A few weeks back I received an integrated dishwasher from Argos. The Bush DWINT125SS Full Size Dishwasher - Stainless Steel. 542/9246 However, I was not expecting an integrated dishwasher. The product page nowhere states that it is an integrated dishwasher. And the product picture shows the door fully down, so there would be no clues there either. So I spent the last hour on telephone support getting thrown around from one department to the next. I was asked twice for my order number (which was not provided on my eReceipt), my postcode (which they could not locate), and finally the card I used for the transaction. The first customer service rep, tried to lay the blame on me by saying that if I scrolled down to the bottom of the product page I'd see that the dishwasher I wanted says "Designed to be built in." I am honestly annoyed that this was put back on me as my own fault. All of the Bush dishwashers, except the slimline ones, say "designed to be built in", so are they all integrated and it's up to the customer to figure it out or do the customer service reps not know what they're talking about? Of course not. The Integrated ones clearly say "integrated" on the prodict title. The normal ones do not. The second customer service rep, gave me a fake customer complaints email address. customercomplaints(@)argos.co.uk does not exist... There is nowhere on the product page that describes the machine I bought as integrated. There is major confusion here. That Bush model needs "integrated" put into its title. You also need to inform your staff that "designed to be built in" is not the same as "integrated", and that a simple apology is due, instead of laying blame on the customer, when the customer is not at fault. I called them to come and collect it. We had to wait 6 days before a day was available. The delivery man called us only once on the morning of the pick up, but my wife was busy with kids and chores, and missed the call. She called back when she saw the missed call but he said it was too late. We'd have to rearrange a pick up. We have now been stuck with an unwanted machine in the middle of our small kitchen for more than a week. We decided to go and order another machine (The Bush DWFSG146W Full Size Dishwasher - White (532/6710)) in the meantime to save time, as we are quite anxious to get one as we have small kids in the house and we are both very busy with them and with work. Big mistake. This is the now the second dishwasher in a row that I have bought from Argos that is faulty. It's almost unbelievable! The first one is now sitting in my shed, uncollected. The second one is sitting in my kitchen, installed, but with a door jammed. I've actually damaged it trying to open it. The first one was incorrectly labelled on the website. This one is just plain faulty. Again, customer service was atrocious. One man actually cut me off mid sentence and transferred me. There simply is no channel to voice my complaints with Argos. No one wanted to listen to my very valid complaints. I don't blame them. They probably have horrible floor managers breathing down their necks to keep up the pace and get through the calls ASAP. It seems they just wanted to tick off the boxes on their list and get me moved somewhere else. I got moved around (again) to the same departments twice, before it was finally decided what was going to be done. They suggested I get the machine returned, but the next available pick up date in 3 weeks away! Can you believe it? 3 weeks! So my only other option was to have a repair man come and look at it. The closest authorized repair man they have is 2 hours away, so I doubt he'll be out any time soon either. I'm just going to have a local handy man come and look at it. It looks like it can be fixed, it's just the hassle and bother I've had to go through, with zero sympathy from a company that is only interested in my wallet. Update: A local handyman was out in 10 minutes and quickly identified the problem with the second machine. The base of the door is too wide on one side. It seems the screw hole was drilled just a little to wide and now the door gets jammed when trying to open it. This machine should never have passed quality control. Shame on Bush and shame on Argos. I now have a damaged machine (that at least can wash dishes and has a proper door) that I paid good money for. But I'm honestly to tired and fed up to have it replaced. I will definitely be spending my money elsewhere in the future. At least for white goods. I need to be able to see the machine I am buying. And while buying local costs more, I will be assured a better buying experience, friendly staff, and quick replacement and return should the need arise. Well worth the extra money. I thought I would be saving with Argos, but the money I saved was not the worth the weeks and weeks of frustration and headaches.

ARGOS SENT ME A £5 VOUCHER TO REDEEM ONLINE, BUT UNFORTUNATELY IT WOULD NOT ACCEPT IT. WHEN I PHONED CUSTOMER SERVICES THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE ONLINE VOUCHERS BUT IT WOULD BE ALRIGHT TO TAKE THE CODE IN STORE AND IT WOULD BE DEDUCTED FROM MY BILL AT THE CHECKOUT (WRONG) . I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE FULL PRICE AND THEY REFUSED TO ACCEPT THE VOUCHER AFTER BEING TOLD BY CUSTOMER SERVICES IN WOULD BE OK. I TOLD THE STAFF I HAD SPENT TIME AND MONEY GETTING TO THE STORE AND COULD THE STAFF WENT TO TALK TO THE MANAGER (WELL THAT WAS A WASTE OF TIME) THE MANAGER DID'NT EVEN SHOW A FACE, AND WAS TOLD A DEFINITE NO. ARGOS CUPAR YOU ARE A WASTE OF TIME.

