AFTER AROUND 10 YEARS ON ALIEXPRESS – NO MORE After many years of shopping on AliExpress I no longer trust them. AliExpress now have dreadful and unethical customer service. In the past I was a fan of AliExpress having purchased probably tens of thousands of pounds worth of items over the years I have been purchasing items on there. AliExpress used to be a safe place to shop and if you received an item that was sub standard it was a simple thing to raise a return and provide a suitable description and back it up with photos. Unfortunately, more recently, I have received several items items that were definitely and clearly not as described in the written description or photographs. Unfortunately, things have recently radically changed because descriptions and photos are now no longer enough to return a misrepresented item from a scam seller. These days, AliExpress will often bounce back a request for a return by asking for a video of you opening the package when it arrived which is absolutely ludicrous. If you failed to video yourself opening a package, then tough, you can't return the dodgy item – you have bought it and you are stuck with it. Another typical response is that even then, they often come back with a response with something like it's a special or seasonal item or they still cannot determine what you mean from the info you have provided, so your return request is rejected. Basically, THEY WILL RUN YOU RAGGED UNTIL YOU GIVE UP. One of their other tactics is that if you have not responded to requests for more information within 24 hours, they will reject and close your claim. This is what they will write: “Waiting for your response After review, your submitted material doesn't quite meet the necessary requirements. We suggest that you resubmit within 24 hours based on the suggestions, or it could affect the outcome of your dispute.” The sneaky thing is that this message only exists on AliExpress – THEY DON'T ALERT YOU TO THIS REQUEST BY EMAIL. Therefore, if you fail to see the message (that's what they want), they just close your return after 24 hours and you are stuck with a dodgy or defective item. It's all very sneaky unethical behaviour. They are on the side of the scammer – not you, the buyer. No matter how many hoops you jump through for them – you are completely wasting your time – you have been had by a scam seller and AliExpress have no interest in helping you. Even if you do try and respond to their ongoing requests, another big obstacle they place on iPhone users is that AliExpress will not allow you to upload an iPhone video, so you then have to somehow get them converted into another format that AliExpress will allow. If you receive a bad item – hard luck – “Customer Service” will waste your time with more and more requests until you give up. Ten years ago AliExpress was OK. Today it's become a hit and miss risk to buy anything on there. If you have never shopped on AliExpress then DON'T BOTHER – it's a gamble that the goods will be as they were described in the listing and if the goods are not as described then tough – YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. ONCE ALIEXPRESS WAS OK – NOW THEY ARE VERY VERY BAD.

The "First-Time Buyer Warning" Review ​"As a first-time customer, my experience with AliExpress has been incredibly misleading. I bought an item for less than £4 that was explicitly labeled with 'Free Returns.' However, when I tried to return it, I was told I would have to pay the postage myself. ​The return shipping actually costs more than the item is worth. To make matters worse, I was told a refund wasn't even guaranteed—they would 'decide' whether to accept it only after they received it. When I reached out to customer service to highlight how ridiculous this was, I was met with scripted, repetitive answers. Even my request to log a formal complaint was completely ignored. ​If you’re a new buyer, be warned: 'Free Returns' is often a myth and the support is dreadful. I won’t be using them again."

yodel have lost the parcel have written to me via email and have written to aliexpress they are refusing a refund spend hours on chat and filling in form and sending pictures there customer service is awful have now started claim with my credit card conpany warning people it’s horrible experience order number 3068061145833673 just don’t do it

They claim that they attempted for delivery wich is not true I was home all day and was waiting for it and I have 3 cameras monitoring front door, 3 hours later received message that they returned the item to the original destination , also they had my number they could call , I believe they are just scammer

