“This is the first time I've reviewed a supermarket for service. This Tesco branch seems to be making an extra effort in customer service. In the last two visits I had an issue each time. On one visit the shelf was missing my favourite conditioner (it was on offer so I expected it was sold-out), I asked at customer services anyway, and the nice young man checked stock levels on his phone! He said there were 4 bottles in the back and he called through to get them brought through. There was no answer. A colleague told him they were unloading a delivery. He immediatley said he would go himself, find the 4 bottles and I would find them on the shelf in the next few minutes, they did. On another day I missed the small print on the 25% off wine offer. I had assumed it was like the one at Sainsbury's and covered all wine, but it excluded wine priced below £4.35. I like Tesco white wine and had bought 6 @ £4.15... obviously not getting the 25% off. The check-out operator was extremely helpful, saying that I wasn't the only one to miss the small print and pointed me at the customer service desk to get a refund. This assistant was also very helpful, getting me a refund, explaining the price limit and recommending a slightly more expensive wine. In the event I bought six £6 bottles, getting them for £4.50 each. The wine was superb (much better than my original choice) and for little more. In sainsbury's (Shirley not Clitheroe) in a similar confusion over offer details (this was on kit-kat bars; it seems 4-finger bars and kit-kat chunky were completely different categories of product!) I was made to feel like an idiot and a fraud. In Clitheroe Tesco's I was treated exactly as I expect, a valued customer who needed help. Well done Clitheroe Tesco's, less well done to Tesco who could have avoided the problem by matching Sainsbury and giving 25% off all wine.”
“Been a Tesco credit card customer for many, many years and my latest c Reddit card expired yesterday and have not received a replacement. Now it is so near Christmas I have to wait 7 to 10 days for a replacement. I am so angry about the lack of organisation and care towards loyal customers, I am gone, just applied for an M&S credit card.
Shame on You Tesco”
“Are Tesco in upperboat is more like are local shop, we go up for fresh bread, milk ect. We often go with are grandchild and the girls there are really good with her she is only 20 months and loves to wave to them. Some of the staff often say hello as we go by, some always take the time to talk to us, expecially George he always has the time although he is wizing by. Sometime tesco gets a bad press but it's the staff that makes a good business maybe tesco head office will remember that the next time they make people redundant.”
“APPALLING
after a long day of frankly doing nothing, I went down to my student canteen because honestly, laziness can be hard work. Only to find out they had no carrot cake for pudding, so I thought its okay ill pop to TESCO EXPRESS TO GET SOME.
looking back I see the naivety in my request but honestly, since those 2 hours have past iv grown and come to realise that not all the world is rainbows and butterflies and not all Tescos HAVE CARROT CAKE.
I would just like you to know that you've not just let yourself and me down but you've let the whole country down.”
“Ordered a drone for grandson's Christmas present. Tesco gave a collect time of after 3 pm two days after placing order. On the second day they emailed that item was 'on it's way' and would be ready for collection some time the next day and they would send a text when it was available for collection. We are now almost into day FOUR and still no notification from TESCO. Looks like the two day delivery is only an AFTER two days delivery. Very, very poor service, well below expectations. Shall not be using this poor outfit again soon.”
“I bought an oil filled radiator - it leaked. I asked for a replacement - it was faulty. I asked for it to be collected and waited 7am to 7pm no on came. Next morning I waited around for 6 hours - no one came, no one phoned. I took it back to a store.”
“Went to bury st Edmunds Suffolk to pick up click and collect waited ages then a rude customer assistant said couldn't find parcel so come back another day even thou I had a text to say it was in store. Not helpful assistant at all and really couldn't be bothered.”
“Bought soup mix vegetables came home it was bad.
Contacted head office refused to refund 1.05. £
A Richard said he is a manager and argued with me over the phone for 20 minutes.
Was he lying?”
“Yesterday I went shopping in Tesco new oscott afterwards I returned to the car only to see one of the workers standing there with his hands down his pants messing with himself while he was talking to someone and my husband said yeah and I bet he don't wash his hands the thing is he knew we were looking and carried on. What is wrong with some people?”
“I ordered a Candy fridge/freezer from Tesco Direct. Delivered exactly when they said it would be. However fridge was faulty on delivery. Tesco were brilliant, the same could not be said for Candy ( which is also Hoover ). When I reported the fault the young guy at Tesco could not be more helpful, he even rang me back as promised because Candy left him hanging on their service line for so long. They even cut him off whilst still waiting to report my fault. He told me he had sent them an e mail. It is now sorted despite lousy Candy service. I chose a repair although Tesco offered me an instant replacement.”
