“Shocking service.
Had flood damage over a year a go.
I have underlying heath conditions and have been left in the dark, with flooring and carpets taken up and not getting anywhere.”
“All of you are so right on your negative reviews. I just started the Sedgwick journey from hell to help my husband with all the ridiculous amount of paperwork for his hip replacement surgery to get on short term disability. Of course they "didn't receive the docs" the surgeon faxed to them that the surgery was completed. Now payment of short term disability payments are "pending".
I talked to 5 different people today to straighten this out. I didn't get a straight answer. I guess I'll call back Monday to do this all over again!”
“If I could give negative stars they would be a -10. By far the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They say they've sent paperwork to doctor and not once have they, so I have to call and hound them. Never get the same answer twice, inconsistent pay...I'm am literally typing this 3 hours after major shoulder surgery because I found out that my 2 weeks pay was maybe 15% of my pay and should've been at minimum 60% of pay. The frustration with dealing with this company is off the charts ridiculous. You can call weeks ahead of your leave being up needing an extension and check in weekly and they will still wait until a week after your leave was originally supposed to be up. I would never, ever work with this company ever again.”
“I'm a general mgr at a bodyshop and I called to try and get a payment confirmation for one of my customers because vehicle has been ready since Jan 18 and customer dropped her rental car off early and she has no transportation back and forth to work and school. So call the support center to speak to a supervisor, which name was Davin Shillington and he was upset that they pulled him out of a meeting and once he got on the phone he was soo rude and disrespectful to me I couldn't believe it. I did call back to speak with another Vp are manager but was told they would call me back!”
“I would give them less than zero if that were an option. Poor communication. Each time I talk with them on the phone, they give me a different answer. Zero consistency, and no one takes ownership. Not interested in treating you like a human - I am interacting with them because my family is in a stressful situation, and it's as if they have made it their mission to make it more stressful, not less. I sincerely hope they go out of business - they have zero customer service skills and zero compassion. I can tell they are being trained to get you off the phone as quickly as possible. On their website, you can communicate in writing; when I try that route, they do not even answer my questions. I have not seen this level of complete apathy mixed with total incompetence anywhere else in my life. My employer offers great paid leave benefits, but if I have to deal with Sedgwick again, I will do all I can to avoid it. I am making big decisions like forgoing needed surgery or not having more children to avoid dealing with this company - they are that painful to interact with.”
“If I could give negative stars, I would. Waited 9 days without heating or hot water in a house with a disabled child. Snow was on the ground!!
Having tried to claim back my expenses which are in the region of £500, I have been told that payment would be made by the invoices team in 3-5 days - It's been almost 30 days since work was completed!!
I'm now having to call on a daily basis only to be told that it was being passed to the 'invoice team'. its been passed over multiple times already!
I've been down £500 over Christmas, living in hotels with two children under 10 just so we can shower. Please, please, if you have vulnerable people in your household AVOID AVOID AVOID this company.”
“Jan 2023, I tore my meniscus at work. They denied my surgery three times, and only approved it after the third appeal. My surgery happened in October and I returned to work in November, only to find out they didn’t process my Workers Compensation claim and now my employer is garnishing over $30,000 in wages Sedgwick is claiming that they paid to me.”
“I have had the pleasure of having Pauline Blehi as an examiner and she has been excellent in handling my case and keeping me informed of information that I requested. I have been transferred to another examiner (not sure why), and now I can't view any information online and my case is showing closed, my final doctor's appointment isn't until July 2024. I contacted my new examiner and she stated that because of the appointment date is so far out the status is showing closed, but I can still be treated. I respect people and their job title, but I really really miss Pauline Blehi.”
“For the most part if I'm able to get a person on the phone I can get my issue resolved after some runaround but the website is SO BAD. Like so bad that it feels intentional. They make you reset your password every like 3 months then 8/10 times after you find a password that meets their incredibly arbitrary guidelines (cant use the symbol " for example, basic stuff) the website crashes and doesn't tell you whether your password was saved correctly.”
“Sedgwick doesn't actually care about people. They close claims as soon as possible. I filed FMLA and gave them past and UPCOMING appointments. They closed it because the "old ones" were too far past. I dont care about that, just trying to be honest with you. I have upcoming ones for a chronic condition. Now, you have to make a whole new claim and redo all of the SAME paperwork. Good job guys. Geniuses.... Their website sucks really bad. If I could give 0 stars I would.”
“If there would be less than 1 star, they would deserve it. We paid 100 euro to make sure we are covered for the trip Dublin to Georgia and Back , with layovers.
The flight on the way back was delayed and we missed our connection from Türkiye to Dublin. I got explained on the phone, we are not intitled for any refund as they COVER ONLY DIRECT FLIGHTS AND NOT ONE WITH CONNECTIONS! I sent multiple emails asking to have it written but they are just ignoring. SCAMMERS. I recommend to stay far away from them.”
“If only you could give negative stars.
Work accident occurred and Sedgwick is the company that handles the workers compensation claims to send to the insurance company. I was ghosted on every level, given misinformation on claim adjuster, claim handler. They were unreachable. They had claimed to send money as a check in which I still have not seen.”
“Sedgwick were used to handle our boiler claim and it was unbelievable how incompetent a company can be. 25 minutes plus on hold to be told someone would be in touch, then a text with an update, an engineer who didn't show and then blames you for not being home. A call in the middle of the night (22:50) to be asked when you're free in the morning. When chased the next day - no engineers available.
The are massively understaffed, use unreliable contractors, and do not care about you.”
“This dangerous company ruined my life. A policy was switched to the completely vile Sedgwick and my income was reduced by 80 percent! Their incompetence is staggering. Any company that cares about its employees should steer well clear. Avoid this company and any that would use it. Nightmare.”
“The absolute worst experience I’ve had going through this type of service. Complete incompetence at getting anything you need to you on time. It’s just a bunch of kids working in call centers who don’t actually know what they’re doing. Pathetic business model for this kind of service.”
“Horrible co. Iam a 64 year old male got hurt at work they don’t have the decency to send out weekly checks on time. They could care less about you or your health”
