2 out of 3 bits of wood were delivered damaged. Wickes wanted me to wait in 7am to 7pm for collection at my cost (lost wages). When I asked for a partial refund of £30 to save loss, i was told it would have to be approved by a manager. After a long wait, i was then offered £20. I thought this was harsh as the damaged value to me was £40. The attitude was careless from Wickes. I usually order from Wickes out of default, but now I will avoid going back. One customer lost

Bought & paid for a new bathroom in January. 3 months later & nobody has been to see us. 1 fitter did contact us, but failed to show up twice. I've had emails back from the design consultant last week ensuring us we'd be contacted & still nothing. I'm heading down to the Sheffield branch by the weekend to get a full refund. Appalling service.

Ordered a new bathroom and paid for it 5 weeks ago since then I've heard absolutely nothing from them they ignore my emails can't give me a date when anything is going to happen they just told me the fitter will be in touch so in 5 weeks they can't even make a phone call or tell me anything they just take your money and then they are not bothered avoid Wickes

Absolutely appalling that we have been waiting for two years to resolve issues with our kitchen. Worst mistake we ever made was walking through the doors. We have been lied to, mislead not to mention massively inconvenienced. We are actually in a worse position two years on than when the kitchen was fitted. Avoid at all costs, I would leave zero stars if permitted!

Looklike Hanworth Wickes Store manager think he own the Store hence has no willingness to serve customer with some common sense. I wanted to exchange two unused items which is one week over the 30 day policy but was told nothing can be done. Later I call two other Wickes branches in the area and was told that they can give me gift card but it's click and collect order so I have to get back to Hanworth Store. So it's very clear that all the stores are under one umbrella but Wickes Store in Hanworth has really bad management. Google reviews about this store is also bad so definitely will not go to Wickes again. NOTE: Wickes customer service (main contact number) also confirmed that company return policy is for 30 days but Store manager has authority to make changes. That's why other stores were willing to help but this Hanworth branch rude person was not.

Hi, . I'm a carpenter /trades . Have been buyng from Wickes , since the early 70's . Yep , getting on. They Have always been efficient, reliable. Now there are so many building suppliers , Including local companies , such as SELCO. Condell, . Screwfix , and best of all Toolstation. Weeks ago , I orderd a £300 delivery . Including in that delivery (special offer), 3 bags of Mapei porcelain cement (excellent stuff). One bag missing, no drama . Contact customer services. Bizzare reply . Please take an image of missing item .. ??. Of course, I replied , , after that, so, so, many questions . Then Wickes ignored me. That is he worst part, Ignoring your replies, and No, not rude replies. After that a bloke from Wickes called Dylan. " We are so sorry, to hear your complaint". Ive sent you a private message . Of course, it's a fob off . Their is No private message.

Absolute shower this lot. Fob you off with excuse after excuse. Sub-contract everything out.....which they only tell you after they've taken your money. No customer service. Had old kitchen left outside my house for 4/5 weeks until i threatened to dump it outside the showroom front door. AVOID

Trustpilot removed my genuine review despite supplying order number so I'm posting here and will try to post again later with them. I ordered 4 items and only ONE has arrived. this is unacceptable and I have no clue what is going on with them.

It would take too long to go into it in detail. They have no customer service or after sales service. The designer we had doesn't know how to design and makes out you're lying. The CEO office us frightened to get involved and I don't think the ceo exists! It's taken a year to get any remedial work completed and we're still in dispute over things!

Still ongoing issues with a delivery. Ordered 3 splashbacks more than 3 weeks ago, the 2 smaller ones were delivered, no explanation about the missing one. I have been calling and emailing, I now have to wait another 72 hrs to just get a reply from the supplier. All work is on hold, no help from Wickes whatsoever. Awful customer service, I can NOT recommend this company.

