BEWARE OF UBER EATS PROMO SCAM For a week I received a 50% off groceries promo on Uber. (See attached). I tried several times to use the promo without success. I was told TWICE by Uber to purchase my items at full price then contaxt Uber afterwards. I refused to do so and between doing research and more back and forth with Uber i was told the promotion was invalid. So they advertise 50% off, then it doesn't work, then they tell people purchase at full price then they ask you to contact them after the purchase and then tell the customer the promo they advertised was INVALID I am disabled and on a fixed incone, this was a disgusting attempt to steal money

I am writing this review the next day to remove the emotions of the moment. My pizza was delivered 30 minutes late and was stone cold. The driver walked away from me as I was talking to him. When I called, the local Giordanos manager was very professional, apologetic, and refunded my money. He also explained that they use Uber Eats as their delivery service. They have a history of problems with Uber Eats and their drivers. Uber Eats stacks deliveries from multiple restaurants. This creates multiple pickups, and multiple delivery stops without Giordano’s knowledge. This makes the Giordano’s delivery app useless as their estimated delivery time does not consider the drivers other, unknown to the pizza restaurant, activities. While Giordanos produces a quality pie and adheres to a positive customer service code, they fail in delivery service by using an inferior company, UberEats, as a subcontractor. I can not recommend that anyone order delivery from Giordano’s. You also might be cautious with other restaurants who use Uber Eats for the same reason.

Way to expensive with all of the hidden fees. Not worth it at all.

I delivered an order to a customer who placed an order and left delivery instructions to leave the food at the front desk. The apartment building had a secured entrance. Front desk Personnel were gone home, Buzz the customer's apartment and no answer, throughout the entire process of the delivery, I text the customer and never received a response, while also providing customer with a countdown for my arrival, I called the customer from my personal phone and did not get an answer. Uber system also makes phone calls to the customer when you arrive if the customer selects hand to hand delivery. Which would make sense if you live in a secured apartment building. Now I'll be the first to admit, there are some problems with the system, but there's also problems coming from the customer's side as well. With a hand to hand delivery the system does not give you an option to take a picture. So I left the food outside the door. Customer chose to use the metric system to bully back by giving a negative rating. That is the customer's choice, I don't care, the fault is the customer's own. The customers are paying for the delivery because they don't want to go through the trouble of picking it up. Make no mistake! I paid for the gas, the tires, the oil, and the car note. What you paid doesn't replace any of that. And my time for waiting on your food, Uber does not pay me for. The least you could do, be at the door to get your food. If it's not important to you, what do you expect the drivers to do. Customers fail to turn on their porch lights, give the wrong addresses, don't list the type of drink (Coke Pepsi Sprite), are missing addresses on their homes, have unstable damaged porch steps, must I go on. The driver does not control traffic anymore than you do when you're driving. So before you start throwing stones in Your Glass House, take a look at yourself!

I placed an order through Uber Eats with a local restaurant here in Oklahoma. I waited past the estimated arrival time. A knock on my apartment door from our building maintenance employee holding my food order and drink which he found outside of building on the ground. Uber driver did not contact me nor did she follow the written delivery instructions that are part of my Uber account file. I reported the incident and requested a refund of the driver tip. Uber Eats response was they did an investigation and driver said that she called me ( no phone record or message) and waited for 10 minutes. Uber claimed driver followed their policy. What company policy allows food to be left on ground with no photo to prove successful delivery? Uber Eats is UNRELIABLE and drivers are unprofessional.

They didn’t resolve my issue. I needed food for my medicine and they hired a lazy, wicked person who didn’t want to look for the items. Got charged $30 for a few cans of mixed beans, bread and cheese.

Please Uber eats please send out bi-lingual drivers. When a driver cannot communicate with you it's so frustrating. I'm not in Mexico I'm in America

When I got my order I saw the receipt was a little over $12 and I gave a $4 tip why was my order over $20. It shouldn't be more then a little more then $16 what happened to my other $4. If you are going to have hidden fees like that then I will never use your business again.

I would give you zero if the option was available. Everyone should know about your bad practices. This happened more than once. We placed an order and 1 item was not available. Grocery is $180. What did they do? Charged the card again for the whole order without the missing item. Now we won't get a refund for 5 to 7 business days. Basically we paid twice our grocery bills. Their answer? Tough luck. We're taking this to BBB and the media. Contact me if you want to join.

My first order never showed, the app said to reorder. I did, and ended up now with 2 separate charges for the same order. Customer service after waiting an hour says too bad. It's separate orders so they can't do anything. I will be canceling my Uber eats account. Very disappointed with such lousy customer service

As a driver the orders are written for pickup and delivery. Often the customer's pick up notes are put in the delivery section. The delivery section is not seen until after the food has been picked up. Both pick up and delivery are timed with 1 to 2 minutes extra most of the time. Sometimes the delivery is shortened by as much as 8 minutes less than what's needed which negatively impacts your "on time metric." Once the "pick up" time stops or order it's picked up, the "delivery" time starts. Too often the customer notes for pickup are in the delivery note section and pick up at restaurant instructions are not seen until you get to the customer's house. Which negatively affects your customer satisfaction metric. In app messages and next order cancellations overlays the GPS causing the driver to be distracted. I have had pop up cancellation and New Order offers , both over laying GPS directions simultaneously causing me to take my eyes off the road for several seconds and unintentionally acceptanced new orders on a regular basis. When you cancel an order it's negatively impacts the drivers cancellation metric. This also includes restaurants taking more than 20 minutes to an hour to prepare food and repeat orders are given to several drivers, that was already picked up by another driver. Customer support cancels the orders citing the driver, instead of the restaurant or system processing. Too often the driver is made accountable for situations they have no control over. Restaurant giving the food to non Uber drivers, other food pickups sit in the car while next pick up restaurant takes 30 minutes, and packaging and bagging of the order. Customer support states they have no option to correct only refer to other departments. Ultimately the driver completion metric is penalized for the errors and Uber does not pay for the wasted driver's time, the wear and tear, mileage quickly adds up on your tires & maintenance and the gas the driver pays for. Uber pay nor the tips will cover it. Even if you drove all day, you're increasing your mileage wear and tear and gas. One delivery often takes 45 minutes or is over 20 miles. Some orders are two delivery tickets and Uber's paying and it's under 10 dollars. When you decline it goes against your acceptance metric.

Paid $45 for $20 worth of food. Not including tip... I always tip well . Restaurant is 10 minutes from my house. Estimated delivery time was 15 minutes. Got cold food 45 minutes later because of "other stops". Don't lie to me. If you're going to deliver cold food just tell me. I'll tell you nvm .

Not the first bad experience I’ve had. I used UberEats in the past and I thought that they would have gotten better, but no. I noticed whenever you order a buy one get one free offer or spend a certain amount to get a free offer…They actually end up adding extra charges to your order to compensate for that free item, so you really are not getting anything free it’s just a big rip off.

I ordered food through Uber eats and cancelled my order. Not only did they charge me for my order but they charged me twice. They took almost $200 out of my account. When I contacted customer service they said the restaurant already prepped my food so they had to charge me. I spoke to the restaurant and there is no proof that they prepped my food. No seemed to know what I was talking about. I have never had this experience with any other delivery app until now. Now they are refusing to give me even the second charge back. They really know how to rip off people. I will never use this app again. It it not a convenience, it is a scam. App deleted. Thanks for nothing.
