“on't allow me to take my money out. I have been selling vintage clothing and jewellery in vinted for quite some time, and up until now, have not had any serious issues. I have approximately £170 sitting in my vinted account from a couple of recent sales. But now vinted are refusing to release my money to me until I verify my identity. They say this is a general security measure they do from time to time, although I have never had any problems until now. The issue is, they only accept driving licence or passport. That's it. No other form of identification is accepted. Now I, just like many people, don't drive, and don't travel. So where does that leave me? Trying to contact them is a nightmare, as there is no e mail, Tel number. Nothing. Only their customer service messaging service, which is a hit or a miss if they actually reply to you. If on the rare occasion you do get a reply, it is along the lines of, "Tough. That's all we accept, so you can't get your money." This is money I earned through selling on their website, and they are holding my own money, and refusing to come to any solution with me. Surely not everybody in this world drives or has a passport?! Surely they must understand that, and agree to accept other forms of identification. I have offered my birth certificate, utility bills, bank statements, wage slips. But they won't budge. Surely this is illegal. Anybody got any advice?”

“WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Seller defrauded me and Vinted did nothing. I had proof that I was right and they shut me down. Awful experience. Do not trust them. They do not protect their buyers.”

“Was a victim of a scam worth over £300 and they did nothing to protect or reimburse me at all . As my situation didn’t follow their guidelines but I was scammed ( therefor wouldn’t have met their stupid guidelines ) felt robbed, emotional and very angry.”

“This company will not respect their users, their actions are malicious and will never take responsibility if it means them losing money. This is a shameful company and people should stay away from it as they take advantage of users while robbing them to their faces. Their customer service assured me I would be fully reimbursed, made me wait 3 months to later give me half of the promised amount. No reconsideration, no revision, no nothing. Their final decision came with my ticket being closed and that was it.”

“I do NOT recommend this web platform as the money you save to buy a few things or sell, is paid times more if you get cheated, which will happen soon or after, because vented does NOT protect you from FRAUD. In my case I was cheated by a seller, I never got the item I paid 110 euro for, vinted completed my order automatically without my confirmation that I got the item, so they transferred the amount I paid to the seller, but I did not get the item at all. Vinted support refused a refund because I have ONLY 2 days to claim. Imagine I have purchased a few items, and I had a busy chat, I cannot follow the timing for several deals, and vinted NEVER warned me that I have 2 days to confirm I have not received after 1 month waiting. I could NOT possibly know that after a month the deal is closed, the status is completed automatically and I have 48 hours to claim my money. Do not use vinted since this is a platform that supports the cheaters, not the scammed customers who lose their money. Rather use amazon or Paypal who always protect you and you can claim/ return or complain in a much longer time.”

“My first experience with vinted was when somebody stole £600 from my bank account from there so my advice do not save your card details on any apps I ave never even use vinted in my life.”

“I have done very well selling clothes that my family no longer want . I have bought a couple of items that weren't as described . But I guess that's a risk you take using this site. Out of all the items I've sold I have had no issues with posting. One item I bought got lost and I was eventually refunded. Overall I have enjoyed using vinted. The money I earned has help pay for my daughters carpets . I got this money paid into my bank account the day after I requested it.”

“STAY AWAY FROM VINTED Vinted asked me to return a fake bag to the scammer and pay the shipping cost myself despite the fact that shipping counterfeit goods is forbidden and that obviously it penalizes the victim instead of the scammer. Vinted completely wash their hands with the illegal activity on their website, the buyer protection fee is just a fee for nothing.”

“Vinted seller for 7 months money lost £120 This site is the biggest scam going. At some point if you are a seller and have funds waiting to be transferred to you - YOU WILL NOT GET THE MONEY YOU HAVE EARNED. Vinted will give you the run around for a while asking for bank statements, telling you to contact the bank etc but they will keep your money and there is nothing you can do about it. They also have people working in the forums pretending that they are customer or sellers saying they have been paid in order to give you hope but its all a lie. Vinted are trying to recoup the money they were fined for selling from sellers. There are hundreds of sellers who have not been paid their money many of them get blocked from the site for complaining or just give up and close their accounts. Vinted should not even be allowed to advertise they are a bunch of scammers.”

“Awful bought an item which arrived smashed I clicked the report an issue button and got an automated response saying we will contact you within 48 hours didnt hear from them for 3 days only to be told I cant do anything as it's outside the 48 hours cut off!!!! They just dont give A damn”

“This app is NOT seller friendly. They had had more excuses for removing my listings that are based on bogus reasons. Claiming that I was reselling items that I PERSONALLY made! Stating I'm listing as a commercial business because most of my items are handmade by myself as a HOBBY. Then accusing me of using stolen images of my own personal property. Images of things I personally made and took the photos of.”

“Bought skirt and comes out fake but if you click ok or 2 days gone you canot do nothing. They don’t do nothing to verify fakes either ! They just want you yourself talk seller who cut tags and know exactly selling china shit! Not recommend fake heaven and scammers . Not existing costumer care . Plus scammer who took your money can put you negative .it’s a joke costumer care.”

“Scammers!!! Bought trainers and receive an empty envelope! Customer services absolutely don't care and don't help I lost 70£ and paid buyer protection fees!!! What for Vinted take that fee if you can't protect buyers? Absolutely disgusting never felt that stupid.”

“Awful. Spent over £40 on orders that I never received. Vinted refuse to help because I missed their tight 48 hour deadline after the orders were marked "delivered" to raise an issue. Hardly fair considering that I did not receive a notification saying the order was delivered and even if I had, I was in hospital so wouldn't have been able to do anything about it in that time anyway.”

“Very poor customer service. I ordered an I pad while on holiday it was delivered while I was away. It didn’t work and the conman that sold it to wont give a refund. Because I didn’t report it within two days vinted wont help .AVOID 😡”
