I have not experienced the worst connection for the last 12 years! Even my 3G and 4g mobile broadband is working better and cost less than this stupid service. This is ridiculous. I'm 16 months in the contract and due to covid, I need a constant and reliable connection. And company worth billions is fighting with me for weasly 50£ early termination fee.  I was referred to "super knowledgeable" talk talk technician who, regardless of my warnings about long hours of tuning the router, ignored me and requested to restart router again. Now even the little connection I could get after my hard work is lost and the network is more unstable than before! I'm done with you and I expect your immediate response to my emails and requested cancellation with no BULL****ng around and forwarding to technicians, who doesn't speak English!! These are poor practices and business like yours is a shame and needs to be eliminated. Disgusting company

Hoping to leave Virgin Media, I recently entered into a cheaper contract with TalkTalk. This was the biggest mistake of my life. I had various problems from the start with misleading information (no, they don't cancel your existing provider as they state) and my contract. The common theme is that advisors saying one thing on live chat (which take approx 2-3 hours each time to attempt to resolve an issue) and then contradicting what was agreed when I've asked for email confirmation. The advisors say different things to each other and sadly mislead, mis-sell and lie to you. They deny lying however never want to see screenshots of chats with different advisors to confirm what they've said. They agree things like "two free months AND £60 credit" (confirmed three times via chat these were two separate things), then when I've double checked the next day this has changed to the credit paying for the the free months, then in my confirmation email it had changed again to the credit actually offsetting 'contract admin fees' that I wasn't told anything about until this email. Ive sent two email complaints in and haven't had a reply to either. When I tried to cancel/disconnect (twice, taking 4 hours worth of chat) I had to ask them SEVENTEEN times in a row to please cancel my contract. They just kept recalling details from my contract to me, trying to haggle, cutting me off from the chats, having various problems with their systems to delay me, I was transferred to three different teams and then (surprise surprise) after 2 1/2 hours of insisting I still wanted to cancel, their computer button to disconnect me didn't work. So, they had to "escalate it" and I would expect to hear back within 7 days. They would not provide me with an email or phone number for the 'cancellation team'. I've just spent another hour on the phone to double check the status of my contract. They have now insisted that my contract has been cancelled... And are surprised that its showing as active online and I am still being billed. Despite them saying its all completely disconnected and I shouldn't be getting a service, Surprise surprise, I'm using TalkTalk Internet as we speak. I was then told its probably an engineering issue and was put on hold for another 20 mins to speak to their engineers, to then be cut off with a message saying "we're closed right now" (at 7pm, no you're not meant to be). I don't know who they outsource their customer services to, but they are intentionally misleading and dishonest. You should never ever have to repeat your wishes to someone 17 times before they (pretend to) take action. I have no idea how anyone who is vulnerable or who has additional needs copes with this process. I beg you, PLEASE do not switch to Talktalk, they are complete scammer.

I signed up to TalkTalk on 15th December, to go live on 16th Feb. As of the 15th I still hadn't received my router or a tracking number for Yodel to check it's status, so I contacted live chat for an update. They told me that my router was on it's way and could arrive up to 6pm on the 16th. It's now the 16th, so I got back on to live chat to follow up as nothing received yet. After 30 minutes on a chat I'm then told, and I quote: "Thank you for staying on the chat looking into the account the order was set to be live on the 16-02-2021.However there was a external delay on the line at the cabinet exchange.I have checked the order and it's delay with line plant record team and I have escalated to the team and please check back on 18/02/21 the order will be progressed and once the order will will than dispatch the router and book an new engineer appointment." In short, they can't even tell me when my service will go live till the 18th when they may or may not send me my router! DD cancelled as of tonight so they can't take any money and writing this while on live chat to their cancellations dept (retentions) who are taking so long to reply to each message that I have time to do so! Worst service ever.

I am being constantly contacted by BW Legal Debt Recovery for Over £200 which they say I owe to Talk Talk ? My contract was cancelled over 18 months ago due to constant break down of services which, as a company you were supposed to have provided? Even after Engineers called out , the service was still being disrupted .Only choice was to cancel my direct debit .

An unhinged customer service department. Quick to blame the customer for any and all faults. Will charge you for engineer whether the fault is resolved or not. Still faulty? That's a new fault - pay again! Shoddy data handling and dreadfully poor security. The only thing keeping them afloat is that they're cheap....to start with....then they just turn the screws. Avoid avoid avoid.

