This 'company' is beyond a joke. I know most of you will not wish to read such a lengthy review however I feel that the length itself even without any idea of context should hopefully more than put off any prospective purchasers as I cannot stress enough how much this company deserves to go under administration. In my first order, placed 20 Mar '21, I wanted a pair of grey trainers, I also purchased two further items not relevant to this case, however I received an incorrect item. It was a white pair of the same model. They had been previously worn too, stained soles and the like. They had arrived inside a box that's label said grey/grey; the invoice said grey/grey. Yet I received a pair of dirty white trainers where the inside of the box contained mud and the paper packaging was not folded over nicely as a new pair should. I proceeded to contact CS complaining that I was in no way anticipating the arrival of 'seconds' in an attempt to return this unwanted item. Having paid with a gift card there was no way I could order a new pair whilst awaiting my refund without being left with the gift card still unused. I simply wanted them to reserve one copy of the item as stock was running low whilst I was waiting their confirmation of the return. This was not possible of course. Naturally they appeared much less interested in my case at first given that they knew they could not lose any money to me, with the refund not proposed in cash. To this day I have still proved unable to receive the item herein due to their stubborn lack of communication skills. They subsequently requested I order a new item, an inferior item none the less due to the unavailability of the desired item with them expecting me to pay a second delivery charge! It was only 6 days and many emails later I was able to receive a free next day delivery code for my replacement order. At least this is something I thought on the contrary they couldn't even deliver next day as promised, it arrived three days later. I was in no way compensated for my time or the lack of desired item. Having received my second delivery including 5 3pk DKNY t-shirt I was extremely dissatisfied with the quality. I emailed CS again to no avail stating that 'I have worn one of the T shirts only once then washed it at 30 degrees cold wash, as I wash all my cotton, they have shrunk massively despite the label saying they can be washed up to 40.' This is where I apparently became inadequate in the field of laundry for Tom at CS advanced with the accusation 'it is not unfair to assume that you may not have washed the DKNY shirt in question correctly... it may be prone to changing in size and shape when wet.' It is not unfair to assume therefore that whenever you buy anything from Sports Direct. you have to make allowances that the item may or may not adjust anywhere up to and including 100%. Fast forward to today, four weeks later, I have to chase them down again with yet another email asking why they are yet to respond. In summary, I have not received the item I wanted, more than 8 weeks has passed, I am still unsatisfied with my order. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. They called me a liar, unable to do my own laundry, there was never an ounce of sympathy shown. It was like communicating with robots programmed to ignore any issues their only suggestions be that you finance more delivery charges to resolve issues that apparently don't exist I have never felt compelled to leave a review before however their pathetic excuse of a response does not in anyway make up for anything. On a more humorous note. I have received more than a dozen emails asking me to review the company but also individual employees at CS. Congratulations Mr Ashley, your persistence has paid off; here is your review.

Very happy with the golf clubs, first delivery went missing second one arrived over 2 days, ALTHOUGH CHEAP HERMES ARE THE WORST COURIER FIRM WE HAVE EVER KNOWN.

Ordered from the sports direct.es site. Although the goods came from England they were delivered a well later to us in Spain. Very quick. No hassle.

As much as the items purchased are of good quality, why should we have to pay to return stuff. Couldn't we return to store? Charge to deliver charge to return. Will not be shopping on line again

In all honesty if I could give 0 stars I would, the whole experience has been horrendous and I can only presume that the reason Sports Direct is still in business is the incredibly cheap prices; as they say you get what you pay for! Two of my three items were wrong when delivered. I had feared this when reading reviews from others but thought maybe they were just ‘moaning’, turns out they were not. I ordered two large tracksuits and one pair of trainers size 9 however what arrived was: 1 large tracksuit, 1 extra large tracksuit & a pair of trainers where one show was a size 9 and the other a size 8! To add insult to injury I was blamed for ordering incorrectly and there is no customer service phone number to call so you have to go backwards and forwards over email. Additionally the one number I did find for head office charged me 41p (ok this doesn’t break the bank but it’s the principle) and then they put the phone down without even answering! After a week of trying to get a solution I was offered a free return via Hermes (which I then had to drive to deliver to my nearest Hermes pick up point) and a £10 voucher to spend in store or online (definitely wasn’t going to be online); the gesture was nice however the voucher has to be printed to be used in store and I don’t own a printer! All in all do not bother unless you want wrong sized deliveries (which you are blamed for ordering incorrectly) and a right kerfuffle to get your money back! Package sent back and refund pending, we will see how the rest of this disaster turns out!

Ok but I thought as I was having it delivered to a Collection point it was free but got charged £4.99

Great prices on stock however delivery charge is excessive and unhappy I am unable to return to store so have to pay again to return by post

I wanted to cancel the order but wasn’t allowed to (immediately after I’d ordered) and then received the order a day later than I’d paid £10 for. I now have something I didn’t want but paid premium for. To return it would also be at my cost so there is little point in spending even more money.

Online order came in decent time, but the returns process is ridiculous. Either pay to send it back or only get store credit in store. In this modern day you’d think you’d just get a normal standard return by getting money back, and not having to faff on with that. Won’t be ordering from there again. You lose either way
