I only gave them one star, because I HAD to. We rented a car for 13 days in Florida. On the day before we were to return to Michigan, the car tire picked up a nail. It was too flat to drive any where for repair. I called Turo who contacted the owner. She wanted it brought to a shop over 80 miles away, but then finally agreed to have it towed to a shop just 10 minutes from where we were staying. The owner of the shop stated that the tire could not be repaired as there was too little tread left. In fact, he checked ALL of the tires and stated that he was surprised it was even allowed by Turo to be on the road, as all FOUR tires were dangerously worn! We were left to scramble to find a ride to the airport the following day and our last full day in Florida was ruined. Getting any sort of refund is not easy, even after providing pictures of the tread gauge. I will NEVER use them again.

Booked a car and had already payed the $400 and was picking the car up in an hour and a half and this clown of a company deleted my account and said I was still responsible for paying for the cars I had booked. Lousy lousy customer service.

Communication was lacking. I was charged $40 for shortening my trip due to a plane delay, And another $25 for parking fees in the short term parking lot that my host directed me to leave the car in. I was not notified of either of these until after it occurred, also coincidentally, until after I left him a review a positive review. Clever of him.

Turo allowed one of their host to rent me a vehicle that was not street legal and had expired tags. I didn’t notice this until I was pulled over by a state trooper. Assuming if I’m renting a vehicle it should be completely street legal, so I did not think to look at the tags. Turo allowed the hose to leave me a bad review because I made a complaint and Turo did not pay the host. Now Turo says because I chewed out the host in the chat for his negligence. They are removing me from being able to use Turo. Do not use this company they are trash! Do not rent any vehicles from Nain Barboza.

I wish I could give 0 stars, Turo is literally the worst and most unprofessional company I’ve ever dealt with. I booked a white Mercedes Truck with Brenton B and the he sends pick up address, then 10 minutes later he cancelled and said the car was already booked, so I called Turo and the agent and I booked Burgundy Lexus Truck with Randy and he never accepted the booking, so here comes 6am and still no response from Randy, so we (the agent and I) tried booking another vehicle and all of a sudden I’m restricted from booking, I have never even had a chance to use Turo yet, my Grandmother’s funeral is tomorrow and they saying that I have to wait 3-5 days to get a refund, this is literally the worst experience ever so BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK

Been Renting cars for my business trips for 2 years and with good reviews and no issues at all. They restricted my account out of the blue when i had a car booked while travelling to another province. left me stranded at the very last min. got late for my business meets. had to cancel a few clients too. Spoke top the agents through chat which was the worst and gave no help at all but kept telling me to appeal. Appealed 3 times and still told me they restricted my account. Doesn't even make any sense at all. Nobody seems to be helping me. And whats worst is that I found out on forums that I wasn't the only one who had this happened. There were a lot more people. This is ridiculous how it operates. Talk about customer service, this should be at the bottom of the drain. what a terrible customer service. I believe thats why they don't talk on the phone. what a joke.

Do not fool with these scammers ‼️ I was an approved driver so I decided to purchase a gift card. I purchased one for 200 dollars. As soon as I purchased one, I received an email requesting additional information followed by an email stating I was no longer an approved driver. I called numerous times and still haven’t spoken with a supervisor or gotten my money back.

If I could give zero stars, I would. They are a pro-host and not pro guest company. Be aware of illegitimate charges and claims by the hosts as well as Turo. After renting a car from Turo for one day, I was charged over $1000 for scuff marks and paint scratches under the front bumper (see photo) which I did not cause. I also don't take pre or post trip photos of under the vehicle!! I would never use this platform to rent a car again! Just horrible! Join the class action lawsuit if you have had the same experience. https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/money/fees/turo-class-action-says-customers-charged-undisclosed-fees/comment-page-9/

Booked a car at the Minneapolis airport six weeks in advance. Tried to reach out to the host after we landed to find out where the car was located. Received no response via text phone or through the app. Called customer service. They said will give you a full refund. Unfortunately, the timing could not be worse, they also said it will take five days from my $400 refund. The worst service I’ve ever had in my life.

After having no problem at all with a vehicle, I dropped off and took pics of the outside. A day later I got an email saying I was being charged $150 for bringing a pet inside the car. Not only did I not bring a pet, my sister who I was traveling with is deathly allergic to pretty much all animals. Neither of us own any pets. And we dropped off the car spotless!! I failed to take pictures of the inside of the car and unfortunately I just got a canned response immediately and every time I tried to reach out, saying that Turo is siding with the owner and they charged my card $150. Very sketchy and horrible customer service!!