The biggest scam I could imagine. They took my money even after I changed supplier. They mislead me on the finishing date of contract so now I have to pay extra for those days. Had problems one after another with broadband and router. They couldn't fix any of them. If I somehow got the guaranteed speed off it lasted for maybe few minutes a week. Had tons off problems while contacting them. Never got a proper answer on any off my questions and it's quite hard to contract them. Even I you managed to do so the previous talks or chats like they never existed so I had to go over and over again through the same thing just to deal with one problem just to get another one and had to start all over again

THE worst company I’ve ever dealt with!! WiFi started dropping out a few months after jointing. 2 years later it still drops out after about 7 engineer visits about 10 routers and having a right carry on trying to disconnect after my contract ran out on Jan 31st. Absolutely abysmal. Every time I rang I had to repeat myself over and over and of coarse I was passed from department to department. It got to the point I’d dread calling to speak to someone about my issues because it was so frustrating. The call centres are in other countries so they often don’t understand what I’m saying. From start to Finnish TalkTalk have been outstandingly terrible! AVOID!

Talk Talk Cashback Lies TalkTalk set up cashback with Quidco of £60 to get you to buy their product (in this case home broadband), and then refuse to pay the cashback. The reason I went with them is for the cashback, otherwise I would have gone with a different company. This is the only thing that made them a better deal.To make it worse it takes months to be told you are not going to get it by which time you cannot cancel to go with a better supplier! Shame on you TalkTalk.

My contract has agreed based on 18 months, first 6 months 13 pound a month And the remaining 12 month's goes back to original price which 26 pound. I recieved upgrades welcome package its says 31 pound amount, I rang up talktalk customer service to check why I recieved different prices this is not what we agreed over the phone. This manager so called Mr WESLEY, this guy tries to convince me how to screw me further he said no, your contract has agreed £39.95 this is completely not true where this numbers came from and he made it even more harder very dishonest people I ever spoken to in fact, he was the the manager very disappointed I can't understand them very bad accents scammers keep away.

Talk talk are corrupt in my opinion after having no service through out lock down and it constantly playing previous to that I told them I would be switching to another company so I pay them £108 and then the man on the phone had assured me that was the end of the matter but now there claiming I owe another £160 and are sending me letters via moorcroft debt recovery but this bill should NOT BE GETTING SENT TO ME BECAUSE I DONT OWE THEM ANYTHING AND IM FED UP OF THIS THIS IS WHY I THINK TALK ARE DISHONEST AND CORRUPT. When I called them regarding this issue they said they’d call me back but they never did very unprofessional

Desaster service. We received a outstanding balance for a service that they never provided. Nobody came to our home to activate their service. Never even enquire anything from them...and after 1hour and 20 min they left me out without even inform me that their working ours finished..so good luck on solving a emergency matter.

Disgusted with TalkTalk. I moved2 days after prev.owner cancelled the Talk Talk line. I cannot get broadband or landline until late February because TalkTalk. WILL NOT close the line for 4 wks, everyone else is 2 wks. Prev owner has tried to get TalkTalk to cancel but they won’t. Cannot complain to anyone because they do not allow any criticism they do not subscribe to OFCOM (thought the regulated ALL communication companies....not TalkTalk obviously) , try to ring them, impossible, no email address either. I’ve nothing to do with them but they are seriously interfering with my life I cannot get my get food ordered, I’m shielding shouldn’t go out either. Where’s the “care during coronavirus” and TalkTalk “for everyone” more like for themselves and no one else. I’m venerable and over 70 cannot speak with my family or even order a book on my reader. Talk Talk youre rubbish

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was a customer with talk talk for about 3 years. The issue came when I tried to cancel my account. I ended up spending hours on the phone to about 6 different customer assistants over a month. They were universally unhelpful, and totally failed to communicate clearly. I ended up phoning several times about the same issue and was reassured several times that it had been resolved, only to find days later that it hadn't. I eventually got through to a manager after ages on hold, she was actively confrontational and rude. She offered me £5 in compensation for the repeated errors on their part, but only if I could phone them again in 24hrs to have it processed. Needless to say, I told her not to bother and that I just wanted to never have to hear from them again. She then decided to argue with me while I repeatedly said goodbye until I ended up just hanging up. So I wasted my time and ended up being treated like an idiot too. Great.
