Unhelpful and unapologetic staff when you call them to ask why you are told at 4.30 that the engineer isn't coming to the job you had paid for him to attend between 4 and 6. When I called to ask how they didn't know the tyre was in stock at the beginning of the day.... they just didn't care and offered to rebook to a WEEKS time! Cancelled order, but they just didn't care. Avoid

Appointment booked for slot 4 to 8 pm. Rang to see if he could come at 12 declined due to being at work and he seemed really put out about this. Turned up and said he couldn't get his vehicle round into our drive "no way I'm going to" he said. He couldn't get the wheel off due to his obvious incompetence stating I would have to sign a disclaimer which regretfully I did due to tyres being bad enough to change. He snapped the wheel nut clean off and then proceeded to leave. He did offer to leave the tyres but I declined and I was reimbursed but I strongly feel he didn't want to do the job and as a consequence of this he knew the wheel nut would break.I rang them to put forward a complaint being told it was because my vehicle was a Jaguar and some cars we deal with " do this". At this time I was speaking with a lady who didn't divulge her name but she did say she would see if they could/ would reimburse me any further monies I might spend trying to get someone else to remove the wheel and put me on hold while she "went to find out" suffice to say she never came back. Appalling service, Appalling attitude , never had a problem before with this company accessing my property . Totally incompetent , lazy , disinterested operative. Will never use or recommend again. Do Not Use.

Booked online for a tyre be fitted the next day (Mon) Received a voicemail from a miserable sounding bloke saying that a few technicians had called in sick so they can’t fit my tyre! Judging by the other reviews they must have the most unhealthy staff working there, as they are constantly calling in sick 🙄 Rang up for a refund, can’t fault the lady on the phone as she was apologetic and very nice. I just pray that my refund goes through smoothly!

Had two tyres fitted Thursday on car 1 year old no marks on wheels now I have a huge lever mark damage on wheel. Now trying use ever excuse they can that they didn’t mark them. Haven’t moved car since it been done. Wouldn’t use again 😩

MY COMPLAINT CAME UP ON TRUSTPORT WHICH SEEMS TO BE ALL GOOD BUT MINE. WHICH MUST BE HALFORD RETAIL AND AUTO GARAGES WHICH I WOULD GIVE 5 STAR TO BASILDON AUTO CENTRE THANKS TOMMY WHO SORTED MY PROBLEM. OUT NEXT DAY. BUT STAY AWAY FROM TYRESONTHEDRIVE WHO DO NOT KNOW WHAT BATTERY IS THE FOR MY CAR ORDERED FOR.THE ONE FITTED SAID ON THE WEB, SAID NOT SUITABLE FOR MY FORD ALTHOUGH HE BROUGHT THE RIGHT ONE WITH HIM BUT DID NOT FIT IT I WONDER WHY .???? I have a good idea.

Fitted two front tyres causing damage to one alloy wheel ! wanted too patch it up with sliver paint on a diamond cut wheel? Now been told I need take the wheel myself to Manchester for repair taking 3 days how do I do this with no spare wheel

Paid extra for a time slot for new tyre. Confirmed attendance on the day but no one showed up. System tracker showed the tech had arrived and job in progress but no one attended or called me. Wasted 6 phone calls and total 2 hours on hold. Not contacted by them the next day. Have called again and now informed me that the tech couldn’t find the address and tried to contact me (yesterday I was told they couldn’t get hold of the tech) Clearly this is not true that they attended. It was the car park of a church on the main road!!!! Am now waiting for a call back. Car still incapacitated. Horrifically unprofessional and under resourced service. Advise to avoid.

I wanted to give my wife a dashcam for Christmas, I was told ok to buy camera for home delivery (so that I could give it as a present on Xmas day) and sort out and pay for home fitting ater Christmas. I have now been told that home fitting and dashcam have to be purchased together with camera supplied at time of fitting. I will now have to return camera (and find a supplier more dependable than Halfords). Don't depend on what you are told by Halfords before buying something.

Booked an at-home battery replacement with a dedicated afternoon timeslot. Paid in full and received confirmation for the booking. Technician never arrived to complete the job, with no explanation given as to why or if the work would be rescheduled. Have called the customer service line three times and sent two emails to try and claim a refund, only to receive no communication in return. Avoid this company at all costs!

Absolutely disgusting service. TPMS sensor removed, replaced at an auto centre who have then damaged the brakes. Words fail me, 5hrs of phone calls and still no closer to getting my car repaired!!

HAVENT SHOWN UP TO REPLACE TYRE PRE BOOKED DAYS AGO AND FULLY PAID , DROPPE DME IN IT, WHEN CALL GO THROUGHT TO INDIAN CALL CENTRE OR SIMILAR MADE FORMAL COMPLAINT 1 STAR IS TO HIGH SHOULD BE MINUS 5

I bought a dash cam on line for fitting. After waiting in all day for them to come and fit it they rang at 3pm to advise they could get stock of this specific dash cam from the Halfords branch’s. I asked if they had tried Chorley as this is my local branch and they had several in yesterday. He said yes..I found out later after going to the store myself that this a blatant lie..they had plenty in.. I rang customer services who advised I had missed my slot.. if ehich I didn’t have a time at it was 8am-8pm. Got a refund..3-5 working days. Absolutely abysmal service.

