notepaper ,in black and white, how many years we had achieved. Most confusing, and irritating to have to post a second letter and contact previous insurer to give permission to speak for confirmation. Not everyone is dishonest you know !
