“The item ordered did not arrive on the day that was confirmed to me, and ever since I have been bombarded every day throughout the day with unsolicited emails. I have had to "block the sender" so their constant, relentless emails are redirected to a quarantine email box”

“Product was very good but I thought having to order it myself online as it wasn’t available in store rather than you guys ordering it in for me kind of blurred the customer/retailer lines a little. Am I classed as staff now and if so when do I get paid?”

“It was a confusing and laborious process to return a poor fitting pair of shoes. I purchased them on line. Took them back to a store. Did not find a better size, discovered that I could not get a refund but needed to accept a voucher, couldn't figure out how to use it online after I found an alternate pair of shoes, went back to the store, the clerk was helpful, found out I would have to pay in order to get the proper size brought into the store, which I did ...now paid out 2x4.99 .... Had the shoes delivered to the store ... Will not be returning to sports direct ever!”

“I ordered some weights paying a high delivery cost for prompt delivery. I was subsequently informed that most of the weights that I paid for were not actually in stock. I tried to amend my order as it was not worth paying the high delivery cost for a small amount of weight. Their customer service did not respond to my request, instead replying with generic presumably automatically generated responses. They then sent me a fraction of my order at the full cost, despite my request for them not to. They have now been completely unresponsive in my follow-up attempts to contact them and fix the situation.”

“The service is shockingly bad. My order is still pending over one month later. No one is updating me. I have asked for a refund due to the delay, but Sportsdirect have ignored this preferring to steal my money from me. Unbelievable. Shocking. Deplorable behaviour!”

“This is the second time I've tried to buy dumbells from Sports Direct and this time it was successful, the first time my order was lost and it tooks ages to finally get someone at Sports Direct to communicate. It's impossible to talk to anyone, and only finally got through to someone after a couple of weeks via Facebook Messenger. The weights I bought are great, although the packaging was terrible and the weights have knocked into each other in transit and chipped little bits off the metal.”

“Had to order and pay for next day delivery online because the store do not answer the phone to check stock. Great for the items I needed as I struggled to get some of them in the size elsewhere. Parcel arrived on time but god knows how old the stock is. One item had a wet/mouldy label and smelt of damp and mould so no idea how they are being stored but not great receiving new items in that condition. Item has been washed but the smell is still present. Probably going to have to be binned as mould can be hard to get out.”
