“I spent a month buying coats at around £1000 (6 in total) to try and find one I liked, with varying levels of disappointment and never quite been able to see the value for money. I had considered the Shackleton Parka but didn't quite want to push that far for a coat. I eventually took the plunge and ordered the coat and I'm so glad I did. From a company point of view, products are easy to assess online, delivery is quick and the item I received was well packaged. Once I lifted the coat out of the packaging I could feel and see the quality, of the materials used and the manufacturing process. The coat is a great fit, very comfortable and great for everything from winter walks through to standing at the side of kids' football pitches, keeping the cold, wind and rain out. Can't recommend the company or the product enough”

“I love the belt but I believe that a leather belt such as this is slightly over priced even around the £70 mark. I have other good quality leather belts which cost far less. However I do appreciate that a percentage of the price goes towards Antarctic conservation which is why I continued with the purchase”

“Have purchased several jumpers that have been excellent as stated on there website great quality so though I would invest in a top quality puffy down jacket haven’t had it long but on first apprentice looks great and fits perfectly warm And light perfectly happy with my jacket thanks Raymond”

“I bought a very expensive pair of socks. Cost plus shipping is quite an investment for a pair of socks. They are bulky and warm - good for boots in very cold weather or as house slippers but impractical for everyday use. Also - they stretch out after the first use and tend to slide down your legs and bunch up in the boot. Have to admit I'm a little disappointed with this purchase.”

“Ordered a Ronnie Down Jacket.[medium] It arrived within 3/4 days. Tried it on but it was too small. Usually, a medium-size fits me fine. I followed the instructions in the paperwork received with the jacket for returns. This was to send an email and I would receive a return label. Received no reply to my email. Resent it. No reply. Phoned them multiple times but it was an answering machine. Left a message. No reply. On the 6/7th attempt, the phoned was answered by a young man who sounded as if he had just gotten out of bed. His being the middle of the afternoon. He said he would send me a return label. This has not been received. Would not recommend this company.”

“I bought this sweater in the "regular version" and now in the anniversary version. The new sweater, despite the same size, is smaller and less soft. The additional duties and taxes (thank you Brexit) make this probably my last Shackleton product. Pity.”

“Beautifully well made jacket. Feels very premium and in my view better quality than Moncler or Canada goose. Bought the jacket for my wife (xs). She's a size 8 and this fits fine. She gets v cold but this jacket is really warm.”

“The styling of the product is nice as are the materials, but the fit seems a bit off. The sleeves on the HERO are way too long for medium (relative to many other jumpers).”

“I bought a pair of socks and the merino-cashmere beanie. The socks were supposed to fit 8-9.5 US, but are way too big and not very thick, especially for the price. The hat fits well (after removal of the huge inside label) and is warm, and comfortable but not nearly as thick and warm as expected for the price and from the picture on the site. So, overall, the socks are not usable and the hat, while very nice, is not a great value--I expected much more for the price.”
