I was given a time slot of 1515hrs to 1615hrs. At 1645hrs I phoned and was told the fitter was on the job before mine, running 39mins late and would be coming to me next. At 1800hrs I phoned and was told he had two more jobs before coming to me! This meant he could end up coming late late evening or run out of time altogether. Customer service is really really bad when you are blatantly lied to and let down, took 15 mins on hold each time to speak to someone too. Literally the absolute worst service ever, never ever again!

Terrible service. Tyre ordered and paid for at 9am Saturday morning, for fitting on Sunday. Phone call at 8pm Saturday night to say the tyre is not available and the appointment is cancelled. An entire day wasted whereby I could have been sorting out the tyre change. Car is needed first thing Monday morning, for work, where I work in an operating theatre at a hospital that is not linked to any reasonable public transport! Now got to try and find a tyre fitter open on a Sunday who has the tyre in stock, otherwise several people may not get their operations on Monday. Thank you Halfords!!

I ordered windscreen wiper blade replacements, arranged a date/time and paid. I also ordered a pair of tyres for another car, to be fitted at the same appointment. On the fitting day I received an email confirming both of the fitting times and a voicemail. I tried to ring and spoke to someone at the 3rd attempt: thecfirst two were aborted because nobody can hang on waiting for ever. "They don't have the wiper blades", no alternative suggested, no interest in trying to find one, wouldn't even attempt it, just, "I can do a refund", as if that put the matter right. I doubt if I have ever spoken to anyone less interested in resolving a problem. They just walked away from their responsibility, the contract, with a begrudging, "Sorry mate,".

Ordered tyres for caravan as the website states they do this. They arrived and we're unable to fit as the tyres were unsuitable for use on a caravan despite clicking this option when ordering. Still waiting on a refund of nearly £200, customer service is poor. Caused a lot of stress and difficulties prior to going on holiday. I would not recommend for caravan tyres.

Had tyre fitted in April 20 the mechanic damaged the tyres pressure sensor unit. After numerous e-mails to Customer Service I was given the go ahead to get the sensor replaced at local Nissan dealers. I paid £180 and on 29th June 20 I submitted the invoice to Tyres on the Drive for reimbursement. Was told it would be in my bank account within 7-10 days! It is now 27th August 20 and I am still waiting despite 6 further emails to chase payment

Do not use Halfords Tyres on the Drive. They came to fit 4 tyres onto 4 brand new alloy wheels. The fitter incorrectly used an airblast bead sealing tool catching the tool between the rim and tyre bead causing damage to 3 of the 4 wheels, denting the edge of the rims outwards. Halfords deny resposibilty of course, they say damage was there from manufacturing. These rims were checked when delivered and also the fitter didn't see anything wrong with them when trying to fit the tyres. How would 3 out of 4 wheels be delivered damaged in the same way. Bear in mind the dent in each rim is from the inside out, totally the opposite of damage caused by dropping a wheel. This will be going to court

Do not use this company! They did not even bother to turn up. Called me at 6pm to say they couldn't make it so I was unable to go on our family holiday the next day. No sign of an apology of a refund. Do not use them.

Supposed to have AGM battery fitted to my car at 8am 9/08/20 Turned up on time but was unable to fit due to not having the code reader. New appointment made for 10-12 slot on 10/08/2020 notes made on the system to bring the battery saver and the coding equipment.. . nobody turned up at the alloted time. Waited 15 minutes and called on hold for 20 minutes time now 12.35 . Was told fitter had just had accident in the last 10 minutes and was at hospital Despite the slot been 10 till 12 I accepted their apology and Took the 20£ compensation for my waiting. The new guy would be there before 1.30 guess what he wasn't. Called again to be told he would call me when he was on his way. He called at 2.15 to say he had one more job to do then he would be with me. I asked if he had the equipment yo code the battery to which he said NO. I then contacted the office again and told them to cancel the order and refund me my money. If I'd made an error they would have charged me £40 they owe me £40 for the 4.5 hrs wasted. Bet I never see it. Looking st other comments on this website looks like I've had a lucky escape

Booked to have a battery fitted as my old one was absolutely dead. The fitters turned up on time & quickly fitted the new battery with no fuss. Would happily use them again

Had 4 new tyres fitted on my drive. Fitter decided to dispose a tyre (Different make and size) in my front garden! Was not left by accident as thrown at back of flower beds, squashing plants. They advertise tyres are disposed of responsibly?? Absolutely shocking and disgusting behaviour. Contacted them and they said they will collect the tyre. What about my squashed plants? We’re looking into it, was his reply. Photos have been sent. Would never use this company again! Rude and no care.

