Immediately contacted them after booking the wrong date and had to pay £10 to change it, or lose the money altogether as there was no option of a refund. Just seen the question below 'how easy was it to get a refund' - YOU CAN'T GET ONE so I will probably not use travelodge in the future.

Learnt my lesson the hard way when had to cancel a booking due to a last minute change of circumstances. Absolutely no flexibility or understanding from the helpline and will not use Travelodge again in future. Shame to lose a previously loyal customer.

We priced up a hotel having tried 4 times to get into your site as it kept asking again and going into yet another window. When we had the price, we spoke to our friends and then returned to the site and found similar problems as before and to our disgust the price had increased from £49 to £57 which I cannot believe is due to number of bookings within minutes....

I’m sure that my stay here will be exactly what I’m paying for and expect. Booking it via the app however, was a nightmare. Online through the normal website, it kept seizing, so I went to the app. Managed to book it okay but then any notifications I received regarding my booking implied that I had both booked one room and two rooms. My bill told me that my total paid was for one room despite in an earlier line referring to the fee paid for two rooms. When I then checked on the app, it told me I had no bookings at all. Trying to ring your helpline at 10 pm involved a very long wait, so I soon gave up. Thankfully, I managed to contact the hotel direct who confirmed two rooms had been booked and they apologised, admitting there have been problems in the past with similar. A frustrating and slightly angering 90 minutes until I rang them direct, and they could not be more helpful.

O dear, sadly I have to say that our Travelodge stay was not at all good. But first the positive. The duty staff tried really hard to help and were friendly. There is vegan yoghurt for breakfast. Well with that over let’s get down to the bad The setting for the Wycombe Travelodge is poor rammed down beside a flyover, no on site parking, homeless people sleep outside the door of the hotel and the entrance is dark and doesn’t feel safe (for guests or the homeless). We stayed in room 422 the corridor had a distinct smell of urine when we arrived though this dissipated the next day (or we got used to it?). Arrival in the room we found that the smell was worse and we had to use deodorant to cover it up. We then found large pool of blood on the duvet The toilet seat was broken The car park is in the Eden Shopping Centre (quite a walk) Pillow may well have been run over by a steam roller. Breakfast is OK but did not make up for it I noticed they had a happy hour as it is probably necessary to get plastered before going back to the room. On the whole, terrible I will never return to the brand it was an endurance test. I have stayed in hotels around the world and this was on a par with some accommodation in China in the mid 1990s. A true waste of money. Get a grip Travelodge.

Booked a room in Glasgow 1st December 2023 using my credit card. The payment appeared to be unaccepted, tried 3 times with this card then used another card which showed having been accepted. When I checked my e-mail There appears to be four bills from you for the same booking. Phoned immediately was told customer services would contact me within 5 days to sort this out. Still waiting 10 days later

Lack of security as doors couldn’t be locked from inside and windows didn’t close properly. Toilet flush not working properly.

I booked a room in Sportcity Manchester and added on the same page and time additional room for my family member, only for her to be sent to another Travelodge on M62 with the Google map directing you to the end of nowhere, it took us 4 hours till 4.30 am after driving back and fort to sport city to be told that the post code only directs one to the back of the hotel. After contacting the customer service on phone, he was convincing me that it’s my fault and that I should accept it like that

Room 123 ground floor. No one in Reception from 07.10 when electric lead fir CEPAP machine was returned and we needed our breakfast - 6 other boxes in Reception until we left at 8.15 NO breakfast. REFUND x 2 please. Constantly White flashing fire ceiling alarm lit the room up - video taken. Funny but then stopped???? Washing machine spinning twice in the night woken up both times night. Called Travel Lodge booking and given phone direct to Burton hotel. Called at 8.25 ‘sort my no one to take your call goodbye’. Called again at 9 am when receptionist said she was in reception - I said you are invisible then!!!😫😫😫 Very badly let down at this hotel. Await your comments. Regards, Jim Ashmore

I was rushed into hospital with Cellulitis & was allergic to the penicillin so unable to use my booking. My brother eventually managed to cancel the booking but we are not getting a refund from Travelodge. Passwords etc are private so how are other people supposed to cancel on my behalf? I can understand no refunds on rooms but NO refunds on breakfasts? Travelodge had enough notice that we would not be there for food.
