So after contacting the care and repair helpline when our printer tells us that the waste ink pads are coming to the end of their service life we were told 'don't worry. We don't repair that sort of thing we just scrap the printer and you can have a voucher for a new one.' We were told to take it into store and they would give us the voucher there and then. So we go in to the Blackpool store and guess what... We were lied too. We would have to be without a printer for upto seven days while a decision was made as to what to do about it. Needless to say we left the store and took the printer back home, as it was, at that point still working. I contacted care and repair again and this time I was told that as the printer cost more that £150.00 it would be a voucher but it would still be written off as it is a 3 year old machine. Fast forward to 12/11/2024. As expected printer finally says enough is enough and stops altogether. So off we pop to the worst store on earth, you guessed it. PC World Blackpool. We waited in the queue and Melissa came over to help. We explained what we had been told and she attempted to contact care and repair to get a write off code but guess what,,, they would not take the matter on. She said they told her it was a store problem and refused to deal with it. Her colleague told her to book it in as a repair though the service center but to request that the product be written off as it is old. She gave us a job sheet and said that we should go back to the store if we had not heard anything in a couple of days. Nothing has been heard since that day. I tried to contact care and repair but they have no updates and cannot see what is happening. So today 21/11/2024 we go back to the store. We have not gone earier as we have been busy and trusted the mighty Currys/PC World to do the right thing. When we spoke to the bemused Charley (Sales Manager) he said that the printer was waiting a repair. We questioned him as to why when we had been told mulitple times that it would be written off. He just shrugged his shoulders and said thats what they have decided (service team I suppose). We asked where the printer was and he said that it was still in store and that Melissa was not from their store but from another store. So for 9 days a printer has been sat in the Blackpool PC World store while we have been twiddling our thumbs. We asked him if it would have moved if we did not go in to store and he said 'no it would be sat there for weeks. I find it sad that a company the size of Currys/PC World still thinks it is good practice to sell a care and repair plan that is not only misleading but not even worth the paper that it is written on but what makes it worse is that you have no way of checking what is happening with you product as neither side talks to the other. We feel that I have been conned into buying a care and repair plan then told that we cannot use it for the intended purpose. We also bought a new printer as we work from home and needed to be able to keep working. Charley also told us that we could return the new printer for a full refund if less that 30 days had passed since we bought it but that make no sense as we have used it. I have also read the terms and conditions of the care plan and it states that if we book a product into one of your stores and you take more than 7 calendar days to repair it we can request a replacement product. That time has passed so I would like a replacement product. Really poor service and to be honest we both feel violated by the process and the way we have been treated by call center staff and store staff resectively

Don’t waste your money on curry care plan… My parents have been waiting a week for a repair. And the company that has been allocated to carry out the repair changed the date (E.L.D.A.R Ltd). My father is diabetic and needs to keep his insulin in the fridge. Not to mention limiting the food due to no fridge and also having to throw most off it away, but Nor does curry or E.L.D.A.R seem to care. Quick to take your money. You rather go with D&G never experienced any problems with them.

Investment fraud is growing hugely and I advice the public to stay away from these fraudulent companies. I invested a huge amount of money (Best known to me) and was unable to get my hard earn money back from an unregulated company that kept demanding for more deposits. I decided to try out the services of the Lisa Elizabeth, an hack specialist who helps people to recover lost funds. I can vouch for the team because I used their services when I lost a considerable amount of money in a dubious online investment. To be honest, I was skeptical at first but to my surprise they were able to recover my lost funds within a few weeks. The lady was professionally efficient in her work and what I liked most about her is that she kept updating me on the process of recovering my lost funds. Till today all I do is appreciate their generosity and that is why I decided to give this information to the public on how good they render their services. And would recommend them in any way possible.. Contact her via mail::: mail :::  lisaellzabet 6 6 2  @  gm ail  .  com WhatsApp  ::  + 1 3 0 1 6 5 8 0 9 2 1

But recently they have moved Karen repair call centre over to India And the absolutely useless... They don't seem to want to help and they can't seem to understand me why do all these major companies have car centres in India it's not what customers want it is an infuriating experience

Never again, i wouldn't even give you a 1 star. I waited just over a week for my washing machine to be repaired, after it filled my kitchen full of smoke, your repair man came out fitted new drum and rubber, said it was repaired except for door rim seal, but told me I can still use it, they would send it through the post for me to fit myself in a couple of days. (just to be careful when putting washing in and out) i then put a wash on after he left and the washing machine made loud banging noise and jumped round the kitchen, rang you and had to wait as the job wasn't signed off eventually got another appointment for repair a whole week later, then your guy apparently fixed that problem, but he still didn't have seal as got the wrong one, you did a quick test before leaving, saying it was now OK, low and behold when i done my next full wash cycle it done exactly the same, banging and jumping like mad round the room, but you still can't come and look it for another week, loads of phone conversations later I'm told by a manager that someone will be out to fix it 6 days time, I've not had confirmation yet just been told over the phone. I've paid this for 4 year's never had to use it, thought it would make my life easier, but its made it 100% worst. I could of brought a new one and had it fitted in 2 days, it's now nearly a month.

