I called them before boarding to make sure my driver was going to pick me up - they ensured me 3 times everything was fine. I landed to find out they cancelled it 1 hour before the pick up time when I was on a plane

“A taxi was booked to bring and return my elderly Mother for Christmas. Having booked the 150 mile trip one week prior, on the day before the journey it was cancelled. Taxicode provided an option to rebook at an additional cost which was done. As the name of the re booked taxi company was provided I contacted them direct only to be told that they could not do the return journey and they informed me that Taxicode had been told. I then contacted Taxicode who confirmed that they were aware of the problem and that they would rebook it using, “one of their thousand operators” and would confirm that rebooking soon. I asked to cancel the booking but was told that if I did I would forfeit the fee which in this instance was circa £400. Having not heard from them for a few hours I contacted them once more to be told “do not worry a taxi will be definitely booked”. Again, having had no notice I called them once more to be told that the booking would be confirmed by 20.30hrs. With that time passed I tried to contact them only to be faced with an answering machine. At 07.00hrs the following day, THREE HOURS before the planned pick-up time, I received a email cancelling the booking, leaving me in a position of having no time to arrange alternative transport and leaving me extremely unhappy and my elderly Mother stranded. I guess the lesson is DON’T USE TAXICODE AS THEY ARE TOTALLY UNRELIABLE!!!! Pity there is not an option for NO STARS!!!!”
“Was charged double what a local taxi firm charges. Then asked over the phone to pay an extra £20. Was charged £90 for 11 miles then asked to pay more is a disgrace. Then they say if you cancel you don’t get a refund. Rip off. Avoid at all cost and book with local firms directly.”

I thought I was booking with my local taxi company. I made the booking (TCABB1FDC41EF) for £109.50 at 4.16pm on 17/12/21 for a journey back from Heathrow at 6.20am on 22/12/21. I realised very swiftly that it was not the right company, so cancelled at 4.20pm (4 minutes later) on 17/12/21.
I also asked my dad to call and double check if I could cancel (as I was abroad), which they confirmed cancellation had been processed. They did not inform him of any cancellation % and simply said I would receive my refund within 3-5 working days.
I received an email saying my booking was cancelled with a section saying my refund would take 3-5 days. The refund didn’t arrive for a few days and then it has been Christmas so I waited for the first working day to arrive only to see I have only been refunded 10% of the 109.50 and have been charged £98.55.
Nowhere in the confirmation email did it state I would only receive 10% of the cost back if I were to cancel. I would definitely not have cancelled if I had known this.
And in the cancellation email it does not state that I would only receive 10% back. It is only through digging pages through ‘terms and conditions’ that you find this information. But what service charges 90% when you cancel a booking after 4 minutes FIVE days in advance? It’s absolute robbery and I’m really upset as I feel hugely misled by this.
I received an email in response to my complaint telling me that the T&Cs were on the checkout page and in my confirmation email. The T&Cs are absolutely not on on the confirmation email and I have my confirmation as evidence of this.
This company are based in Holland, and they must use some kind of jazzy internet techniques to show up as your local taxi firm in the UK.
They have now stopped replying to my emails when I said their T&Cs were not on the booking confirmation.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.”