Terrible service they fitted a faulty car battery in the car when I paid for a new one and tried to lie and make out that the car alternator was faulty not the battery I andrewhad to get the car towed to a garage the mechanic confirmed that the battery was faulty they also used the wrong tools when gaining access to the battery and damaged bolts the 2 mechanics who attended on 2 occasions didn't even have jump leads they are amateurs and employ people who have no clue what they are doing I am in the process of claiming compensation against the company DO NOT USE THESE COWBOYS

Absolutely disgusting customer service! Story starts, I get a phone call from TOTD saying they can’t fit the wipers as they don’t have the stock. No worries just refund the money. Fitter arrives to change all 4 tyres, 2 tyres in he informs me that he can’t balance the wheels as he doesn’t have the wheel lock for the balancing machine and that someone will be along shortly to balance them. In the meantime he is telling me about what a s**t place to work it is (not the best way to sell it, his words not mine). I phone customer services to be told that it’s a 2 day wait to get the wheels balanced?!? It’s okay because I was offered A £2.50 refund! I rebooked to get them done on the Saturday following between 12-2 pm. 2pm comes around and no sign of the fitter and no phone call to say that he is running late. So again I phone customer services and told “we don’t know where he is”. After waiting 10 minutes I’m then told he is leaving the last job and will be here within 15 minutes to carry out the wheel balancing. I then get a phone call from the fitter saying that he hasn’t even finished the last job and that he will be the best part of an hour! Eventually having the job finished I was then offered a £15 refund for the inconvenience, very generous! At the same time as I was issued the refund I was told that the issue would be escalated to management level and I was promised a phone call back yesterday (Monday 6th) and sure enough I heard nothing. So today (Tuesday 7th) I waited on hold for the best part of an hour before opting for the call back option, to speak to an incredibly rude man saying that the manager will just reject the call as it’s not worth escalating. I have never received customer service quite as bad as this, will never use again and I’m still waiting for the response from the email I sent in. I really would at all cost avoid this company, before halfrauds bought this company it was spot on but they have just ruined it! I really look forward to the promised phone call from one of your managers.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I placed an order via the website, I typed in my registration number and picked the right size of tyre for my vehicle. I chose two tyres from the tyres that were shown to me thinking that they would be suitable for my car but when the fitter came out to fit them he told me that I had selected the wrong ones for my vehicle. He did say to me that he knew when he picked them that they were not going to be the right ones. I then rang up head office to to get a refund only to be told that i would have to pay £40 charge because the fitter came out to fit the tyres and that it was up to me to check that I ordered the correct tyres because the information on the website is only a guide.

Ordered on the Tuesday and they cancelled on the Thursday. Offered me Monday the week after for the fitting. 6 days for a new tyre doesn't work when you have a puncture. I was hoping they would be great but bad experience here. I will not be using again as you can't rely on them unfortunately.

In all honesty, I panicked post placing my order for my tyre fitting with “Halfords Tyres on the Drive” after reading absolute horror stories on this review website... I can confirm that, in my instance, - I am not speaking for everyone - that these are far from true, & not to be put off! I am Glasgow based & booked/paid for one new tyre to be fitted at my home with next-day fitting, & an “anytime appointment.” I received an email at 08:00 the following fitting morning (as it states in the booking instructions) notifying me of my allocated time slot for my fitting. Following this, all was well - the fitter turned up; fitted my tyre perfectly for me within 15 minutes, no hassle or issues or excuses; very kind & punctual; most of all, done a great job. No damages or marks to my vehicle or tyre either! Sadly, I didn’t manage to catch his name but I would happily deal with him again :-). Also cheap tyres, but this actually doesn’t mean cheap quality. This was NOT too good to be true for me. The only reason for 4/5/the missing star is because my time slot was 11:30-15:30 but, the fitter turned up at 09:30 with no phone call or text for pre-warning. However, this was fine as I was home to deal with it anyways & the earlier the job is dealt with, the better too! Brilliant service from Halfords which I recommend & would use again!

This is the second time I have used them and second time I have had problems. 1st time I was kept waiting for 2 hours over the allocated time slot, I was not called or informed that the fitment was going to be delayed. Second time I was offer trailer tyres on the website for a car, even when you have put the vehicle reg in. Then I had to call them back to find out what was happening. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION!!!!!!!

A total nightmare from "Liars" on the Drive! If you want to waste loads of time and £, go ahead - an absolute disgrace. The fitters and technicians who came to my house should be sacked for incompetence and dangerous practices. The battery was not secured properly so the cables were all loose! They messed up two (yes two!) fuses in my car, and no-one cared or did anything to put it right. An absolute JOKE. Please avoid.

Please stay away from this company.If it will be possible I woudn't give any star. Changing my tyres by Halfords was complete disaster. The guy who was doing he struggle to change it and it take him hours to change just w tyres. The worst is he scratch all my alloy wheel. I'm always very careful driving to not scratch them but after Halfords change my tyres my alloys look terrible. I did complain several times and I was told it is old and not done by them. First they have distroy and after they have accused customer of lying. Terrible customer service. Please avoid this service. Don't make this same mistake as I did. Very disappointed customer.

Absolutely shocking service!!!! Went from praising this service to promising never to use them again. I originally ordered two new tyres. The guy came out and advised that I only needed one tyre and a tpms service on the other. He advised me to return one tyre and book the service in which would be much cheaper. So I did. When booking In the service I was told that I had to pay them an extra 5 pounds even though I had only taken one tyre. This is because, now I only had one tyre, that I was being charged a £30 call out fee and it was another £40 charge For the new call out fee for the tpms service. They said they would kindly wavier the £6 cost of the tmps service. So basically I now owed them £5 on top of £130 pounds I had already paid but instead of get two brand new tyres I was now getting one tyre and a £6 valve. Complete daylight robbery. In the end I demand that they fulfil the original order of two tyres and I’ll take the valve business and any future business elsewhere. Why would any pay an additional £70 to loose a tyre and gain a £6 valve. Halfords you really need to reconsider you fees, your policies and your customer service!!!!