Don't expect service from Customer Service! You spend hours waiting for your call to be answered. When you do get through, you're promised a resolution. The resolution never materialises. And repeat Office units are expensive, key components (like drawer runners) are missing. The Design Consultants are poor, and their printed plan of how your new installation will look is laughable. Generally speaking, Wickes make MFI look good !! I would avoid at all costs

A Nightmare as soon as the new kitchen project started, missing fittings and parts, no installation kit so i had to pay out for independent fitters to work blindly and do the best they can with no instructions. I did ring up customer services the same week as the delivery as shelving weren’t delivered. I rang customer services today as I’ve come to fit them after a fairly awful 2022 and was just passed on to different departments to get rid of me. Wickes charged me £409 for a shelving unit that was just in 3 shelves, only 2 arrived with 1 damaged and both the incorrect length. Can’t be cut down because of the coating and won’t refund or replace as it was after 30 days. £6000 for a kitchen and they can’t even sort out a shelf with aftercare. I really wish I hadn’t trusted Wickes, i feel so let down. I need a new bathroom this year, i sure won’t be going to Wickes for it or anymore of my DIY projects, I will take my money elsewhere.

Ordered kiln dried C16 stud timber It was unloaded under my carport with the rest of order to keep it dry. I didn't look at the timber on delivery. The next day went to use it, I don't think the King's Lynn branch know what kiln dry means it had obviously been staked out side as it was saturated. Had to use it as the carpenter was booke hope it dries out ok have to wat before it's cladded. This is the first problem with Wick's alway delivered OK before

We had a bathroom fitted with wickes in July 2021. Ever since we’ve had non stop issues with the toilet blocking. We had an independent plumber come out a few times to unblock it however in November we called them back out again however this time it did not work and instead the pressure of plunger burst the pipe causing water to pour through ceiling into our brand new kitchen (fitted in 2022).
The plumber put his camera down into the pipe to view the problem and find out why it wouldn’t unblock. The problem was waste had built up at the end of the pipe over the year as the waste pipe had zero gradient so waste did not run down the pipe after flushing. He could tell us this was the problem within two minutes of looking at the pipe.

We’ve contacted wickes to resolve the issue the same day on 4th November 2022. We were told they’d contact the installation customer care team and get back to us. We got a one sentence forwarded reply. ‘Nothing we can do’.

After chasing this for a while to understand how they could make this decision without actually speaking to us directly, we got a forwarded reply stating as they did not fit the waste pipe it was not their problem.

Three reasons why this is very much wickes problem:

1. We never had an issue with the pipe prior to our new bathroom being installed. Our new toilet sits lower than our previous one therefore this change in pipe gradient even if small should have been known to ‘expert’ installers (especially given a plumber noticed it in 2 mins and the installers were here for 2 weeks)

2. Wickes states on their website ‘wickes approved installers are on hand to ensure all the technical aspects of your project are fully considered and discussed’ ALL and FULLY. This INCLUDES the waste pipe which no they did not install but yes they make changes to and connected one of their products to as part of installation. They state themselves they have the expertise which should allow them point out if by fitting the toilet it would cause issues later due to lack of gradient in pipe. No reasonable consumer would know this to point it out to an installer. If we did we’d all be installing bathrooms ourselves.

3. The Consumer Rights Act applies to services, including bathroom installation. It says a trader must perform the service with reasonable care and skill. With bathroom installation consumers rely on traders (e.g. wickes) and their installers skill and expertise to advise that the installation will work as expected. Fitting a product you supplied knowing full well it won’t function as expected long term because you’ve failed to provide crucial advice about the fitting is mis-selling plain and simple, whether the problem is with the product you supplied or what you connected it to.

We rang customer services in December to challenge the lack of satisfactory response. They asked us to email them videos the plumber had taken from inside the pipe and they’d look into and get back to us (we spoke to Dalton). 1 month later no response.

After month of waiting we rang to make a complaint and said the words ‘I would like to make a complaint’. No complaint logged. Promised a response by the Friday 20th January, no response.

Good news is 3 months has passed on Monday and I get to contact the ombudsmen instead, hopefully they actually care about people, because wickes don’t.

Really Poor Service Wickes provide - unfortunately we are doing our Kitchen & Bathroom from them and receiving very poor service from them. This whole week nobody did any work because plumber was not available. Gas hob is not working from 2 weeks as today gas engineer was not able to fix it because of missing as delivery parts.
