Called ahead desperately looking for a BBQ part, spoke to a bloke, said he new what I wanted & needed, with plenty in stock! He ASSURED me he had what I had been shopping all over town for. I Drove 2 hours on a Friday afternoon to arrived and be told, NO sorry, don’t carry it! So basically LIED just to get a customer into the store! VERY WRONG!!

Having investigated your order, it appears the item was out of stock at the time of ordering and stock had arrived to us a few days later which is why dispatch wasn't the same day as the day you had ordered. If you would email us at feedback@tentworld.com.au with as much information as possible including the date and time of your attendance, and which store you attended. Or let us know if it was an online order for delivery and include your order number. I paid for my order on October 30th. It was partly delivered and I'm still waiting for the rest of my purchases. After contacting Tentworld to try to find out where the rest of my order is, I have been fobbed off with "Sorry we'll check with the delivery people, but we can only do that by email" and nothing further is heard until the next time I ring and complain. I'm still waiting to find out where my purchases are. This is a shoddy operation and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Your delivery service is terrible. I still don't have my items and I have not recieved my refund. Totally disappointed as this is the second time this has happened

I predominantly shop at Tentworld and don't write reviews often unless I've had a fantastic or terrible experience. Most of the time, my shopping experience it's pretty standard. My complaint is about the store Manager at the Prospect store in Adelaide. Over the last couple of years, I have had interactions with this man and to say his people skills are nonexistent is an understatement. At first, I thought, mmm, he's just having a bad day however his poor attitude towards me on products I enquire about is regular and, in my view, terrible. I once commented on an Rv5 tent on display with an oversized stretcher pressed against the fly screen under the large shop air conditioner. The tent was visibly moving in the wind. I said, "the wind will wear a hole in the screen if you're not careful". He dismissed my comments I felt belittled in front of other customers; I replied it happened to me on the beach. On another occasion, I commented to another employee who was serving me about what direction the stovepipe on the Ozpigs should go to prevent the soot or creosote from leaking out and causing a mess and a fire hazard. The manager (uninvited into the discussion) had a different view and said it's that way to prevent rain from entering the pipe. Whilst that may be true, it is pretty non-sensical, considering a hot stovepipe will turn any rain to steam, and what are you doing with that in the rain anyway? To prove his point, he grabbed the manual and placed it in front of me when I was paying for another item. Narcissistic and not open to any alternate opinions. I would not return to the store, but it's the only one near me.

I brought a $170 headlamp. Got it and the battery was dead and wasn’t able to be charged. Took to nearest tentworld and it was replaced. Took home. Went to use it and unable to as product turns off and doesn’t stay on. Took back to tentworld and was informed that it would need to be sent for warranty. Regardless that I hadn’t used at all. Was told we don’t know how long this will take. Still waiting to receive my product back.

Hi there ive had this light for a short time now and used it only a few times .now it wont go any brighter than a dull light ive performed a factoy reset to no avail. Id like to return the light for a replacement or refund please. Prior to this happen it was intermittent flickering now only has 3 super dull lights

Sadly we had to locate our delivery at a contruction site couple of doors down the street as couriers please left items at incorrect address. How they thought a portloo was a safe place we will never know, never mind checking the address. So no points to courier but tent world cannot be blamed.

Not happy at all with my online experience. I wanted to return the camping stove,because the rack doesn't fit and there is several scratches. Even the box was damage. I didn't want it, so asked for a return. It turned up that I must send it back (my cost) or drive to Punchbowl (40min). The inspection is needed (even if I sent photos) and money back not guaranteed. If the team said that the stove is fine, they will send it back to me on my cost. So... I would pay twice for the shopping of item which I don't like and don't want in case that someone says that the scratches are normal for example. 🤦‍♀️ Such a ridiculous return policy! That was my first order and I won't be back again. When you shop online, it means you don't have time to do to the shop and there should be a chance to easy return.

Our online return policy does facilitate a change of mind however it is necessary for us to recoup the freight fees that are charged to our account in these instances. If the item is faulty, freight charges would not apply, but to determine if the item is faulty, we need to put our hands on it to assess the item. Options include attending your nearest Tentworld store which removes the chance of freight being charged, should the results of the assessment determine that the item isn't faulty. The initial purchase was great and had a follow up call after to confirm everything was fine. Once the items had been sent from courier, they were picked up from your shop and taken to their depot where then they had said the items are too heavy to deliver? Yet they were able to pick them up from your store. I rang tent world support and it seemed like a mistake on the couriers behalf, but the support person was very lazy to follow up with the courier and only sent emails instead of calling to get the items delivered. In the end they still would not deliver and i would have to pick up myself. So i have asked for a full refund which i am still waiting on.

We have found that our best contact method is email as we are unable to call depots directly, meaning a faster resolution for our customers which is what we always try to achieve. Won't ever buy from tent world again. Postage to areas other than capital cities is far too expensive. Advertising on websites is misleading postage is never free outside of cities.
