“Completely sick of the Royal Mail. We live down a track in Northern Ireland. Amazon and other companies regularly deliver to the door, but not the Royal Mail. Letters are posted into a neighbour's letterbox at the top of the lane, and three times in the last three weeks parcels have been dumped in all weathers on the grass verge. One of these had to be signed for and he got the neighbour to sign my wife's name. Not a word of apology when we went to the local depot to complain. Just the usual 'we'll look into it' response. Absolutely no pride in their work.”
“received E-mail saying a parcel would arrive between 12-00 -16-00hrs changed my daily appointments to accommodate my delivery which did not arrive tried to contact RM on telephone impossible terrible service that does not care. There name should be withdrawn from them. Not impressed”
“Royal Mail tracking, Royal Mail 48, who do you think you are kidding. The most used terms are ‘unable to confirm the status of your item’ or ‘1st or 2nd class item, untracked service’ why do you you bother giving a tracking number if your not going to bother tracking it? You should do what you are paid for instead of messing customers about. Re Nationalisation of the company would be the best option.”
“The parcel was just dumped in the back garden on mail it says I'd signed for it I didn't. There was no card in the letter box as they said there would be if I wasn't in.”
“Today (Tuesday 3 December 2024) I was waiting for RM to collect my return to Amazon. I was waiting for the call or whatever from them but everything I got was the following lying email: "Unfortunately, we couldn’t collect due to the following reasons: QY864796558GB - The parcel wasn't available when we called (3 December 2024 at 11.58am)."
They never called which I can prove. Ive checked online and found there are many others who experienced the same lie from royal mail. So the conclusion is that either the RM or Amazon are responsible for the fact as Amazon is not happy to accept returns. Well, I will stop vbuying things from amazon and using RM.”
“I have been expecting a parcel from China from AliExpress. Had a message to say there was a problem with the delivery address being incomplete and Royal Mail were unable to deliver it. Fair enough. I contacted Royal Mail customer services and they told me that there was nothing that can be done and that the parcel will be returned to the sender. Royal Mail would rather send a parcel 5000 miles back to the sender than just write another label! I had a similar problem with a parcel being delivered by Fed Ex. They contacted me, wrote a new label and delivered the following day. If they can do it why can't Royal Mail!? Appalling.”
“Too busy to be reliable, maybe scale down.
I waited all day for the package to arrive and towards the end of the day I got an email saying "Failed delivery attempt" even though I was home all day waiting for this package and no one came or called.
The second day I called their support number to find out what's happening and after 20 minutes of waiting when I got to speak to one of their assistants they informed me that "because they are delivering so many packages they are unreliable and can't provide me with a new time estimate for the delivery".
Now I have to wait in for another day otherwise it will be another "failed delivery attempt".
When I tried registering a complaint they hang up.”
“So i purchased items from town on the 22 /11/24 & was told they'd be delivered next day however the parcel was delivered 24/11/24 but I've still not received it?what is going on with royal mail it's getting worse,no one seems to have a good thing to say about them”
“Absolute joke. Ordered from my usual pharmacy for delivery as usual. Was sent RM Tracked 48. Supposed to come yesterday. Postie arrived under cover of darkness last thing, left a different parcel which was also expected on the doorstep without knocking and legged it. Got an email 2 minutes later to say sorry he missed me but no one was in and he’d try again tomorrow! Two cars on the drive and lights on all over the house. Stayed home all day today as it’s important medication for my 80 year old mum who is now out of some meds (life saving ones) and postie was a no-show again today. Spoke to three different people at Royal Mail so-called customer service. It seems this service has now been replaced with an apologies line. Call and wait 30 minutes for someone to apologise a dozen times and admit what a sham it all is but not actually do anything. Best advice I got was to “hope for the best and if it doesn’t show up today call your GP to get the prescription re-issued”. Yeah, that’s really helpful on a Friday night isn’t it. Went online and RM say they’ve got my parcel and I’ve rearranged one final time for it to come tomorrow. God help them at my local depot if it doesn’t show up. Shower of 💩 the lot of them.”
“I’m extremely disappointed with Royal Mail. I diverted my parcel to the local Post Office using their app, but they completely ignored my instructions and delivered it to the wrong address. Now my parcel is lost, and no one seems to know where it is. What’s the point of offering a diversion service if you can’t follow it properly? This is unacceptable, and the lack of accountability is frustrating. I expected better from a trusted service like Royal Mail. Will think twice before using them again.”

“It's an absolute joke! I requested my parcel to be delivered to the collection point so I can collect next day, as the original delivery day was Friday and I knew for a fact I won't be home for it. Friday comes, I receive a notification, we tried to deliver no one was in. No one was in??? Despite me asking to deliver to a post office, they still tried to deliver to my home. And now the app telling me I need to book a redelivery? Why? Why on earth I need to book a redelivery if I specified I want it delivered to the post office for collection and my instructions were not followed? Sort it out, Royal Mail.”
