Sedgwick's main objective is to find ways of denying your claim and the companies who use them to manage claims know that. So , if they deny your claim, they doing their job in the best interest of the company that hired them.

I don't think Sedgwick connection or most companies take mental health seriously. They make it very difficult for people as myself who do have mental illness to complete a transaction with them. Without it being difficult, it's difficult to do the claim. The whole process is difficult and in the process of Me and other people like myself trying to get better. We can't because we're constantly going back and forth with Sedgwick about our illness. They need to find a better way who do the process because how are people with mental illness supposed to heal themselves to be able to return back to their jobs if the whole time we're trying to heal. We're constantly being agitated mentally by this process. It's a horrible experience for anybody, especially that person who is dealing with PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, etc...

Such a bad company. Way too many choices....keep in mind folks, you ALWAYS get what you pay for. If you want to actually have insurance pay a little more. This company is an embarrassment.

If I could give a negative number of stars I would, just hope your company doesn't use them absolutely the worst ever

They sent me two checks back to back that bounced without notifying me that they were canceling those checks due to their own error! I'm on maternity leave, worrying about payments and whether or not my bank is going to get overdrawn is the last thing I need to be spending my time on. Terrible company, it took me two full days of calling and emailing over and over again to reach apparently the only person who could tell me what happened and it was met with a nonchalant explanation with no remorse.

Horrible experience. Portal in very poor condition outdated and non intuitive. Ofter fails to display messages. Agents are not consistent with the information they provide. They don't read your emails making often mistakes. Poor knowledge about how hospitals and institutions commonly asking for unreasonable things. Complete lack of empathy at all levels.

Impossible to get a claim approved. Poor web design, you can’t even open a claim on their website you have to call and be sent a special link to open a claim. When I had covid claimed there “wasn’t enough proof it was a real doctors note” the medical registry shows the doctor… pure laziness on their part. Would never recommend any business use this as its claims people.

Absolutely no communication. They will never return a phone call. It is very clear to me that you work for the company not the individual. SEDGEWICK YOU SUCK!

They are a rip off looking for any excuse not to pay. Even though I had a legitimate reason for my trip canellation because only $5500 (which was all I claimed) of the total cost of $12,500 was on my Barclay's mastercard they said the entire amount had to be on the card. They would have had to pay $7000 more if I had done that. They just look for excuses not to pay.

This insurance company insured, a driver that neglectfully hit another person and they have to pay for damages being the shop owner. I already quoted them the lowest industry. Standard labor rates that are on the books and they still undercut by almost $1500. That's a bit excessive and you guys clearly have. No care in the world for your clients. And the people you insure. You guys are not repair shops, nor should you have the legal right to do. Any kind of estimates on anybody's cars? Whatsoever, unless you have an in-house body shop within house body technicians. And estimate supervisors, then you shouldn't be allowed to tell anybody how much something's gonna cost. That right, there should be so illegal that it should get you all put in jail.

What an absolute joke. Two months after a very straight-forward and uncomplicated on-the-job injury the 'staff' continue to require micro-managing of medical bill resolution. Claim administrators are initially friendly enough but quickly lose interest in managing your case after the second week. Very much akin to the worst DMV experience with poorly educated/trained employees that are simply another cog in the machine. Only the cheapest, most apathetic employers would select Sedgwick for their Workers Compensation Claims Management. Resolutely disgraceful.

I was in a minor car accident on 7/3, I was told by the shop that was repairing my car it would be fixed within 1-2 weeks. The adjuster (Sedgwick) was notified on 7/8, the claims adjuster didn't look at my car until 7/19 and the claims report was not done until 7/24!! There was a supplemental estimate which Sedgwick needed to approve. Needless to say, it has been a month waiting for the approval from the claims adjuster and now I have to pay out of pocket for a car rental until my car is done. My insurance only covers rentals for 1 month. This is absolutely ridiculous!! My car should have only taken 2 weeks to repair but my insurance company made the mistake of having Sedgwick do the claims adjustment. This is the worst company I have ever seen, almost 3 weeks to do a claim adjustment!! The shop who is fixing my car kept apologizing to me for Sedgwick, they said they have NEVER had an adjuster take that long! I don't know how this company stays in business with all the bad reviews. I know if I ever hear anyone mention Sedgwick again, I will be sure to tell them my experience with them.

As employees of an organization we must deal with Sedgwick's negligence, the lack of professionalism, and outright does not care about the continuity of our financial responsibilities. Sedgwick ignores us because the company we serve (work for) ALLOWS it. Insurance companies are in the business of gaining money. Sedgwick's absence center works along with the short-term disability examiners using one email and fax number, yet they seem to not help each other with sharing medical information. This is done by design to allow time to pass and not payout benefits. I blame the hiring organization of Sedwick for thinking so little of their employees to employ Sedgwick to meet the quality demands of their benefits needs. These organizations review the overwhelming complaints and are aware of Sedgwick's extremely negative history as we all do. Companies that care about their employees and want to build a good working relationship with them should reevaluate Sedgwick's customer service and hire a better insurance provider.

A few months ago we were heading in to grab lunch at Chick-fil-A at Town Ridge Square in Raleigh, NC, I tripped over a poorly marked parking bumper and landed on my face on the cement sidewalk. As I tried to get up from my fall, bleeding and in pain, two workers came out and told me that this "happens all the time to customers." After x-rays on my leg, face and hand at emergency care that day and a visit to the orthopedic surgeon the next day, I found out I had broken my hand. After countless follow up calls, I finally found out from the heartless insurance company, Sedgwick, that Chick-fil-A will not pay any of my medical bills. I am still in constant pain from my broken hand and have scars on my lip and chin. After dealing with Sedgwick on this issue, I really have to disagree with their “Taking care of people is at the heart of everything we do” statement on their web site.

Every time you call you get a different person, and have to explain all the details of your claim with them over, and over. Every person you talk to contradicts the others and gives you different instructions on how to handle your case. Then they all tell you the other person was wrong and give you a new set of paperwork you're supposed to complete. You're supposed to have a claim manager, yet you never talk to them. They tell you they'll call you back then they never do. Rinse and repeat. These people are lazy, rude and completely useless. This incompetence is causing unnecessary risk to people's jobs and it needs to be fixed. Obviously it won't though. This company has sucked for years, and it's clear that the owners and companies that use them don't care. If you're a regular person reading this, please use extreme caution when dealing with this company. Get ready to jump through hoops and bend over backwards trying to get these people to their jobs.

Really screwed my Friend on his Worker's Compensation Claim. Their own treating Physician filed documentation with the WCAB. The document stated the injury was work related and cumulative trauma. Five days later, nickthey denied the claim, based on some BS Employer level investigation. He dismissed his Attorney who was Complicit. Did nothing for 22 months. I have taken the case over. A Hearing is scheduled in 2 weeks. I know a Trial will be required. I have found a great deal of Ammo in all the paperwork. I will hang them within this so called system. I feel sorry for all of you who had to deal with their Criminal BS. They were fined here in California about 5 years ago. Several million dollars I recall. They pay no one, they cheat, they steal, and they lie. I will do my very best to take them apart, in a very broken system. May God Bless you all.
