Booking site not easy to use and trying to pay was very convoluted, needing to call the helpline to try and resolve problems at booking site end

I been in the travelodge in Harrogate town centre. Very dirty bathroom, tv was not working, no glasses in the room and only one towel for two guests. For £91 I will love to found a least a nice clean toilet and everything work on properly way. I will void this hotel for the future

Hotel was pleasant nice temperature and clean. Only issue is room above us had kids we have 2 of our own but they seemed to be constantly jumping on bed and floor even after 9pm which after a long day and drive was not the best kept our kids up who kept us up. Little sleep and now a long drive onto London lay away break not much of a break probably best to have kept on driving.

Booking process ended up giving me a double room rather than the twin I had selected, and now the company want me to pay a further £15 to amend the mistake their own website made.

Stay away from their breakfasts! Paid for 12x ‘unlimited breakfasts before arrival. Day 1, had no basics like butter & scrambled eggs (only other egg options provided) and they run out and did not replenished. Day 2, again no butter, no flapjacks, juice) Tried to cancel and get a refund, and after much struggling, countless emails, even phoning them from our country because they couldn’t phone us, apparently, got 1 day’s breakfast refunded! Disgusting service. False advertising. Furthermore, the shaving charger in the room was not working, they couldn’t provide an adapter..

sadley had a bad experience this weekend at Cheshunt Travel lodge, while the staff were really good, the room was good, we had paid for Breakfast for both my wife and myself, i believe it may be currently helping some homeless people or refugees, but children were waiting for the food to come out of the kitchen and taking all the hot food back to the rooms for the parents, your staff were trying tos top them but it was an impossible task, there were also parents in the resturant with school uniforms on obviously in the same position, doing the same thing, please don't think we are being horrible, but we paid over £70 for a room and breakfast, and we ended up with an apple and a 2 slices of toast, not exactly we were hoping for with a 5 hour car journey ahead of us, while we appreciate you are helping some people who need an extra hand, please don't forget your paying guests, this has put us off using travel lodge in the future, sorry

Travelodge are disgusting. We had a little baby with us we booked a hotel with a king size bed and turned up the room smelt of cigarettes and the bed was a double. As we co-sleep, it wasn't big enough for us 3 and we at the time of check out explained this but they refused to give us our money back or refund us. The cheek of them when writing in, they offered me a HOT breakfast on my next booking. They're a scam company and we're taking them to court.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS: London Harrow Travelodge - the hotel is of appalling quality and not fit for humans. We selected this hotel for it's budget appeal however still expected it to satisfy basic human and sanitary conditions. In particular, the moment we entered the hotel, there was an over-powering stench of urine/faeces in the corridors making it instantly nauseating to walk within the hotel. Following this, on our initial arrival to our room, there was faecal matter on a new roll of toilet paper (the toilet roll had a folded triangular sheet and so had been prepared for our room). Further lows: - Stained & old carpets - originally navy blue but entirely worn away in some areas to a faded & dingy grey. - Unsanitary surfaces. - Dirty shower curtain that instantly clings to you once you turn on the water to shower. - Breakfast was unappetising and poor quality. Coffee maker was broken. - Inroom AC and heating unit was loud and made it difficult to sleep with while on. As we are visiting during Winter this was not possible to turn off. - Very thin walls. Overall, I have never experienced such a horrific hotel stay like this. I stayed with my girlfriend during a Christmas visit to London and this ruined our holiday.

I booked two rooms in the Travelodge Willingdon Drive Eastbourne and paid in advance for both accommodation and also united wifi for two rooms. Besides the fact that the radiator in the corridor was hanging off the wall mean cold corridor the wifi would not work in either room, even though the hotel staff wifi was working. On complaining I was told by Travelodge that they don't give refunds for their failure of wifi. Travelodge took my money for a service they did not supply and refused to refund any payment. DO NOT USE TRAVELODGE

Booking agent claimed Depoe Bay travel lodge was nearly full when it was empty. Front desk charged more that booking agent quoted. Burnt shake had fallen after being scorched by fireplace vent; seemed dangerous and obviously in noticed.

Travelodge Cambridge Central, the receptionist is the rudest person I have come across. She should be sent on a course to guide her on how to deal with complaints.

We booked with travellodge in Cardiff, got there late at night and were turned away! Apparently they said their head cleaner had gone home and not updated their system so they didn't know what rooms were free or occupied etc. We spent the next hour in the early hrs ringing around to find another hotel or face a 6 hr drive home. They knew there was a problem in the day and made no attempt to contact us but amazingly we actually rang them with an enquiry earlier that day, they knew we were coming and said nothing. We contacted their head office the next day and they denied any booking until we emailed the details, then it took another 4 months of email's to get our money back. DO NOT USE THEM.

Booked online through Agoda.com there were no double rooms so paid extra for a family room. Upon check in, I was told they had a double room and was given that. Spoke to Agoda about a refund for the difference. They said they couldn't and I should contact Travelodge direct. I did that and they said they couldn't talk to me about it and I should contact Agoda. Basically got nowhere and was going round in circles. Avoid these companies. They are quick enough to take your money, but if you have a query, they wash their hands of it. Will certainly not use either of these two ever again.

Pleasant looking room on arrival apart from the mouldy corners and distinct smell of damp. Windows full of condensation and no way of heating/cooling the room as the machine wouldn't turn on. Sadly a poorly ventilated room with a busy road next door it was difficult to sleep. Torn between trying to sleep with the windows open due to noise, or suffocate on the aroma of mould!

Travelodge Central Croydon. Zero security as people from the street can access bedrooms without a pass key. Serious drug problems in some rooms and staff raid rooms at night to try and stop it. Sometimes they break in to guest rooms when they are sleeping and then just say "wrong room" and leave the occupants frightened witless. Staff known to lie when complaints made about the drug problem on the premises. Avoiding this hotel is essential.