I would not even give AliExpress 1 Star but have to in order to leave a review. A month back I ordered an expensive drone which had a built-in screen on the transmitter. When I received the order, BOTH the transmitter and drone were just empty shells e.g. nothing inside the transmitter, buttons all stuck down by glue! The drone was a similar case with an empty plastic shell where the battery should be! When I reached out to AE Customer Service, I opened a case and uploaded lots of pics and a video. A few days later, they replied that the case had been closed as I didn’t supply enough info! I therefore reopened the case and uploaded a longer and more detailed video, explaining all that was wrong with the item. Again, a few days later, they said again that I hadn’t supplied enough evidence and closed the case! I therefore reached out to PayPal, through whom I’d made my payment. They came back to me a few days later, saying they’d managed to get AE to give me a refund so long as I returned the item to Germany! So now they wanted me to pay international P&P, which was going to cost me about £15! I then reached out to AE to request a UK address and they refused to give me one! So I called PayPal again, and they just issued me a full refund! Moral of the story, AE are just a bunch of con artists. I’ve now deleted my account and will never use them again!!!!!

Product not received. Package was broken/tampered with so i suspect item was lost or stolen by iMile or one of its representatives. Aliexpress will not issue a refund. Have deleted the app and my account. Will be getting a refund through the credit card company.

I’m done. In the last few months, I’ve constantly received defective products that don't match the descriptions. I’m even getting short-changed on quantities (e.g., ordering 3 items and receiving 2). Worst of all, AliExpress Customer Service now rejects every dispute, refusing refunds or exchanges despite clear proof. I’ve lost all trust in this platform. Deleting the app and switching to Temu.

I had to pay 50 euros more for my first order because the seller filled out the customs paperwork incorrectly, resulting in a higher duty. The second order, a month later, wasn't even shipped. The seller isn't responding, wasting time, and now my money is frozen.

I purchased a dancing Xmas tree as I already had the dancing Elk. The seller told me it stood just as high as the Elk, 30cm high and so did the advertisement. I took a snapshot of the conversation & the shop number for proof incase of need to return. My dancing Tree arrived and it was half the size of the Elk, clearly not what I was told. The seller denied having any records of our conversation and denied me a refund. AliExpress also denied me a refund based on the fact i didn’t have enough evidence, this is after I sent them a photo of the Elk and Xmas Tree standing together and a snapshot of our conversation and they denied me on those two things that clearly showed i was in the right. Dishonest company, seller and advertising. Disappointing to say the least. I deleted our account and rid if the App, never again. Temu are great, bought a bit from them with no Drama's.

My first order was a very negative experience. I needed to return because they didn’t send me an important product. I get a refund for 3 items but not the 4th, an expensive one. They denied the return shipping and every proof. This what happened: • Returned an item new and in original packaging, following AliExpress return instructions exactly. • Provided official postal receipt and valid tracking number showing the item was delivered. • Uploaded screenshots from the Post office app proving delivery. • Despite clear proof, the refund was refused without valid justification. • Asked for a packing video, which was never required or mentioned during the return process. • AliExpress assumed the item was different with no evidence. • Returned 4 items in the same shipment — all refunded except one, which makes no sense. • Case was allegedly escalated to a “senior team”, but no one ever contacted me. • Multiple case numbers created, zero resolution each time. • Impossible to speak to a real person or get a direct email. • Customer service gives automated, copy-paste replies. • Process feels intentionally obstructive to avoid issuing refunds. • Extremely frustrating, time-consuming, and unprofessional experience. • Not trustworthy when problems arise — buy at your own risk. This is against the law, I gave my case to a lawyer.

Write a complaint about AliExpress for the following: I ordered items on the 28th of September 2025, now it's 4 of Jan 2026 and I didn't receive anything yet. The tracking stopped being updated on the 8th of October 2025. The last update was that they tried to deliver multiple times and the delivery failed because "customer isn't replying". My address is correct, nobody came to deliver, I opened disputes with Alibaba customer service over 10 times, and all of my requests were declined, I was asked to provide a proof from the logistics company that I didn't receive the items?! The logistics company looks fraud, they have an unsafe website with a single page without address or email and the found phone number isn't working. The case is still pending!!! The screenshot for the suspended tracking is attached.
