It's an absolute disgrace, the percentage of the fare price paid that you are reimbursing after cancelling! I paid 345 GBP, had to cancel trips (6 and 20 February) and will only get 25% back. No wonder that your review score is so miserable!

This company is ru by criminals. They should be ashamed of themselves. Do not use this service they are the worst of the worst, will steal your money and provide no service. Avoid.

A taxi was booked to bring and return my elderly Mother for Christmas. Having booked the 150 mile trip one week prior, on the day before the journey it was cancelled. Taxicode provided an option to rebook at an additional cost which was done. As the name of the re booked taxi company was provided I contacted them direct only to be told that they could not do the return journey and they informed me that Taxicode had been told. I then contacted Taxicode who confirmed that they were aware of the problem and that they would rebook it using, “one of their thousand operators” and would confirm that rebooking soon. I asked to cancel the booking but was told that if I did I would forfeit the fee which in this instance was circa £400. Having not heard from them for a few hours I contacted them once more to be told “do not worry a taxi will be definitely booked”. Again, having had no notice I called them once more to be told that the booking would be confirmed by 20.30hrs. With that time passed I tried to contact them only to be faced with an answering machine. At 07.00hrs the following day, THREE HOURS before the planned pick-up time, I received a email cancelling the booking, leaving me in a position of having no time to arrange alternative transport and leaving me extremely unhappy and my elderly Mother stranded. I guess the lesson is DON’T USE TAXICODE AS THEY ARE TOTALLY UNRELIABLE!!!! Pity there is not an option for NO STARS!!!!

Was charged double what a local taxi firm charges. Then asked over the phone to pay an extra £20. Was charged £90 for 11 miles then asked to pay more is a disgrace. Then they say if you cancel you don’t get a refund. Rip off. Avoid at all cost and book with local firms directly.

Horrified by this company. I thought I was booking with my local taxi company. I made the booking (TCABB1FDC41EF) for £109.50 at 4.16pm on 17/12/21 for a journey back from Heathrow at 6.20am on 22/12/21. I realised very swiftly that it was not the right company, so cancelled at 4.20pm (4 minutes later) on 17/12/21. I also asked my dad to call and double check if I could cancel (as I was abroad), which they confirmed cancellation had been processed. They did not inform him of any cancellation % and simply said I would receive my refund within 3-5 working days. I received an email saying my booking was cancelled with a section saying my refund would take 3-5 days. The refund didn’t arrive for a few days and then it has been Christmas so I waited for the first working day to arrive only to see I have only been refunded 10% of the 109.50 and have been charged £98.55. Nowhere in the confirmation email did it state I would only receive 10% of the cost back if I were to cancel. I would definitely not have cancelled if I had known this. And in the cancellation email it does not state that I would only receive 10% back. It is only through digging pages through ‘terms and conditions’ that you find this information. But what service charges 90% when you cancel a booking after 4 minutes FIVE days in advance? It’s absolute robbery and I’m really upset as I feel hugely misled by this. I received an email in response to my complaint telling me that the T&Cs were on the checkout page and in my confirmation email. The T&Cs are absolutely not on on the confirmation email and I have my confirmation as evidence of this. This company are based in Holland, and they must use some kind of jazzy internet techniques to show up as your local taxi firm in the UK. They have now stopped replying to my emails when I said their T&Cs were not on the booking confirmation. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

They are thieves. Their software incorrectly booked the wrong date. I tried to change but they told me no refund. They are an absolute scam. Horrid company and they will steal from you. They need to be shut down.

I tried to book a local taxi, taxicode mislead me into thinking they were local (actually not even based in the UK, but Holland). The booking mechanism failed and booked the wrong date and time. I paid via PayPal, but I was scammed. They will not offer a refund even though the error is with there site software. Avoid them they are scamming thieves, nothing more!

