Simply can not get track and trace to work. I have used it several times before and it’s worked well. But this time I’ve been trying for three days with my track and trace number to no avail. What’s going wrong?

I really do not see the point of track and trace as you cannot track or trace your items,the whole point of track and trace is to see where your item is and where it has been but no,the sender its for gets a message saying its posted and the you have to wait and get another message saying its delivered if they can be bothered to update their system which they usually don't.And if you are the recipient all you get is a message saying its posted and thats it,nothing in between.DHL I can track my parcel all the time including when out for delivery, check where it has been and a reasonable idea of when it will arrive with a timed window.i can even track my yodel parcels and thats saying something,So all I can say is royal mail carries the head of the queen of our royal family and I think personally royal mail need to do an overhaul of there delivery system..

First class recorded delivery yet again not delivered a week after sending the letter. Apparently you have 30 days to deliver! This is a ridiculous amount of time? I have sent out appointments for staff who will not attend due to the poor service provided by you. This will cost my business 100's of pounds yet again. No doubt Covid 19 will be used as the excuse!! Also I cannot se a single good review on here. Will Royal Mail do anything to improve...........I think not!

Pay for recorded Delivery service but delivery person can’t be bothered to mark it down or update system as delivered.

Royal mail tracked 24 is a joke. My parcel headed south instead of North, it's destination was Cheshire but 2 days later it was in Hemel Hempstead. It arrived at its destination 3 days after being accepted at the local post office. I wrote them an email - no apology they suggested i use guaranteed next time - there wont be a next time - Royal mail is beyond a joke, they really are not accountable and they really don't give a sh1t.

what a disgrace it seems Royal Mail cuts back on staff delivery and times time and time again and raises prices all to fulfil the shareholders dividend and pay out there profits. it really was better when it was Royal. Now its over priced and totally run down this company is a disgrace. it should be renamed Snail mail

Posted a letter recorded delivery first class over a week ago and yet it still hasn't been delivered. I could have walked the letter there myself quicker. I won't make the same mistake again using Royal Mail, I'll find a different company or method next time, absolutely useless don't bother with them.

Booked a Parcel Collect yesterday for collection today. Its 6pm and I`ve been in all-day but no-one collected! - total waste of time... sounded like such a good idea, but pointless if its not reliable- won`t be using this service again!!

I am honestly baffled, I run a small business and every low review I have recieved is as a result of Royal Mail being unable to handle items correctly. I cannot for the lift of me understand how 80% of the time my item arrives perfectly fine as it should, and the other 20% of the time it arrives smashed/damaged or in fact, gets lost. When an item is marked FRAGILE, i expect it to be handled with more care that they should already be handling items. The amount of time it takes to fill out every single claim form, and how long it take to get a resolution is awful. I am always out of pocket on behalf of them. Just don't understand it, clearly such a big business it doesn't need to care about its customers.

I was cutting the front lawn yesterday the post woman came to the front door and after a few minutes of fiddling around she left. I then cut the back lawn. When I went back into the house there was a red card with the other letters saying she had taken a parcel back to the office Why didn’t she communicate with me I was only 2 metres from her. Sounds like a tv comedy farce script

Don't even bother ringing the bell, just post those stupid cards through so I have to walk 30 minutes to the depot. Amazon and any other delivery service leave it with neighbours or hide by my front door. Why can't royal mail do the same? Tracking app is useless as well.

Worst web site, and app ever Takes you round in circles. They don’t seem to want any one to complain. You click on complain and your back to square one My item had a tracking number The item was delivered, according to their App When you click on MAP, A different location comes up 50 miles away Their reply check with neighbors 1st I’ll take it up with my MP

Most inconvenient pickup locations of any mail service in the UK. Customer service standard is awful. Deliveries come at 7am so the driver either wakes up my entire family or doesn’t bother buzzing it so then I have to walk forever to my ‘closest’ pickup location. Just nothing about the Royal Mail is respectable when you see what DHL, DPD, UPS, Hermes, Amazon, etc are doing. Absolutely no regard for customer service, satisfaction, or convenience. Royal Mail exists for Royal Mail and you have to beckon to their every call, even though they’re supposed to be providing the service.

How you have the nerve to deliver a package that has clearly been opened and all the contents removed is beyond belief. Disgraceful. I have logged my complaint however still appalled by the service

Why anyone uses them to deliver a parcel is unbelievable. They never seem to be able to deliver on time. Hermes and DPD manage to give you a time and if they can’t make it let you know. I’ve been waiting in all day for a delivery ‘before 3’ it’s now 15.10. They don’t have an option for ‘safe place’. Absolute rubbish.

Would give them zero stars if I could! Had an email yesterday saying my parcel would be delivered today. Was in all day and nothing, however received an email this afternoon saying it had been delivered! This is the fourth time this has happened to me in about two months. First time I spend 40 minutes on hold only to be cut off. Spend another 50 minutes on hold only to get through to an extremely disinterested woman who I had to explain the very simple situation to several times! No apology, and no follow up. The second time I had to chase down my postman who just asked stupid questions like “did you put the right delivery address?” and “were you in?” - it’s lockdown, where else am I going to be! No help at all, just referred me back to the main office. No point putting in a complaint with them as nothing gets done. Chasing them up isn’t worth the phone bill. My third order was ‘lost’. Now this! No longer will I be ordering anything that’ll be delivered via Royal Mail! I’d rather pay more and have a proper tracking system. They’re an absolute joke!

I came from China. the experience royal mail give me is appalling! I live on the first floor and didn't here anyone knocked the door from the ground floor. in China. you get called when they delivered postage. what wrong with those people's heads? are we stills live in a world there is no telephone or what? how is that difficult just call me if I am home????

Royal Mail are useless, I sent a parcel to Macedonia on 20/3/20, it never arrived, Now I know its the pandemic, I made a clam as I paid tracking signed for, and all I got was a letter saying they need proof of what I paid for it, what it was and the tracking receipt which had faded, I gave up I have lost £60, I sent them several tweets asking what they were going to do about it, and then said I spend £4500 a year with them, I'm going to my Hermes, and guess what, No replies to any tweets and Now they blocked me on twitter, thats real customer service
