Awful services related to boiler insurance. Called them on Friday evening to get a Gas Safe Engineer to come as soon as possible as I’m pregnant and have been diagnosed with carbon monoxide poisoning. The person I had on the phone asked to pay the excess for a visit (£99) and confirmed someone would come on Friday or Saturday the latest. Saturday afternoon, without any news from them and still no visit, I called them back. Nothing was recorded from my call the previous day and I had to explain again my situation. The person I had on the phone this time told me they had no one that could come before Tuesday (which means no heating and no hot water until Tuesday!) and just gave me the phone number of the company they use to call myself to get someone. The phone number was useless, no one replied when I called several times. I decided to find someone locally who found the leak and repaired my boiler within few hours the same day. And today, Sunday, they sent someone without informing me of their visit. Not only they didn’t react as expected about an emergency call for carbon monoxide poisoning but also, since we have contracted the boiler insurance with them back in January 2022, they never sent anyone to get the boiler serviced! To avoid!

I have spent the past 2 days,getting hung up on after being on hold forever,and am now attempting to get in contact with live chat,so far have been waiting for half an hour,all I need is a code for my new card that actually works,the previous 4 I have been given don't,if this is how they treat new customers then I dread to think how existing ones get anywhere with them I would avoid them like the plague,I certainly will be switching as soon as i can,shockingly bad company

Staff are so rude bombarded with emails and phone calls. Was previously on a prepayment meter they told me I owed them money I have been making payments using their automated payment line. Called again today to tell me they have added another £10. Late payment fee (how when I've been paying?) I've refused to give my private bank details over they want to take the payment automatically I declined which is my right I do not have to give my bank details to an energy provider i am no longer with? Very shocked how They are able to get away with speaking to people like this...I will be taking it further if I keep feeling harrased.

1 star is too many. I have been owed a refund since December 2022....been told different times each time I manage to someone on chat. 10 weeks later and I am still waiting for my refund. I was meant to be having a call back today between 9-11 and nothing. Tried calling again, unable to speak with anyone line just gets cut off. Go online to the chat and due to high call volumes, chat is not switched on. Customer Services is disgusting will just tell you anything to get you off the phone. Avoid like the plague!!!

Shocking contact setup. Purposfully conveluted and complex webiste often entering closed loop systems like refunds on there webpage which just referes you to the same pointless bot chat box again and again. How these companies are allowed to operate like this is beyond me.

If I could give a minus rating, I would! The title "customer service" is a contradiction in terms especially as you can never get through to anyone! When you call, the message tells you that all the operators are busy and they are only dealing with those who are vulnerable and the call is disconnected. How do they know that I'm not vulnerable? Other option is "if you are able" contact them through live chat, what if you aren't able, whats the option for that? When the chat bot eventually works, the option I need doesn't exist so you are forced to choose another to speak to a person who also can't help and tells you to call in or use the APP! Would use the APP if it hadn't mysteriously decided that my login details were incorrect! In excess of 25 password reset requests, still no password reset email received but bills come through okay? Can't provide accurate meter readings, is this their ploy? Don't try the "contact us if struggling to pay" number as it doesn't work and neither does the email. Don't try the option on live chat as it won't get you passed the "pay now" box and if you choose pay later, will cut you off. Have now moved provider to a company who knows what the term "customer service" means. Don't ever use Scottish Power if you value your sanity

Very poor customer service. They are very good at sending out bills by email and expecting them to be paid but you cannot speak to them by phone. They just try and fob you off directing you to apps or LiveChat. This morning I received two separate bills to the same account( I usually receive one bill that is has and electricity combined. I have tried to ring them. Their head office and main website has an out of date number that is no longer in use so I tried the Customer Service number. I tried option 4 as directed and there is a message,” We. Are very busy right now. Why not go online?” I am furious. I have a straightforward enquiry and cannot speak to anyone by phone. I am in a newbuild house and Scottish Power are the supplier. Can’t change supplier anymore! Eon aren’t brilliant but at these they have people answering the phone. Clearly Scottish Power need to pay the CEO less and get more staff.

I have paid every bill on time, which I have repeatedly proven. Yet still they persist in threatening my 88 yr old mum who has advanced dementia with debt recovery, forcible keymeter installation, placing on punitive tariffs. They promise to desist but every week I find her shivering in her chair, afraid to turn on heating. I have spent hours on the phone, heard hollow promises and apologies yet still it goes on. I will have to find a company less relaxed about tormenting the vulnerable before they kill her off!

Waiting on a call from complaints team …and as I expected, never called…. Soo unhelpful and ‘customer service’ ?? Absolute joke! Looking to switch now as don’t want any further dealings with this ignoramus, incompetent bunch of thugs!!

The worst company I have ever dealt with they lie and shouid not be allowed to trade Ofgem are of no use or this company and the CEO should be struck off trading Customer service does not exist in this they do not reply and if you manage to speak to a person they just lie and don't help. Just look at the rating for it on various media forums the ineptitude of this company is staggering Emails will not be replied to

A JOKE - The Ombudsman should investigate their practices. Scottish Power Management should be held accountable for not training the staff they have and for not working out problems in their system. 5 1/2 hours on hold, my 5th attempt to call to advise I had moved into a property with Scottish Power already connected - last September and YES 51/2 HOURS on HOLD to get through, I stopped counting after over 20 calls to Scottish Power, there has been misinformation, problem after problem with setting up my account and them go told my first month I had used nearly £1600 of electricity, I did my own calculations on meter reads in recent months it should be £85.00 - £120.00 - Its now end of January no one called you back been when you escalate complaints twice now. It's a full-time job chasing Scottish Power, Still not sorted as of today 18th January (four months in) I can't move the provider until this is sorted. My recommendation to anyone looking at Scottish Power is to run for the hills. The worst service ever, no communication, staff don't know what's going on, don't even get the meter reads right. If you value your time and don't want to spend your life on the phone go elsewhere. I put one star because I could not do any less. Please Note.. you're asking below "How did I communicate with the company" you are only allowed to list one. I have LIVE CHAT / EMAIL / TELEPHONE / COMPLAINTS DEPT / COMPLAINTS ESCALATION x2 - NO JOY. "How quickly did the company reply to Queries" you do not have an option of "NEVER" or "OVER THREE MONTHS".
