My experience with Sedgwick yielded subpar results, as I found their expertise lacking and encountered a notable reluctance to listen. Consequently, I opted to involve the insurance company, and surprisingly, I received a resolution within a remarkably swift timeframe of less than two weeks.

I was pretty sure this clownshow was staffed by incompetents the first time we tangled with them over short term disability last fall, but it's been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt with round 2 this spring, as apparently nobody there can tell right from left or is aware that humans have 2 separate arms that may require the same surgery to repair if they both do the same work. Spoilers for any Sedgewick reps who might be reading this- although I think the odds are pretty low, as it would require someone there to have any measure of reading comprehension and thus far the evidence is against that eventuality- if somebody has to have surgery for RSI in one hand, they'll probably need it in both, and any surgeon worth their pay is going to do those separately. One at a time. Because having both hands immobilized at the same time is a Very Bad Idea if it can be avoided. THIS DOES NOT IN FACT MEAN IT'S THE SAME SURGERY TWO TIMES. One hand is on the RIGHT side.... and one hand is on the LEFT side.... and they are two different hands. Say it with me. Different... hands. That means that it is NOT in fact a relapse of the same condition. I know it's confusing and there are probably a lot of big words in there, but if you sound them out carefully and apply a little critical thinking you should be able to get there in the end. Don't hurt yourself. Take it slow. Let me know when you get to the end. I'll just be over here trying to figure out how I'm going to pay my rent since you clever little creatures decided that you aren't going to pay out on this pre-approved claim, actually, because right and left are Very Difficult Concepts.

The people that work here seem nice but to know you work for a company that does business in such a heartless way makes me wonder about the people who work here. Worst experience of my life so far and that's an actual statement. Had to quit my job because my wife's maternity leave was denied for 6 weeks unpaid leave. To make matters worse Sedgwick didn't tell her she had to find out when she nearly lost her job and had to use all her PTO to keep it. Would've been nice to have known this in advance so we could've planned properly.

If it were possible to give them a zero, I would certainly do that. Sedgwick has done nothing more than give me the runaround the entire time I’ve been trying to handle my claim they have asked me to send them paperwork. Once I send them to them they tell me it’s incorrect. I get the doctor to correct it they send it back and asked for the same thing to be changed back to what the doctor originally put. my paperwork too took two months for them to approve only to deny the claim three days later I am so confused. The employees are very nonchalant and uncaring. It’s very difficult to have someone call you back. It’s even more difficult to have them follow up with you regarding paperwork they received. It is certainly justified in their inability to communicate I really believe that this company should be out of business.

Better hope that went you're on workers comp nothing even remotely makes your Injury worse because they will stop paying you despite having your injury still. So you'll be stuck out of work because of the injury ANNND absolutely no money coming in because this place will use any excuse to NOT pay you and leave you high and dry trying to figure out how you're gonna pay your bills and rent. But what do they care!

Sedgwick absence one is what we use for FMLA. I have never seen a more disorganized company. Constantly sending me "we have not been able to get a hold of you and we will drop your coverage, " after I just talked to them. Making me fill out the same things over and over again, denying one and then accepting the same thing after I did it again. Its a sh*tshow company.

Hope that you never have to deal with David Lavergne. Most condescending adjuster and lack of empathy or the willingness to do the right thing.

Just stating my condition: had an incident inside a bus, driver uses peppers prey, kicks me, tried to throw me, drag me off the bus unconscious. CAMERA FOOTAGE. Police, Ambulance arrive. Taken to the ER, hospital, have seizures, medications, epilepsy. Bus driver is charged aggravated assault by DA. Is it worth accepting their offer? Or lawyer?

was slowly being poisoned by a chemical used at my workplace, have been off work for 10+ months and have yet to see one penny for my claim....lung doctor confirmed what was going on but they sent me to their doctor and he re-confirmed everything...I will probably be back to work before I see any type of compensation.. no wonder why everyone hates this company

I submitted my paperwork 2 months prior from going on maternity leave- and as soon as I start leave (mind you I called the day before and said everything was good to go) the case worker calls me so very rudely with all of this non sense saying my doctor didn’t write my due date on my paperwork so they couldn’t approve my leave. I was looking at my paperwork where my doctor wrote my due date on right in front of my face and she proceeded to be argumentative and not helpful what so ever and insisted the due date wasn’t on there. At 39 weeks, she stressed me out more than I have been my whole pregnancy. She was literally the most unpleasant person I have ever talked to. She gave me no solution and wouldn’t answer any of my questions. So I called back and talked to someone else and they told me to get my doctor to re fill it out and re initial it one week into my leave that supposedly was already “good to go.” This whole process has been AWFUL. No one is on the same page and here I am screwed over because of a lack of communication on their part.

There's a reason that each person's vm greeting says '...if you need to contact my direct supervisor, they can be reached at ###-####'. Because everyone has been let down by all of you. You already know you're pissing people off & they WILL ask for your supervisor. But when supervisors don't answer their phones either... Well played, sedgewick. Well played.

This isn't the first time I had to deal with Sedgwick. The claims rep said they tried to contact me with no response. Funny cause when I called several times a day to reach them and no contact was ever made. My claims rep was in Harrisburg, PA. Beware they aren't even close to being good at their job. They are a horrible company that makes you feel like it's all your fault. No wonder they only have a 1 star rating, if I could give them a negative star I would.

I had a horrible nurse covering my case. She never returned calls or emails. I phoned another person at the company and let them know. They told her . She finally phoned and yelled at me while I was at work. The next day she sent my open and shut claim for a workers comp physician review. Usually they deny but it was so obviously a workers comp case that they approved it. Now she has not answered my calls and requests to extend my deadline for surgery on the original claim. I hope my teachers Union gets rid of this unethical mco by next year. My school district uses them. I am going to see if the union can get rid of them as they do this to other teachers too. Horrible.

I was in a car accident and hit by another car. They were insured by this crappy firm called Sedgwick that nobody has ever heard of. They have been completely unresponsive. In this day and age where the customer experience matters, they are a fat zero. I'd give them a -10 stars if I could.

After using Sedgwick Claims Management services. I will be taking this situation as high up as I can at Walmart as I believe my employer is being scammed by Sedgwick as they don't actually offer any service. I'm pretty sure the company was just created by lonely people that have no one to talk to. Because they weren't interested in my claim at all.
