Horrible company to deal with both personally and professionally. They are terrible at communicating, refuse to send required documentation even though consents are clearly on file, and customer service is lacking. They're rude and documents always have to be sent 3+ times because they claim they don't receive it despite confirmation receipt proof. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Samantha S from AbsenceOne claims our documents are not legible when we have verified that the documents are readable and sent them to multiple times! This is absolutely unacceptable as this is causing additional stress not to mention other AbsenceOne representatives mentioned they are able to view the documents!!!!!!

Everything. I had a stroke. My doctors have sent in paperwork numerous times every time I call they tell me it’s under review. It will be two more days. It’s been two weeks. The people you talk to tell you that it’s above their pay grade to discuss the findings, I had a stroke my doctors confirmed I had a stroke. I don’t know how many ways Work can be filled out. This is ridiculous. Why even bother with short term if you have to go through all this stress is what got me here and I can guarantee you that what they’re doing to me is more stressful than the stress I had , I have bills to pay. I have a disabled husband that I take care of. This is ridiculous.

Claims agent doesn't seem to look at the paperwork submitted and keeps asking for more documents. Won't accept attending doctor I've been seeing 1-2 times a month filling out forms. Had to have the surgeon fill out forms, also rejected those forms. Then he told me my primary care physician should fill out the forms. This is unacceptable and has caused me anxiety while recovering from surgery. My doctor is charging for extra forms going forward after filling them out multiple times.

Bad experience isn't all they lie never get fax forms and don't pay employees who have disabilities MS is a disability that related to lesions on the brain. And the spine and there's still no decision made its pending my daughter be dead before they pay her and it's really sad how they process paperwork my question is can they process that there's legal actions being taken if this was your family member with this disease that has lost her home her car because she can't get paid Sedgwick should be under investigation for the way they process benefits especially when the employee has been pay into short term and long term disability if something was to happen the company needs to replaced by people who knows what the job is about

My nearly 90-year-old uncle and my husband or exiting Chick-fil-A and, because of the tiny room between the door leaving the restaurant and the door to go outside, and the mat that was not secured on the ground, my uncle fell and hit his head on a table in that tiny room that never should have been there. My uncle was rushed to the ER because he is on blood thinners. Sedgwick is basically saying that it's his fault not theirs. So, if he's just walking down the street and not trying to navigate a tiny room on top of a loose mat with a table that doesn't belong there, he's going to fall down and hit his head and need to go to the ER? What a horrible company! They took no responsibility for their negligence. I suppose companies want that but I will never eat at Chick-fil-A again because they support this!

Sedgwick is definitely a joke. Make it hard for you to get paid. Then blames everything on disability. I was denied by the state because I didn’t have enough earnings in the quarter to receive payment. But now Sedgwick is telling me to appeal it. Like if I don’t have the money then what’s the point of appealing it. SMH there basically a waist of time and not trying to help at all.

I have lost so much money from this group because they won't approve my short term disability. They think I can go work a manual labor job 7 days after having 2 tendons repaired in my arm. They won't process claims and leave you hanging. Just a horrible company.

They never answer calls .takes atleast 3days to respond to emails in which they argue out everything.They wanted us not to buy any damaged stuff until claim is resolved .How do one live without a refrigerator and broken light fixtures for 6months ;duration the claim has been processing.This is ridiculous .No one at any time follows up with a claim.

I am still waiting to get paid. Sedgwick doesn’t respond or call. Now I have no money to pay bills, get prescriptions refilled, buy food, etc. my paperwork was faxed to them the day they wanted it a week ago. So now with no money I can’t get to work since I drive 38 miles 1 way. I have also had conversations and other stuff disappear from my claim. I would suggest everyone take pictures of conversations between you and Sedgwick to cover your end. The thought that they can have written stuff sent to them disappear makes you wonder how many people they have screwed. I am looking for an attorney at this time because without money I can’t get to work and they will fire me. I will never deal with that company again and shame on the businesses who use them for their employees. It took Doctors over a year to find out why I was sick. I was lucky to receive $2000 that whole time from Sedgwick

I thought I had a problem, I was wrong my problem started when I started to deal with this company. I don’t know how to express the level of anxiety, frustration, and stress I have going through since day one. They don’t guide, they don’t explain they simply don’t care.

0 stars.. a completely incompetent company... transfer your call... long holds... then no one answers after the transfer. THEY DO NOT CARE. Not sure where the people answering calls are located, but seems they do not have a clue what they were trained, or should I say NOT trained to do. I recommend to NEVER do business with this company. Probably one of the most frustrating experiences in my life! Sedgwick.. a company to stay away from! I can attest that from my experience. I am still waiting on a claim from 2 months ago... guessing I will never receive an answer as they find it easier to hang up on you. One rep even suggested "why don't you just drop your claim?"... wow!

Terrible and terrible! Horrible experience with them currently! Can't get ahold of Kyara Sneed. Rep. She sends me text and leaves VM. No extension to get back to. On a quick turnaround time to get the FMLA paperwork done. Her VM isn't setup. She says it's for my mother when it's for my spouse. Very unprofessional! This is a nightmare!

same as all other comments on here could not get my fmla approved they would not certify it i left message after message by phone email and the communication center weeks went by with no response at this time i entered one last message asking who i could talk to about how they certify a claim ? i asked if it was the department of labor ? because i couldn't find any info wouldn't you know it within the hour i got a voicemail saying they had been discussing my claim and decided to go ahead and certify it for one year . This company is absolutely horrible and i can not believe that the major company i work for chose them . The only reason i could tell is probably something to do with the almighty dollar . wish this site offered negative star review

They keep giving me the runaround telling me that my checks were mail in return because of mailing address liars. Also telling me they can’t put it in my direct deposit because they don’t have the right routing numbers liars. I called my bank nothing has ever been deposited.

Pretty much all of these reviews some of what I have been going through how do we start a class action lawsuit? I had an MRI back in January, I found out that I had a brain tumor. I did not see the first doctor until the end of February. When I filed for my short term disability, they denied me saying that it was a pre-existing condition, And that My claim was filed outside of the three month mark?!? I applied in April, which means I was within the time limit. When I address that with them and they realized the dates Were correct, They then came back and said it was because I had my treatment too late, which was done in May (radiation) How do you control when an appointment is made for you? They have drug their feet for over two months with me. I asked them to send me an appeal through my email address they sent me a survey lol . With all of the complaints, I have seen all regarding the same thing. How has there not been a class action lawsuit? They put you through or the ringer in hopes that you will give up. They know that some people have serious medical conditions. They want to add extra stress to that they are not there to help they are there to hurt people. I keep asking for it to be escalated to a higher up. I can’t seem to get anywhere. I am not giving up. I will continue to fight and fight. The whole time I was on leave trying to recover from radiation treatments. I was still having a call these people every day who did not know what they were doing. They would just send me to one person to the next, no resolution. They are paid and trained to deny. Please again, tell me how we start a class action lawsuit? If we all give up, they will just continue to do this to people that need the most. We need to fight this because it is not right. There is not one review that I have found out of four pages that anyone has said anything good about this company. Don’t give up like they want you to keep fighting you have to. They hope you will just go away if they make it so difficult for me that’s not the case I will fight for what I believe in. I would actually give this company zero stars if I had the option. This also needs to be reported to the BBB.

The worst customer services I have ever experience. They are so rude and need constand chasing. They made me an offer that was 1/3 the value of the 10 quotes I obtained indecently. They told me I am not allowed to claim for matching items when I am. My insurer would approve something and they would refuse it, even though I was eligable. I have waited over 6 months for my claim to be sorted out and without a kitchen.
