Specsavers Scarborough . My direct debit to supply me with contact lenses was cancelled as I hadn’t been for an appointment with them. I hadn’t been for an appointment as they kept cancelling my appointments. Vicious circle which found me short of contact lenses. When todays appointment was cancelled I gave up and went to vision express! Horrific service! Will never use them again

Save yourself a lot of grief and go elsewhere. Eye test was on 10 Oct. Ordered 4 pairs if glasses costing just under £600. Went in 2 weeks later for collection and only 2 pairs were waiting for me, the missing 2 had not even been ordered by the branch. The order was duly placed and they were promised for about a week or so and posted out to me. In the meantime I was testing the reading and bi-focal lenses that I had and very quickly realised they were the wrong script. Back these two pairs went, another eye test to check and the correct lenses ordered. Appointment set up for 22nd Nov to collect.Today is 21 Nov and just taken a call fro Specsavers to say the glasses have not arrived. A search then took place and they have been discovered in the lab. There is more to this story, the short version is that they have had £600 for 6 weeks and I don't have my specs. Never again will I use this store and I highly recommend that you shop elsewhere. .

Me and my husband went to specsavers in Cannock, Staffordshire for the first time. Never again! After both of us complained we went to the Lichfield store. I was given frames that were too small in Cannock even though they chose them, so they had to be changed. My husband was given reading glasses at Cannock but was still having problems so had to go back to be told he needed varifocals. Lichfield told him he had to be charged again, so he was charged for the reading glasses then for the varifocals. We will never use them again. I also found them rude at times. Avoid. Disgraceful service!

Appalling home visiting service, two wrong prescriptions! Had a third from another optician which was different from the two from Specsavers! Plus I was told I had mild cataract in both eyes which Specsavers never spotted. When glasses arrived they had faulty lenses and had to be sent back to be reglazed, which took over a month! after over 3 months of hassle I asked for a full refund. The complaints I made to head office were not dealt with they just forwarded my complaint back to my local home visiting team! No response at all!!

Booked online appointment several days in advance and booked a day off work to attend. When I got to the store my online booking had not been entered into their system so no one could see me. Disgusting service!

I spent about £2.000 on my hearing aid. When I needed some new batteries, they didn’t have any!!! And had no idea when they would come back in stock. So I won’t be able to hear from now till when? Similarly when a few months ago one of them stopped working, they sent it to be mended, when I hadn’t heard for some time I phoned to ask when it would be ready for collection only to be told that they’d had it for several days!

ripley specsavers derbys plastic nose bridge failed on glasses only 16 month old but now discontinued mmm . dont worry we can get a new piece of plastic and clip it on for you .oh great. how much will that cost. £60 sir . oh Sh.t I was a customer for years

Unprofessionals taking care of your eye readings and executing tests after test just for the result to be unsuitable for my eyesight. 3 times they managed to release an issued pair of eye glasses and still resulted horror.

I Visited your Horwich, Bolton on the 17th Nov 2019 and asked for a free NHS eye test advertised. told the reception that i had an eye test over a year ago but my eyes ached and the previous eye test i had paid for as they said the NHS eye test was every 2 years. all paperwork fille4d in and initial tests completed, then went next to see the optician for finals tests and she asked the same questions again. on telling her i had had a private eye test a year ago she told me i as not eligible as i had an eye test recently? less than 2 years even though i had paid this myself. she asked if i wanted to pay ad i refused! the issue? why not tell me at the beginning instead of wasting my time, on telling the reception why i was leaving early, they said "this was new one one on them"?

Purchased Timberland frame from Lewisham branch and after two months the side arm has broken a £80 replacement charge was requested to repair a shoddy product. Why are Specsavers supplying frames not fit for purpose?

Overpriced poor quality glasses. Terrible customer service. Look online for proper functional websites, better glasses, prices and deals, fast responsive customer service. Getting access to your prescription should not be difficult or time consuming. With SpecSavers it is. They don't even use e-mail. Leet alone have a login functional website. It's a joke.

