“It's been over a week since they've stated that they've mailed out my leave of absence paperwork, yet I'm still waiting. Mail shouldn't take that long especially since I've got 20 days from the start of the claim to get all paperwork in.”
“Interpreters helping injured workers at doctor‘s appointments were not paid on time or paid at all. I have invoices from 3 years ago that has not been paid.”
“We have had a claim in since November and were assigned a claims manager, Allison Weaver. It has been 46 days since her last email. We have emailed her requesting the next steps or understanding this process. We have included her manager Jackie Ngo with no response. We have called dozens of times. She has called back a couple times and we have missed it left messages and her recording it that she will call back in 24 hours but that has never happened. Assuming at this point we will need to enlist the help of an attorney.”
“Horrible communication. My doctor took me off work for eight weeks after a total abdominal hysterectomy and fibroid removal but Sedgwick would only approve six weeks. How do you override a surgeon?? I didn’t receive a call, text or email advising I would only be approved for six weeks or that my claim was denied. I called Sedgwick twice, neither representative advised me.”
“These people are useless!
They've almost gotten my husband fired 3 times now by not sending in the paperwork to his work. Then when he tries to talk to Sedgwick, they hang up on him and act like he doesn't have a right to be frustrated with these idiots?”
“Sorriest workers Comp Company in the universe although there is a couple good people who work here ,but others do not care if you get your pay or not even after a supervisor told me an amount and when it would deposit, still waiting for it.Would not recommend any company to do business with this so called "we are for the worker" company”
“My car was damaged in a Shaw's parking lot over a month ago when the cart return bin blew over and hit my car.I recieved a letter 3 weeks ago which told me to contact the adjuster.I've literally called 4-5 times a week and no call back.Voice mail says I'll recieve a call back within 24 hrs.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 i've been polite when I call but won't be anymore until I get a call back and my claim is resolved so I can get my car fixed!”
“I had to chose a star to be able to comment but
Yall the worst I have never experienced such incompetence and terrible service.
I have been in maternity on a month and still haven’t being paid, when I track it I’m being underpaid. Call backs never come through and somehow your reps and examiners talk anyhow like I’m to blame for your failed systems… what???”
“this place is literally horrible. nobody can do their job at all. doesn’t respond for weeks, cut off my fiances therapy appointments after not answering for weeks, literally the worst company i’ve ever experienced”
“Was injured on the job. Took an entire month to hear anything from my Sedgwick claims adjuster. I was home out of work for 2 months before I got paid. Reached out to the nurse to get information on my medical condition because the claims adjuster never responded. The nurse told me by email that the adjuster informed her to not to call or reach out to me at all! Never in my life I’ve been treated so unfairly. Months later I’m still in pain out of pay not sure what to do at this point.. Nicole.Phelps does not care at all!! As far as her supervisor she helped in the beginning but it’s only so much you can do when the person doesn’t care. I have plenty more emails and messages from the various chats where I reached out and all of Nicole response took days and weeks to reply to. Leaving me unsure and unpaid while dealing with injury from work.”
“Delay, Defer, Deny....that about says it all for this mafia style organization. I dont even call it a business, but just an unethical platform that low class, shady, woke businesses use to cheat, scam and muddy the waters for valid legitimate claims. Just ask Alecia and Jason from New Jersey who ripped me off for damages done to my vehicle when the gate of Public Storge swung closed on my car. I did not tailgate anyone as the video plainly shows the gate open fixed open with no other car nearby. First they wont give you any kind of answer for atleast 30 days(DELAY) , while they throw up a smokescreen acting like you are talking to the wrong person iin every situation(DEFER), Then they lower the boom and (DENY), yet still cannot give you a real person to talk to...it's all actually an illegal facade. I hope this company becomes on Trump's radar.”
