Ordered a large sideboard and waited 4 months for it. When it arrived it was damaged but they offered £45 refund to keep it. At the same time the unit went in the sale with a reduction of approx £135 but they would not reduce it by this amount. I kept the unit as I had boxes everywhere and couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of returning it. It’s beautiful furniture but shame about the fact they would only refund £45

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer the new sale price on something after it has already been ordered and dispatched from our warehouse. Ordered Chichester corner cupboard. It arrived very quickly but, my goodness, it was in a terrible state. One of the legs was completely smashed off, both doors had gouges on them and the front had a split. It was evident that it had come straight from Vietnam to our address without any checking whatsoever. When I contacted the company, they had a very efficient returns policy which led me to believe that this sort of thing could be commonplace. We actually like the unit so have decided that we will give Roseland a chance to supply a replacement which isn’t smashed to pieces.

Thank you for your feedback Linda. I am sorry to hear of the problems with your unit. It looks from the photos that the unit has been damaged in transit by the couriers between leaving us and arriving with you. It did not come straight from Vietnam to your address, this was sent from our warehouse in Gloucestershire. I can see that this took 3 working days to deliver from the point of placing your order. Thank you for complementing our efficient returns policy. I can see that the exchange has been booked in for you as per your request. Hi all, We received two parcels. One was nice, the other one was all damaged without any visible issue to the packaging. The all furniture was kept together with many staples randomly distributed on the back of the furniture…

Thank you for your review. The item that you ordered was out of stock as per the website listing at the time of placing the order. I can see that we dispatched the wardrobe when it came into stock and that the courier company emailed you on the 12th July for delivery today. I am sorry that this has taken longer than expected. Extremely disappointed with level of service after receiving a faulty coffee table. Still waiting for a replacement after three weeks and numerous emails and phone calls! If there was the option I would have given no stars!

Had to chase for a delivery date, then when they did arrive all items were damaged. Roseland quickly agreed to exchange the items but were in no way interested in getting these items to me quickly. Sometimes mistakes occur and things are damaged, that’s life, however how it’s dealt with is the measure of a companies customer service commitment….. I won’t be using this company again as there are no shortage of furniture providers that provide equivalent quality with superior customer commitment.

Hello Stephen, I am sorry we have not met your expectations so far. Unfortunately we cannot express these larger items as they are too heavy for the middle road couriers, they have to go via a 2 man service. Our couriers are outsourced and we work closely with them on timings. Unfortunately, unlike other furniture retailers we do not carry our own fleet of lorries. I am sure this will be done as quickly as we can. Kind regards Roseland

I've just opened the box of one of the two bedside cabinets that we purchased two weeks ago. I have several photos but this site will only allow me to download one. The veneer on the top has been sanded away then varnished there are saw marks on the edges of the top, the edges have not been fitted to the top properly and very badly filled and varnished very sub standard workmanship

Bought the laze sofa bed, really badly built, I've padded it with 3 pillows and a mattress topper, it's unstable and squeeks, you need the original packaging for a return which I never kept, you cant even sit on it, as it dips, worse purchase ever, Avoid at all costs, buy a futon instead

When the furniture item eventually arrived, I opened the packaging carefully and excitedly BUT inside was a TV unit with a broken side, crack in the other side, 5 screws loose, holes where the screws had once been and scratches. On informing the company, I was asked to repack the large piece of furniture (difficult for me being an arthritic 70year old)& only when it had been returned, would I be reimbursed! I had to wait 4 days, with it in my lounge, before it was collected and a total of 7 days before the money paid was back in my bank! I would not recommend Roseland or ever use them again.

Dear Angela Garland, I am sorry that you feel we let you down. the couriers require that items being returned are re-packed in some form, they will refuse to collect an item that is not packed for return. We are unable to refund money until an item is return, this would be the same with any company refunding a customer. Once refunded , it can take the credit card or bank providers up to 8 working days to put the money back into your bank. Kind regards Roseland

The sofabed i ordered weeks ago still hasn't arrived. Apparently deliveries are only made in my area on Thursdays. I arranged to work from home today ( Thursday) just to take delivery of the item . Was meant to arrive by 2pm and it hasn't. The tracking app doesn't work and the phone number on the email is non operational. Very unhappy and no chance of me ever ordering anything from this company again.