Ordered and paid for two tyres to be fitted the next morning. Paid extra for AM fitting. Got a phone call at 9am to be told they hadn’t received my payment and the order had not gone through. Payment had been made their system hadn’t processed the order. Needed tyres for MOT this afternoon. Trying to get a callback from a manager and I have more hope of finding Lord Lucan. Customer service advisor Harry refused to put me through to anyone just read the script of “you will get a callback” then cancelled my order and hung up on me. Great service from a company that used to be good. Halfords you are a joke!

I've used tyres on the drive for years, but not now, after replacing all 4 tyres recently, the guy ripped out our TPMS and didn't put a new valve in, causing us to have low pressure, flat tyre and eventually a puncture, I had to pay 2 weeks later for another new tyre, I rang and tried to explain to the customer complaints, Id have got more sense from my 1 year old Grandson and now its just failed the MOT, so now I have NO car, as I have NO MOT, great. Please dont use!!

Halfords/Tyres on the drive what a joke they have become cannot be trusted, I ordered a battery to be fitted on a van at the drivers home on Saturday, I checked the battery ordered was exactly the correct one required so I paid and as promised the fitter arrived on Saturday, Without taking a look he informed the driver I had ordered the incorrect battery size and he left without fitting it, I have tried everyday since to contact them for my refund but the phone never gets answered 4 e-mails sent again no reply I ended up going to euro car parts and buying the exact same battery and fitting it myself half the price also I think it was just a case of a lazy fitter that could not be bothered fitting or he has stolen the battery to sell on as I have had no further contact I am informing trading standards and the police as I suspect theft by this fitter Avoid this company at all costs

Wish I could give a zero! Paid for tyres on 3rd December and given appointment for 4th. Got email to contact them. Called 4 times for a total of one hour listening to soul destroying music. Mental torture! Emailed them 4 times. It’s now 5th December and on on phone again. Do NOT use these cowboys. No customer service whatsoever. I’m now in limbo and as to when my tyres will be fitted, God only knows. Am thoroughly disgusted.

One star as I can’t give zero. One star as I can’t give zero. Placed an order on 29/11 for fitting on 30/11. Money taken, confirmation email to say I would be messaged on the morning of the 30th.... nothing. I rang to be put on hold for an hour, pressed option for a call back, had one about 2 hrs later but no one was talking, I stayed on the line saying hello for a minute but nothing. I rang again later to be on hold again for half hour so pressed again option for a call back which states about an hr. send emails, no reply. Phoned again today 1/12 on hold again so I tried phoning as a new customer... phone got answered straight away. I explained my situation to be put on hold for another half hour... I’d had enough at this point so I hung up and rang again as a new customer this time he didn’t put me on hold. He did tell me tho that the fitter had cancelled my order yesterday!! I was like why did he and why wasn’t I told. He said he’d ring me back as the fitter cancelled the job but he didn’t action a refund to me and as the fitter isn’t in work today he will chase it up for me.... this was this morning and I’m still waiting on a refund and a phone call grrrr will never ever use tyre in the drive again. I first used these 6 years ago before Halfords took over but now after reading other peoples bad reviews also I won’t be coming back.

Hi All, Waited for a battery to be fitted on our car £187 worth still waiting after they said they would be here on 8am 8pm.It’s now Tuesday and trying to get through to call centre 2 hrs wait what a joke never again .Don’t use this service please.

Car battery was dead. booked a 12 - 4pm slot. no show. no contact no conformation email (correct email address used). called an on the phone for well over an hour before taking their call back ref. no call back. payment taken, service Not fulfilled. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, A COMPLETE JOKE AND LIKELY TO GO BANKRUPT LOOKING AT THE STATE OF THESE REVIEWS.

This company has no customer at heart. I placed an order for 4 tyres on a Friday to be fitted on Sunday between 2pm and 4pm. On Saturday an email is sent to confirm the order is in place. Sunday arrived so 2pm I am looking out for the tyres to be fitted. Nobody shows up. Just before 3pm I call the 033 number and was on hold for 1 hour and 9 seconds of which I was on hold. I left after pressing 2 for them to call me back. That was at 1549pm. They layer called at 1956pm and I missed the call. They did not seek to send an email either. Monday I sent an email at 0923am raising a complaint about the tyres. No response until I called again today on Friday which is a complete week since the tyres were ordered and paid for. When I spoke to the lady on the phone who had to call me back because nobody picks up the phone she told me that they cancelled my order because the tyres I ordered where not delivered to them on time. I then said so why didnt someone call to let me know and why ha e I not been refunded my money to which she said "oh your order was cancelled and money will be with you in three days". However, I said there is no refund in my account its Friday and according to Halfords the order was cancelled latest Saturday. At this point as I was talking to her an email was dropped into my account, I think she did. This means that no cancellation was done or refund but that work was too much for them and forgot to complete a simple job. I asked to make a complaint but was told she will escalate the issue on the system but will be getting a voucher. I said the £5 voucher? She said she doesnt know. Guess what? They just sent an£10 voucher. The maths doesnt add up. If I had not followed up there would not be a refund, my car which I use for business would remain with bad tyres, and my work hindered. £10 is the compensation for the inconvinience they have caused and the poor management and the near fraud incident carried out by this company.
