In my local store at Newton Aycliffe today I was trying to arrange a date for a charity collection. The member of Staff responsible, Shirley said she had nothing available over the next few months but offered me some items which the store had stopped selling to use as raffle prizes. Totally unexpected but very very generous . thanks Shirley. And thanks Tesco.

they had the goods I wanted for a reasonable price and I was able to use my clubcard points for half the cost of the item. Goods were available for collection in my local store the next day

Having prebooked my Christmas delivery slot in November I proceeded to add products to my list, a few days before date of delivery I checked my items to discover that many were unavailable, including turkey & ham & despite always asking for replacements none had been offered so had to select the best of what was left. On the day of delivery my order arrived without turkey! I explained to my driver Reece that I am unable to get into the shop to purchase a turkey(we live in the country) as i don’t drive, my husband was sick with cellulitis & he is registered disabled, this journey would have taken me 2 hours & cost me £10, defeating the object of delivery. Reece phoned his dot com manager Dave who agreed to deliver a turkey of some sort to my door, great solution we thought & tipped Reece £5 for his trouble. On 11.01.18 our next order arrived with Kevin as our driver who promptly asked us how we were after our row over the turkey! There was no row or aggression involved at all, but it seems the drivers had some sort of discussion about us (we are both in our 60s) & decided to embellish the “conversation”. We have of course discussed this with the dot com manager, who was at first very angry about it but by the time he had spoken to Kevin he suggested that there had been some miscommunication, the fact remains that these guys had broken the confidentiality laws & I am left humiliated, embarrassed & my confidence is at rock bottom. These people will never come over our doorstep again, I now shop in store elsewhere.

Like some people on here I had an item not delivered on a large order. I contacted the customer services who made another hipup on the order. But I then contacted the head office for customer services and the query was dealt with very quickly and efficiently. Due to this I will continue to use direct line. This is the 1st time anything has gone missing. To be truthfull I cannot fault the service. Any company can have human errors occur but dealt with as they have is a bonus for any company. Yes I will continue to shop with Tesco direct as they have proven to me, that as long as you can prove the error was not your fault they will deal with it to a satisfied outcome.

I have never come across such systemic incompetence with any company. If I could give it no stars I would. They lost one of my items in transit and didn't tell me about it - in the meantime the relevant item had gone out of stock (again, they did not tell me about this). I wanted to return the other item (because it was meant to match the item that was lost); they told me to take it to the nearest Tesco superstore, at which point the superstore refused to take it (the item was a chest of drawers, taking it to the nearest Tesco was not a short or convenient trip when you live in London without a car). When I did manage to return the item, it took 3 phone calls to be refunded. I will never use Tescodirect again.

I thought I would try online shopping with Tesco just as a change from Asda and Sainsbury's. The first order was just under £70, so a small order. However, Tesco still managed to mess up and get half of it wrong. A few weeks later I thought I would give them another chance assuming the first time was an off day. This order was even smaller, just over £60. One of the products was an Olay cream as it was half price. I ordered and paid for the order the day before the offer expired, even taking a screenshot of the date and time. But Tesco decided to charge me double for the item which is the full price. I didn't even notice until a week after the order was delivered. When I called them I offered to send the proof I had that showed I purchased within the offer expiry date. But the customer service member of staff ignored this and arranged to have the small pot of cream collected at my expense. Neither my family nor I will be shopping at Tesco again