I have very little faith in Specsavers I have only had my glasses since mid September and have returned to the store 3 times as they are coming apart And the lens then moves Been verifocal lens they must sit true But as they come apart the lens then moves making it hard to see out of the lens The excuse they are using is that they are floating frames Which having visited a independent optician they said the glasses should not be coming apart like that So I have explained that to the technician in Specsavers and he replies there wrong And his right So I then explained I have visited another Specsavers branch and they have told me the same thing they should not be doing that And again the technician says there wrong too They took it to the back of the store done something and came back this time they have damaged it even more and scratched the paint off the frame There words were that’s normal to happen Sorry it’s not normal for a pair of glasses less then 2 moths old to have to be returned to store 3 times and then for them to damage them As the the ads on tv say shouldn’t go to Specsavers

Very disappointed at Macclesfield Specsavers as was given a written quote but when I went to till to pay there were extras to be added on. Complained to manager but all she did was shrug her shoulders Sent them a DM no response Sent them various tweets but still no response Appalling customer relations and a lack of integrity

Terrible service. Makes you pay the whole amount before you receive your specs. I was booked for an 8:30 am appointment today. Came here on time and sounds like the staff has lost my pair of glasses. Have been waiting here for two hours even after paying £89 and leaving town today so technically lost £89 without specs. The manager while giving a refund ended up charging my card again. So technically lost £188 for choosing Specsavers, and now waiting for the money as they said it was a foreign card.

My mother purchased hearing aides from the Gravesend Branch because my mum was waiting for a double hip replacement (age 86) I arranged with Audiologist to visit her at her house £90.00 cost. I also said that before we wanted to proceed with a purchase we wanted him to discuss it with me first so I could discuss it with her and my sister this did not happen and he made the direct purchase with my mother. Once ordered she could not remember how much she had paid it was approx. £ 2,400 this I found this out after the purchase and only by ringing up Audiologist. She managed to get herself to the shop via taxie to collect the aides as it would of occurred more costs for him visit her bear in mind she lives in Gravesend. The aides themselves are flimsy I rang when she received them to say this only to be told that they are standard ! hence why we wanted a discussion before we purchased them. I also asked what we could get to make them more secure to be told there was nothing! My mum has just had her operation and is now recovering but managed to get the shop via a taxi to ask what she can get to keep them in the lady on reception said just hook them over the outside of the ear and you should be over to hear!!!!! the aides are really totally not any good with out a better way of keeping them in and I did speak to Audiologists at Boots who said you can purchase a nut or clip to keep them in place and to get them at specsavers ! but we i've been told there is nothing to get. Totally unimpressed with the customer care and I would not recommend Spec savers for aides.

Specsavers Opticians and Audiologists - Deepdale AVOID THIS OPTICIAN. The practice manager is called Gill. She telephoned me to come in to sort my glasses problem out. On arrival she DID NOT want to chat. Just kept me at the till. She did not offer any resolution to my situation or asked to sort out my issue. I came all the way for nothing. I have been 3 times here for the same issue. HORRIBLE WOMAN FOR A PRACTICE MANAGER. PLEASE AVOID THIS OPTICIAN. THE STAFF ESPECIALLY MANAGEMENT ARE RUDE AND UNTRAINED. I cant believe what has happened. RUDE PEOPLE. SHE SHOULD BE SACKED IMMEDIATELY

What a ripoff! How can you justify charging £200 for a pair of glasses? All the staff are very helpful and polite, but I'm sure that's to soften me/us up when they come to the cost of the glasses. 'That will be £200 Mr . . . ' as sweet as anything Oh yeah. Not a problem! Would you like a tip too? No wonder they would like to.see us every two year's!

Bearwood Specsavers do not deserve to carry the brand name. Visited July. Now Oct and still no glasses that work. Was agreed a refund after 2 further weeks and having to visit Specsavers Halesowen to ask if I could swap to them and after waiting 30 mins to he seen by assistant manageress who had agreed the refund was then kept waiting only to be told the director at Bearwood Branch wanted me to try again (3 lenses and over 3 months later) and upon my refusal had the assistant manageress tell me he had left out the back entrance as had to go somewhere... more important than dealing with a genuinely upset and frustrated customer only revisiting for her 300 pound refund. Shop floor staff lovely and deserve a rise dealing with incompetent and lying management. Assistant manageress just lies to your face. Manageress doesn't help deal with customers as left out the front door and director sneaks out of the back door.. poor poor attitude toward customers. Escalated to head office and asked for them to sort out my refund so I can swap to a decent branch at Halesowen which is where I'd gone originally. Want customer service. Avoid Bearwood branch.

Made a formal Formal Complaint This complaint relates John Duminy the Director of Spec Saver Slough High Street who refused to come out to speak to me when I requested to speak to a manager having been sold frames that have repeated caused me inconvenience and I have returned to the branch numerous times. I was told by the meet and greet Hazel that 'John does not have the time to see you', he has said you will have to pay for another frame, or call him back on Monday! It was shocking to see that there was no middle management to deal with customer concerns /complaints and John thought he was to high up the ranks to deal with complaints or customers directly. I am sure that Johns attitude would go against the big name SPEC SAVERS ethos and customer care strategy which small franchises are not adhering too. I felt extremely disappointed and felt let down, will have to escalate, poor service and customer care at Slough Branch