Hello I can see the review was left at 1pm , this was still within the allotted time for the sofa to be delivered. Please note that delivery times are estimated and can be slightly later than planned due to traffic issues , accidents etc.. We can see that your sofa was delivered around 2:30pm. Disappointed with the overall quality of the product. The first table I got looked used and of very low quality. I then send the pictures and was offered £40 refund or an exchange so I went for an exchange. This meant that I have to re-pack the table and then arrange for a pick up. Delivery of the new table and pick of the old table was on separate days so that meant taking days off from work and managing other things. The old table was picked up after 5pm on Friday. The new table arrived and although its better than the first one, the quality is still sub-standard and not worth the £249 I paid for it. Paint has chipped off and am very sure that in the coming days the same will happen. The wood on the nested table is not properly fitted too. Very disappointed.

I rated it very poor because I have not received it yet I bought it thinking it would be delivered in 7 to 10 days I bought it on the 21st of June and it is not being delivered until the 15th of July.

8No notice of delivery. Lucky I was in. Missing a drawer knob. Customer service is poor. Has been over a week now and still waiting for it to arrive by post!

Hello Kim Lloyd. The missing knob has been posted to you, as these are sent via business post 2nd class this can take a few days to get to you. I am sorry that the delivery was not as expected as you should be given some form of notification either the day before on on the morning of delivery, usually via email. Furniture was well built, but the colour was not as expected. The lead time was ridiculous. Delivery was not smooth - no communication and delivered outside of delivery window by a very rude/obnoxious person and then shocking customer service around the 4 items not being the Correct colour or even the same colour as each other! None existent attempts at resolution from Roseland and I’m left with the cost of having to get the pieces painted so they match one another. Would not recommend at all!

Hello Kathleen, We have responded to you on the matter of the colour of your lamp table and as yet, have not had a response. We apologise that the delivery was outside the window given, these are estimated times for the delivery to take place and can be outside of the time given. The lead-time on the items are currently longer than expected. This is due to the global situation on production and a depleted & short supply of wood & American Oak. This is across the globe and it seems all suppliers and manufacturers are having the same issues. We are still awaiting your reply to us so we can help resolve your situation. Kind regards Roseland

It saddens me to write this review. Firstly I'm pleased with the item of furniture I ordered but utterly appalled by the courier used to deliver the item. This is the reason for the 1 star review & the fact that I will never shop at Roseland Furniture again. The courier used was XPD. I was contacted with less than an hours notice to inform me that my sideboard would be delivered that day. I was away on holiday. When I tried to call XPD to advise that I was not home I was unable to inform them because I do not have a contract with them. Roseland Furniture do. I had to pay 7 pence per minute to discover that. I tried to inform them through their website, but as the item had already been loaded & dispatched no changes to the order could be made. I subsequently phoned Roseland's customer service team who reassured me that the item would be delivered the following week. I then received a phone call from the delivery driver asking me if I was home. I tried to explain that I wasn't & relayed the conversation with Roseland's customer service team. He put the phone down on me. As the driver called me on his mobile I sent him I text asking him to contact his team at head office to get the latest information. He didn't reply to acknowledge the message. The following day I got a phone call from my elderly neighbour asking when I would be home to collect the large heavy parcel that had been left with him. The whole approach adopted by XPD may provide a cheap delivery option, but they show a total disregard & lack of consideration for Roseland's customers. They also showed a complete disregard for Roseland's customer service team. I do not believe it is acceptable & therefore will not shop with Roseland again until they use a reputable delivery partner.

Hello Alicia. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am sorry that xdp failed to delay the delivery despite your request to do so. I can see that by the time that you were in contact with us about wanting to delay delivery, the goods were already on the drivers van and out for delivery. We did indeed speak with xdp who would have tried to contact the driver but unfortunately, it seems as though they could not reach the driver in time. After you spoke with the driver on the phone, he certainly should have taken the goods back to the depot instead of leaving the goods with your neighbour. I am really sorry that he took it upon himself to deliver to your neighbour despite your conversation on the telephone. We will inform the couriers head office of this so that they can speak with the driver about the way they behaved in in this instance. We do use a number of different couriers for delivery, so if you did wish to purchase anything in the future then we can always arrange for a different courier to deliver to your address. Please just contact us prior to placing an order and we will arrange that for you. Best regards Roseland Furniture

Ordered a book case a couple of weeks ago and still hasn't arrived. I hadn't heard anything so emailed them. They said they'd attempted delivery 3 times (coincidentally once on the day I emailed) but no delivery note was left and we didn't hear the doorbell. No communication or apology. I wouldn't buy from them again.

Terrible packaging and courier. Would not recommend. Courier didn’t contact me to let me know delivery date. Package left by the bins and was covered in rainwater. Item badly scratched. Bad experience. .
