“Bought soup mix vegetables came home it was bad. Contacted head office refused to refund 1.05. £ A Richard said he is a manager and argued with me over the phone for 20 minutes. Was he lying?”

“Yesterday I went shopping in Tesco new oscott afterwards I returned to the car only to see one of the workers standing there with his hands down his pants messing with himself while he was talking to someone and my husband said yeah and I bet he don't wash his hands the thing is he knew we were looking and carried on. What is wrong with some people?”

“I ordered a Candy fridge/freezer from Tesco Direct. Delivered exactly when they said it would be. However fridge was faulty on delivery. Tesco were brilliant, the same could not be said for Candy ( which is also Hoover ). When I reported the fault the young guy at Tesco could not be more helpful, he even rang me back as promised because Candy left him hanging on their service line for so long. They even cut him off whilst still waiting to report my fault. He told me he had sent them an e mail. It is now sorted despite lousy Candy service. I chose a repair although Tesco offered me an instant replacement.”

“My first experience of using this ordering method and I can honestly say I was amazed at how easily it all was. Both items I ordered were sent to local store and I am able to collect within a few days. Great Service. No negative comments at all. I would definitely use this ordering method from Tesco again.”

“I arrived at the Uttoxeter superstore 8am today to collect an item I’d purchased from Tesco Direct. I headed for the Customer Service desk, which has been in the same place for years, only to find it had moved. The trouble was, none of the staff I asked knew where it was now located. Finally, I discovered that it was now a part of the tobacco kiosk. This was manned by one member of staff who was obviously serving tobacco, scratch cards, etc and a queue was forming. When it was my turn, the member of staff paged customer services. As the customer service staff appeared, a Tesco supervisor stopped her and gave her a task unconnected to my order, I then had to wait a further 10 minutes before my order was finally retrieved, It was apparent that there was a complete lack of management in the store. Why not place a notice to say where the (so called) customer service desk is now situated? And why give just one member of the tobacco kiosk staff all the additional responsibility with no back-up? Please train your employees so that they can answer customer questions. Finally, train your supervisory staff to understand the meaning of customer service. I left feeling utterly frustrated and vowing never again to use Tesco Direct.”

“Bought a sofa 4 years ago and it was damaged on delivery, and a fabric fault. Then on the day of London Islamic bombings, I said politely to the Islamic chap at the checkout as everyone was speaking about it. When I said the words why can’t everyone live in peace. The checkout operator got very angry kicked off and refused to serve me, called his supervisor and asked me to leave. Tesco’s was once a great store but after the head office did nothing and refused to fix or change my sofa. They are rubbish”