Avoid Becoming a Turo Host: Nightmare Experience As a former Turo host, I feel compelled to share my experience with the platform. My recent encounter with a problematic guest has left me deeply disillusioned with Turo's policies and lack of support for hosts. The ordeal began when my car, returned in pristine condition by a previous renter at 9:45 AM, was picked up by a guest at 12 PM. Despite initially seeming cooperative, the guest's behavior quickly escalated into a nightmare scenario. Initially, everything appeared to be going smoothly during the guest's week-long rental period. However, trouble arose when she requested an extension the day before her scheduled return date. Given my fiancé's upcoming work trip, I had no choice but to deny the extension and informed the guest of the urgent need for the car's return. To accommodate her, I reluctantly approved a late drop-off until 10 PM. However, as the hours passed and the guest failed to provide an ETA, I grew increasingly concerned. By midnight, with no sign of the car, I contacted Turo and filed a "no return" report to extend the protection plan, as per their policy. Finally, at 1 AM, the car was returned, but my relief was short-lived. Upon inspection the following morning, I discovered extensive damage that had been concealed in the darkness of the night. Not only was it filthy and reeking, but my driver's seat had been deliberately sliced open, rendering some features unusable. Duck tape is all that keeps it from getting worse until I can afford a new seat. Despite providing photographic evidence and a statement from the previous renter confirming the car's condition prior to the guest's rental, Turo summarily denied my claim with a biased and lazy investigation with no consideration for common sense. The damage was severe, with one slice so deep it cut through the foam of the seat, leaving me facing exorbitant repair costs. In my attempts to appeal the decision, I encountered nothing but indifference and stonewalling from Turo's claims department. Despite the glaring evidence of foul play, they callously disregarded my plight and refused to provide any meaningful assistance. Furthermore, Turo's communication channels are deliberately opaque, making it virtually impossible for hosts to seek recourse or resolution. Their blatant disregard for host protection and welfare is utterly appalling, especially considering the pivotal role hosts play in their business model. In conclusion, my experience with Turo has been nothing short of a nightmare. I have withdrawn my vehicle from the platform and will vehemently caution others against entrusting their assets to a company that prioritizes profit over host safety and security. Avoid Turo at all costs, lest you find yourself ensnared in a similar ordeal. *5 pictures of damage, 1 predamage*

I had an extremely negative experience while trying to use Turo for the first time. Despite submitting all the necessary documents, I was informed that I had violated one of their policies and could no longer use the app. I find this decision completely unjustified and it has left me feeling unsure if I can trust the app with a copy of my documents. I'm concerned that I have sent number of documents and the Turo app it's not trustworthy

I rented my Jeep Wrangler on Turo. They allowed someone with a stolen identity to "rent" my jeep and it was never returned. Now Turo is offering me $10,000 less than it was worth. I can't replace what I had for what they're offering. CAR OWNERS BEWARE, IF YOUR CAR IS NOT RETURNED IT WILL COST YOU BIG TIME AND IS NOT WORTH THE RISK!!

We had a booking for a car landing at the Punta Gorda Airport. We were traveling from Iowa on a evening flight. We made contact with renter day of flight confirming everything was a go as planned for our rental. Sending photo with drivers license per contract. Our flight had a late departure, unsure of official reason, possibly fog. When we arrived in FL around midnight, only to find out the renter initiated a NO SHOW policy with Turo, when we didn't show up within 30 minutes of our scheduled pick up time. Therefore our rental was canceled. We were stranded at MIDNIGHT with no car. They renter and Turo apparently tried to make contact with us, but we were in airplane mode on our phones during the flight and didn't see any of the contacts until we landed. By then it was to late. I can't even fathom why you would do that. The renter had his payment for the vehicle. It could sit in the parking lot for a week. They still had there money. Thank goodness for Uber.

Rented a car from Tampa Fl and was charged an extra $150 by the host for being late by an hour. I called customer service to see if they could help with the matter, and was told that the host decides the fees. Turo is a recipe for disaster, how can you let the hosts decide on the experience that the customers will have? Not only the cars vary in quality from one host to another, but apparently Turo has very little power over the fees. Stay away from Turo, not worth the risks of having issues.
