"Horrible customer service. I ordered some brass 0.4mm plate for watch dial production and it arrived all bent, dented and scratched in a bag... Usually this would be braced with some cardboard at least.\r\n\r\nCustomer service rep said \"yep, that's pretty bad\" then I received an email to say refund denied despite it being labeled as \"AliExpress safe for free returns\/refunds if damaged 100%\"\r\n\r\nSo the company lies, just outright... I will never trust this company again and will actively be sure to inform others."

"AFTER AROUND 10 YEARS ON ALIEXPRESS \u2013 NO MORE\r\n\r\nAfter many years of shopping on AliExpress I no longer trust them.\r\n\r\nAliExpress now have dreadful and unethical customer service.\r\n\r\nIn the past I was a fan of AliExpress having purchased probably tens of thousands of pounds worth of items over the years I have been purchasing items on there.\r\n\r\nAliExpress used to be a safe place to shop and if you received an item that was sub standard it was a simple thing to raise a return and provide a suitable description and back it up with photos.\r\n\r\nUnfortunately, more recently, I have received several items items that were definitely and clearly not as described in the written description or photographs.\r\n\r\nUnfortunately, things have recently radically changed because descriptions and photos are now no longer enough to return a misrepresented item from a scam seller.\r\n\r\nThese days, AliExpress will often bounce back a request for a return by asking for a video of you opening the package when it arrived which is absolutely ludicrous. \r\n\r\nIf you failed to video yourself opening a package, then tough, you can't return the dodgy item \u2013 you have bought it and you are stuck with it.\r\n\r\nAnother typical response is that even then, they often come back with a response with something like it's a special or seasonal item or they still cannot determine what you mean from the info you have provided, so your return request is rejected.\r\n\r\nBasically, THEY WILL RUN YOU RAGGED UNTIL YOU GIVE UP.\r\n\r\nOne of their other tactics is that if you have not responded to requests for more information within 24 hours, they will reject and close your claim. \r\n\r\nThis is what they will write:\r\n\u201cWaiting for your response\r\nAfter review, your submitted material doesn't quite meet the necessary requirements. We suggest that you resubmit within 24 hours based on the suggestions, or it could affect the outcome of your dispute.\u201d\r\n\r\nThe sneaky thing is that this message only exists on AliExpress \u2013 THEY DON'T ALERT YOU TO THIS REQUEST BY EMAIL.\r\n\r\nTherefore, if you fail to see the message (that's what they want), they just close your return after 24 hours and you are stuck with a dodgy or defective item.\r\n\r\nIt's all very sneaky unethical behaviour. They are on the side of the scammer \u2013 not you, the buyer.\r\n\r\nNo matter how many hoops you jump through for them \u2013 you are completely wasting your time \u2013 you have been had by a scam seller and AliExpress have no interest in helping you.\r\n\r\nEven if you do try and respond to their ongoing requests, another big obstacle they place on iPhone users is that AliExpress will not allow you to upload an iPhone video, so you then have to somehow get them converted into another format that AliExpress will allow.\r\n\r\nIf you receive a bad item \u2013 hard luck \u2013 \u201cCustomer Service\u201d will waste your time with more and more requests until you give up.\r\n\r\nTen years ago AliExpress was OK.\r\n\r\nToday it's become a hit and miss risk to buy anything on there.\r\n\r\nIf you have never shopped on AliExpress then DON'T BOTHER \u2013 it's a gamble that the goods will be as they were described in the listing and if the goods are not as described then tough \u2013 YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.\r\n\r\nONCE ALIEXPRESS WAS OK \u2013 NOW THEY ARE VERY VERY BAD."
