Policy renewal dealt with efficiently and paper work was despatched in good time.

Very pleased with the home insurance quote but less so with the car insurance. Cannot understand why it increased in price by £75. I spoke to other Insurance companies and yours was the most expensive by a mile.

Our mum was a loyal customer for several years, and never made a claim. Sadly she passed away a few weeks ago and can no longer drive (obviously ). We called Rias , and despite this being a very difficult time for us, we were told we would have to pay a cancellation fee !! Seriously ?! No condolences or sensitivity , and a cancellation fee . We are not cancelling through choice , or to go elsewhere, but because mum will not need the policy , clearly. We will not be recommending this company, but will however pass on how greedy and unhelpful they are. Also before anyone considers the above reviews, search all the other reviews elsewhere because they are all 1 or 2 star .

AS A LOYAL CUSTOMER I STILL FIND IT ANNOYING THAT I HAVE TO RING OTHER COMPANIES FOR QUOTES BEFORE GETTING A CHEAPER QUOTE FROM RIAS, I SAVED APPROX £60 ON MY ORIGINAL QUOTE BUT I WOULD MUCH RATHER HAVE GOT A REALISTIC QUOTE IN THE FIRST PLACE.

I had a no fault claim with Rias in October 2014, when another driver hit me side on pushing my car into metal railings resulting in it being written off. My car was picked up within hours and I received the market value for it within two weeks.The legal department pursued the other party to reclaim my excess and increased insurance premium which I received within weeks.I was also provided with a hired car, paid for by the other party,,until I was able to obtain a new car.Rias provided a very efficient service which required little effort from me and I would recommend them to anyone without reservation..

I had to make a claim for storm damage resulting in interior ceiling damage The surveyor inspected the damage and reported that I had a valid claim. Subsequently your appointed contractor questioned the cause or the roof damage. I have contacted Property Consortium UK on several occasions but nothing has been resolved. I am very disappointed with your service. I have previously had cover with RIAS but I am disgusted with the current service. Colin Piper

Had a bit of a bother downloading the full RIAS Policy booklet. I had to ring to get the policy number as I only had the original quotation reference no. as a guide. Nevertheless OK now. Staff courteous on the telephone and helpful too.

Sorted the renewal out without any problem, i just altered date of house build records were showing 1963 i thought it was 1973 your adviser stated (in a not too friendly tone) that it should be correct or it would invalidate the policy. After the policy paperwork arrived i found out the conveytance for our house showing when it was sold to the first purchaser where upon i saw it was first sold in 1974, so i rang to inform you of the one year out the adviser i spoke to on that occassion staated that the date only need to be to the best of my knowledge. The reason for the "Normal" review is due to the second time i rang to change the date i waited over 10 minutes to speak to an adviser which is not acceptable.

The web site was easy to use and the prices were clearly stated. Out of three quotes RIAS was the middle one. I hope that the renewal price in a years time will also be so reasonable! My only criticism was the follow up phone calls which rather intrusive.

I have stayed with RIAS because they reduced the cost. However. they should not have increased it by so much in the first place. I understand why you do this and it has nothing to do with improved service and customer service and all to do with profit. I can get similar cover for at least £50 less than I am paying. If the cost increases next year I will be moving.
