Six month ago I purchased a wardrobe from Argos, after building this wardrobe I noticed that the screws which had been sent out for the draw runners did not have the thread carved into them, so therefore I was unable to screw the draws on. Since then I have phoned up the customer service team multiple times and asked for the correct screws to be sent out. Argos have failed to have the competency to be able to do this. I asked to speak with the manager on a number of occasions and have been advised I would be called back and they have failed to phone me back. The customer service assistant advised me that their only escalation policy is to request a call back from a manager (which doesn't happen) or to email in (you don't get a response). I am absolutely disgusted with the service provided by argos and as a result am left with a wardrobe which is breaking as it has not been able to be built correctly.

Placed an order for click and collect. Email sent saying item was ready to collect. Went to store and staff informed me item has not arrived and extended collection date. Once again email sent saying your has arrived. Went back to store again and informed item has not arrived. Call customer services and no help what so ever. Still no date when item will arrive. Should have used amazon.

I ordered a fan, waited in for delivery and THEY DID NOT TURN UP. I talked on live chat and they said 'Error on their part' and will deliver next day. THEY DID NOT TURN UP AGAIN! contacted on live chat again and got told they had CANCELLED THE ORDER because it wasn't in stock the REFUND WILL TAKE 3 - 5 DAYS. So they have had my money for a week, wasted 6 hours of my time and I have no product!

I have just visited Argos High Wycombe Retail Park to pick up a fast track order. Purchase confirmed by email. When I arrived at the store -some distance from my home town- I was told the order had been cancelled by the 'system' and that I would have to cancel, repay and wait up to 5 days for a refund. I don't understand how the 'system' can confirm an order, withdraw funds immediately but take 5 days to refund customers? Staff were both clueless and unhelpful. When I told the manager I would complain the response was along the lines of 'that's fine' or 'no problem. How do stores like this stay in business?

ordered Sony tv to be delivered on Saturday evening. when I paid for it I got a message that my bank would not authorize it, I then called customer service to see if my order had been processed they told me it hadn't, I then checked my bank account and found out that the payment was being processed the bank told me that they could not cancel the payment and I would have to contact Argos. I did this and they said they could arrange the delivery for the time I had specified, I thought great they took the details and then asked me to pay for it again, you can imagine my reply, but I did give them my solution to the problem I am going to Curry's tomorrow

Received completely broken fireplace , called to arrange for replacement and collection of broken item, received a new one and the broken one has been left in the middle of our flat for two weeks now,had to call and arrange collection service, they haven't showed up on scheduled day and we needed to call to remind, bare in mind we have no storage for large items. The women on the phone was rude and made it sound like we did something wrong even though they delivered completely broken item and didn't even bother to collect it, know I feel like we should just through it in the bin.

Anything I want to buy is ALWAYS Out Of Stock. When I bought an mp3 player, I tested how it works and I didnt like it in general, because it was just a cheap crap they didnt want to take it back, because It's been used... I asked member of staff 'Then how would I know if it works at all if I didn't check it??'. I got exactly the same answer 'I can't take it back, because It's been used', so I just walked out... Don't recommend Argos at all!

Ordered a door mirror to pick up in the store. It was broken when I came home. It is really a hassle for me to take it back to the store to replace it with another mirror. I requested to do a shipment as it wasn't my fault. But Argo's customer service representative said it is not possible. I also received a message saying replacement is waiting for me until the next day as if I have nothing better to do during my weekend. Really poor customer service will try to avoid shopping at Argos.

They take your money and don't send your order when they arranged it and pass you from department to department only to be told they have cancelled it and you have to wait 7 days for your money back . Disappointed is a understatement and I won't be shopping with them again !!!!

We placed an order online on 25th April for a garden swing .We were advised that due to demand it was out of stock , but would be delivered on 13th May . On the 9th May we had a phone call to say they could not guarantee delivery within the next 6 weeks , and we asked for a refund. We were advised it should take 3 to 5 working days to get our money back. On 17th May my wife phoned to see why we had not received a refund and was told it would take another 3 to 5 days "and there is nothing we can do to speed it up". Appalling service from a company we have used for many years. Will NEVER use Argos again.

Terrible, terrible customer and delivery service. We ordered a new fridge to be delivered at home. On delivery date no one arrived and when we called customer services said they moved our delivery date - without contacting us! We were still receiving confirmation delivery messages on mobile. A week later (today) they arrived. We also payed for our old fridge to be moved away and customer services confirmed drivers could remove our old fridge door. Drivers arrive and refuse to remove our old fridge as they say they cannot remove the fridge door saying this should have gone to special delivery services! When we confronted them on this, said we payed for this service and were assured all is OK - TWICE, and asked if they would accept this kind of customer service if it happened to them, they marked the entire delivery as failed, took away the new fridge they came to deliver and left. Terrible service, it is very sad for companies to treat their customers like that.

Dishwasher broken 1 week after 1 year guarantee ended. Customer services want independent report before will discuss repair or replacement. Thr electronic display tells me what is wrong

Failed to process my order and then wants me to wait 7 days for a refund and to add insult to injury they want me to place and pay for the second time to get my order. all round by experience.

I placed an order for home delivery . My order was not delivered and no text/email to me about failed delivery. Contacted customer services , order delivery rescheduled. Did not arrive , contacted customer services again , they offered to reschedule yet AGAIN without any explanation.

Refusing to honour a sale, yet still took the money, now have to wait for a phone call ( up to 72 hours) before they will authorise a cheque, which i then have to wait to come through the post and clear through the bank before i can replace my cooker, all because i paid with gift cards which they put in the bin after sale. not happy at all

Never again! second time while paying, I received message saying there was some issue with payment then I thought this is my billing adress because recently I changed adress in my bank, I tried 2 more times and information was same - issue with payment. But they took 3 times money from my account!!!!!! , I called argos they said transaction were not accepted because different delivery adress from billing adress!!! how stupid is that!!!!!! now I have to wait 7 working days for receive money back into my account!!!!!!, how fckn great weekend ahead with empty account!!!!! never again argos!!!!! you are the robbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a Hitachi television from Argos Cardiff Bay. My son and I handled it with kid gloves - but when we eventually set it up there was an internal crack on the screen. We returned it today - the manager refused to refund, claiming we damaged it ourselves. We know we didn't - but obviously we are liars. Called customer service as he advised. They told me they could not over-rule the shop manager so that was w waste of time. Terrible service, nasty staff. Will never shop there again. I advise anyone to buy TVs from reputable companies