Coach cancelled 24hrs before a wedding !!!!! I booked a coach through taxisroyaltunbridgewells.co.uk in order to transport 35 persons a 7 mile journey after a wedding. I paid for this there and then. I was surprised the next day to receive confirmation of payment received by Taxicode (this now transpires to be the company behind many an alternatively named website) what was worrying was that the booking was unconfirmed and they would confirm this 24hrs before the day of journey. I contacted taxicode and requested a refund and to cancel the booking. To my surprise taxicode stated that due to their cancellation policy I was only entitled to 10% refund, even though I booked this less than 24hrs before and the journey was not even confirmed. I called the company and emailed numerous times over the following 10 days , the customer service is appalling !!!! The agent refused to provide me with an email address or a valid postal address for the company ! They continued to lie and state that the coach company (coach4u - another company name used by taxicode) had accepted the booking and the coach would be at the venue at the time requested. I even called to confirm this 2 days before the wedding ! The customer service would not provide any details ie phone number of the coach company. The morning before the wedding I received an email from taxicode stating the booking was cancelled as the coach company could not fulfil the request ! This caused undue stress in the run up to the wedding. Please be aware of this company - everything about them was immoral. The customer service is appalling - I was provided an address in Holland ! Please use a local company with a good internet presence , I have learnt my lesson please don’t learn the hard way

From reading reviews I realized I got scammed. I made a typographical mistake on my pick up date and there was no support available to either amend and re-schedume or totally cancel my booking and rebook with the correct date. Ive tried calling the phone lines, no-one was picking up and they replied to my emails one day later saying they will not refund my 100 euro paid because it is in their cancellation policy even if the faulty booking was still not confirmed on their site! Found out later that they are a SCAM business and that most of their positive reviews are fake. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS COMPANY THEY CANCELLED MY RIDE THEN AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED ME £100 FOR A NEW RIDE then said I couldn’t have a refund because I am trying to cancel within 30 days! SCAM COMPANY

i had booked my taxi weeks in advance. when the driver hadn't turned up at the time i had booked for i called the company and was told that my booking time had been changed?!!! i explained that i had to be in london and that i needed a taxi immediately. they admitted it was their fault but refused to send me a taxi and then proceeded to cancel my booking !!! i then had to make alternative arrangements. terrible customer service, i will never use this company again.

*NEVER USE* I was cancelled on at 9pm for an 11pm taxi in the middle of the countryside in Wales with no way of getting alternative transportation. I was also cancelled on a second pre-booked trip the day of the trip and no refund given. Terrible customer service - don't ever use.

I am a member of staff working at The Jockey Club; I would strongly advise you not to make a booking with this company. Not only did the driver fail to show at St James' Palace in London (there is only one), but the driver ended up calling the passenger to tell him he was in St James' Road in Beckenham... I the company have today now accused my passenger of not showing up, trying to shift the blame onto us... INCREDIBLE!! This took place in September 2021; I am still in dispute (Dec 2021) with the company to a) get a refund for the second half of the journey that wasn't completed, and b) receive an invoice/receipt for the money charged to the credit card. Two very simple things, and I have given up communicating with their incompetent operators who simply fob you off, and you end up going round in circles. Unfortunately I will have to put in a bank charge dispute with the credit card company as I cannot see them refunding the money and their services are fraudulent and this is now theft. I only ended up using this company after searching on Google as Addison Lee couldn't do it, but please save yourself the hassle, and do not use this company. Shocking that companies are allowed to stay open serving members of the public and corporates in this way and get away with it.

Awful service, don't use it! I booked a taxi to the airport two hours in advance and called them again one hour later to confirm everything was fine. They reassured me that the taxi would be there on time. But THREE MINUTES before the agreed time, they sent me an email saying that it was cancelled and offering me an "alternative" for 4x the original price.

“I cancelled the trip because no taxi was assigned, I rang your customer service and got told I wouldn't be charged as no company had been assigned to the taxi. I was in this position already because Taxicode cancelled my original booking (which was £70 less) 2 days before it was due to be carried out. We were in a very desperate situation and couldn't rely on a taxi which had no confirmation. I am now £192 lighter in my bank account because of this.

Please can people report them to UK International Consumer Centre as they are based in the Netherlands. It is a quick phonecall with what happened. They have been getting away with it as they aren't based in the UK and you are passed from pillar to post but this is the correct body and I am told I have grounds for a case. I booked through Taxi code, and needed to change the time of pick up. Over the course of several days I attempted to call them, receiving no answer, I contacted them through the web chat form and got no reply. I also contacted the Taxi provider they and organised for me, again to receive no answer despite multiple calls over several days. I evenutually got through on the day of collection, and was advised that the representative would call the taxi company providing the service to move the time forward and call me back. This again did not happen...... As I needed to get home for childcare I had to make alternative arrangements, and as their fare is not refundable this cost me £120 in lost money for a taxi I could not use as it would have been too late.