“Agents are able to say wrong information and ones i figured out that it was not what the agent said, we the ones that get stuck with the problems and you get just a sorry from Sedwick, my case felt like scam and I could not do anything about it”
“I found a piece of plastic in a gummy vitamin distributed by CVS. I called CVS and was on the phone with them for nearly an hour! I was told that someone would reach out. Radio silence for months.... I eventually (months later) received a letter from Sedgwick indicating that someone had been trying to reach me. I called them and learned that they did not have my correct phone number. They took the number and someone would be reaching out. Again, nothing. I called again and was told that the manufacturer would be reaching out. Here we are six months later and still nothing. I called again and was told to reach out to the manufacturer myself. Seriously, what a waste of time. I had merely contacted CVS to let them know of a hard plastic particle in a vitamin product thinking that they might be concerned and the response has been pitiful.”
“They make you want to kill yourself. Opened and closed my disability case within 24 hours and never sent me paperwork and denied. I asked why and she said she didn’t know! Flat out lied! I looked at my inbox and it said I withdrew it and no documents. She just kept lying and she did it twice in a week! and guess what, they opened again and closed. That’s 3 times within 9 days and still making excuses. I’m convinced that certain examiners are the devil. Tomorrow will be day 10 of dealing with them and Nordstrom workers comp people are just as bad! That’s another whole tortourous ordeal, rude condescending horrid evil people, disgusting.”

I rented a couch and loveseat from the store in Rockingham Road and they brought me the furniture from the West Kimberly location. Had the furniture for less than a week and found a bed bug in my loveseat. Made them come and pick up the furniture immediately!! It's been over a month since that happened and I'm supposed to have Sedgwick do my claim and Terminix do my pest control. Haven't heard a peep from Terminix and Sedgwick stopped returning my calls as well. At this point ALL 3 companies are worthless and have 0 communication skills. Go elsewhere to rent furniture if needed...STAY AWAY FROM THESE COMPANIES!!!”
“Horrible company. The guy who came to my house didn’t even measure or look at the damage and just sent USAA insurance companies an artificiallly low estimate. This company is not ethical. Don’t even let them in your house”
“This has been, without question, the most mismanaged insurance ordeal I have ever encountered. While I am not an attorney, I strongly suspect this could even be classified as insurance fraud.
My daughter was involved in a car accident with an individual insured by Falls Lake Insurance. Rather than handling claims directly, Falls Lake outsourced their claims management to Sedgwick Claims Management. The accident occurred at a "T" intersection, with my daughter traveling on the through street while the insured driver approached from the intersecting road. Per the police report, the collision happened in the intersection.
My daughter provided her statement just two days after the accident, which was entirely consistent with the police report. However, days turned into weeks without any communication from Sedgwick. I left multiple voicemail messages—about eight in total—and sent several unanswered emails. Frustrated, I began escalating the issue by contacting the claims representative’s supervisor.
After a month, I finally received a call from the supervisor, who informed me that the claim was being denied because the two accounts of the incident did not match. She claimed that the other party reported my daughter had rear-ended their vehicle. I sought clarification and asked, "Did the driver say my daughter hit their car from behind?" To my astonishment, the supervisor admitted, "No, we did not speak with the driver. This was a statement made by the dealership."
I was floored. I pointed out that a statement from a party who did not witness the accident could not be used as credible evidence. Her response? "The driver will not speak with us." I then inquired whether they had spoken to the second passenger in the vehicle. She admitted they had not but said she would attempt to contact them.
A week later, the claims agent called to officially deny the claim, stating that they had now spoken to the second passenger. This time, the story changed completely: they claimed the accident did not occur at the intersection. Instead, they alleged the insured driver was traveling in the opposite direction on the same road as my daughter, and she swerved into their vehicle. This version contradicts the police report entirely.
The way this company handled the claim was utterly dishonest and deceptive. Falls Lake Insurance and Sedgwick Claims Management have demonstrated a shocking lack of integrity. My experience with them has been beyond frustrating, and I would strongly advise others to steer clear of both companies.”