I'm disgusted that after paying for a repair plan that you are firstly made to wait 7 days for an engineer then another 7 days for them to confirm you can have a new washer, even after calling them out 3 times in 2 months, then another 5-7 days for delivery of a new washer. I WILL NOT BE BUTING ANOTHER REPAIR PLAN FROM CURRYS. Awful service, I wouldn't even give it one star.

Absolutely rubbish and rude customer service. Washing machine broke down, so contacted Currys for £149 repair. Spoke to Vuyo. He refused to book a repair until I have the name of the person who purchased the washing machine. Told him I have no idea who purchased it as the machine is more than 10 years old and came along with the apartment I purchased. Asked to talk to his manager, he refused that as well, saying I cannot talk to the manager until I give the name of the person who purchased the washing machine. Could not try to reason with them

Absolutely shocking service!!! My elderly mum’s oven broke down on Boxing Day, phoned beginning of January to get it fixed. The oven is covered with extended warranty but was told it would be 2 weeks before someone could come along!!! So no oven for cooking! The technician didn’t have the appropriate part to fix it and would take another 2-3 weeks to come along and fix it!! Next technician said oh no that’s the wrong part as it’s another part that is broke!!! He took a photo and you guessed it back in 3 weeks! Different technician again and nope still not working so he was going to advise for a new oven as it’s still in warranty! My mum had to phone to see what was happening and the lady on the other end of the phone said you’ve got to pay as your warranty expired 21st March, yes but this was reported in January and it’s not my fault you have failed to fix this before my warranty has ran out plus why pay for a service you done get!! Lady still refused to have this fixed. Your company is a shambles YOU LEFT A PENSIONER WITHOUT AN OVEN!!!!!

Shocking service. Waited over a week to get my Hotpount washing machine fixed. Engineer in and out in 10 minutes. Said it was fixed. Put a wash on. It stopped within 10 minutes. Called straight back and had to wait another week for an appointment. He came today Same Engineer still can't fix it as he doesn't have the part. Over a week to wait again! I won't be buying another plan from Currys.

My washing door just broke during a cycle for no reason phoned curry’s because I had there care protection was told engineer would be coming 9days for earliest appointment I then got a text the next day saying parts out of stock I checked online and I could buy the glass from the manufacturer that was in stock so found this odd, 5 days later got another text saying the same thing so I decided to call them to complain how does this fix machine and the part is stock from the manufacturer I was told that I should order the part then take picture and email it to them then they would book a appointment and I would get refunded,I told them are you joking I pay for insurance and you want me to go source my own parts so I can get my fix I asked to put to a manger I was then put me on to someone else who told this was becoming ridiculous I was then told if after my appointment date it’s not fix after 7 days I can get it written off with a voucher I sent going sit there arguing about it because then hadn’t got the date yet it was only because I decided to look at there care protection that it clearly states the appliance must be fixed within 7 days from booking appointment so I don’t know why this agent is telling me in excess of 16 days which this does not say. This is not what I’ve paid my money for they are surly in breach of there written online agreement to fix with 7 days I will never buy there protection plan again it is a con firstly if the appliance is written off they probably only give you the cost back firstly so what about the £150 warranty I paid so my machine cost £300 plus £150 so if I buy another machine I’ll still need to find another £150 for something Ive only had just over 12 months most likely also they won’t remove you old item that’s a extra charge or down to you even you buy another from them Just feel like I’ve been done up like a kipper Don’t buy there protection plans

Ohhhh my sweet lord. If I could give lower I would. This morning again... On the phone for over one hour hearing how important I am and that the advisors are busy and will be with me shortly. Ohhhh and I can recycle my old tech.. What an absolute joke.. The only thing that's missing is they should be wearing a mask and holding a gun to your head when they sell you this care and repair plan.. I was actually in Curry's and stepped in to save another couple from the misery of just sitting like a burk on the phone watching your life tick away while being told repeatedly how important you are.. Never again..

As with 'S' review (Refused to fix a hardware issue with a laptop due to minor cosmetic damage on the outside of the screen/hinges which had 0 bearing on the problem!) Currys have said this to me to and I can't get through to them and explain that the cosmetic damage has no bearing on the power supply issue on the opposite side of the laptop body.

Regretting buying a Hotpoint washing machine from curry’s The washer is rubbish and the five year care and repair is a joke Twice in six weeks I’ve had to wait for an engineer to try and fail to fix the machine…Fridays would’ve been the third but the engineer cancelled. The engineer is booked for a fourth attempt but I’m not hopeful. I’m also not very happy at having to take yet another day off work!