I made a mistake when ordering 3 mattresses and one was the wrong size. I was told by customer services to take it back and swap it, I explained it was unpacked. They reserved the bigger one for me. the manager then refused to take the wrong one back and said they were 'always' having trouble with customer services giving the wrong advice. Store manager called customer services to get 'authorisation' to take the item back to be told there was no record. Beware of using the 'chat' facility as it is deleted when you log off, use the phone as they record the conversation (and so can you). Even explaining that there was little chance of seeing the item was the wrong size without unpacking didn't cut any ice and it was up to the store manager to use their discretion. They said my mistake wasn't their problem and they had a business to run, I say show me a business that does not experience customer mistakes; it is how you deal with them that keeps people coming back. They appear to be trying to go up market with the new 'Collection', pity the customer service doesn't match up. Don't buy from Argos, they will make YOU pay if you make a mistake, even if the item is unused and resellable.

Terrible experience. One false keystroke cost me 100 pounds. Dire customer “service”. They don´t allow cancelation of duplicated orders but won´t say this and prefer to waste customer time and energy on endless e-mails. They have defrauded 100 pounds from me and I will never order anything from them again. The company is on a moral par with petty criminals.

If I could give zero customer service I would. Bought a cross trainer it came with broken parts. Went to tell them. I took pictures. And I took the broken light parts (i couldn't take the broken heavy ones). They told me they won't help me unless I return the whole thing. I reached out to them on twitter, they wanted to give £10 voucher to keep it and it would take 7-14 today to arrive. Before that I bought a scale and it wasn't working. They sell a lot products that don't work so be aware !! And their customer service is horrible

On the 30th Nov I placed two fast track orders FT769408 & FT769410 the order was for Amazon Fire TV Stick 2 × 5 . As the order was FT it had to be paid immediately, which I did via PayPal I received the order confirmation by text that they were ready to collect . On arriving at the store I collected the first order FT769408 then I told them had another one to collect, on giving them the order number FT769410 the lady serving me said that one customer only allowed 5 hence she needs to check with her manager (who was at the end of the counter) he said I am sorry but it's 5 per customer . He said he would cancel the order on the system and that I would receive a refund in the next 3 to 5 working days ,I kept a look out on my accounts (paypal/bank) when till the 10 Dec I did not receive no refund I tried contacting argos customer service (there was chat available so I tried that first time the advisor said they would not be able to help me ) so I called the service line spoke to someone WHO THEN STARTED THE REFUND PROCESS ( I am surprised at this ,if I did not call there would have been no refund) Then a few days later I get a partial refund of £99/- in my PayPal account, I was surprised at this as I was not allowed to buy the second order then why is it that the whole refund is not getting processed £124.75/- I called the CS again and they told me it's partial as one was collected on this order (which I don't understand as if one customer is allowed 5 then why give me 6 and if you giving me 6 then why not the whole 10. The CSA was very kind she said I am sorry for the inconvenience will speak to finance get this sorted and will put in a voucher for goodwill gesture (this was last week) I checked my accounts this afternoon still nothing on calling the CS they told me they can't do anything as I need to speak to your paypal team ( who he transfered me to ) but they did not even pickup and the call was dropped. I even made a complaint on the phone to the complaints department to look into this (they said someone will call me back in 48 hours ,lol its been 10 days to that ) my complaint ref number is 15812773. I checked my argos account and tried to see manage my orders and I am surprised IT SAYS YOU HAVE COLLECTED ME ON BOTH ORDERS (how is that possible ,when everyone I speak with says themselves only 5 per customer and since the orders were collected in store that can be ensured. I am really disappointed with this purchase of mine with argos and (WILL SPREAD THE WORD) because of argos I have been out of pocket at this festive season ( I had bills to go out ,shopping to do but because of that money not being there was helpless ) I WOULD LIKE EVERYONE READING THIS TO BE AWARE OF THE DODGY DEALING ARGOS IS PLAYING (taking double money out nor refunding if you don't look out ) Better shop On EBAY (more reliable ,money back Gaurantee) Thanks

I saw a good deal on a new PS4 bundle through Argos. I ordered it along with a separate game (FIFA). I received confirmation that my "fast track" delivery, the console, would arrive Monday Jan 2nd and the game Wednesday 4th Jan. I went to the shop Tue 3rd and the game had arrived (a day early) but not the console (a day late). I waited a few days and was told 'it must still be on it's way'. I chased them again Saturday 7th but without reason they're going to refund me because my order must not be able to be delivered to that particular store. Why wasn't I told this when I ordered? Why couldn't I ask for a home delivery? I wasn't kept informed about my order. That's a bad service if you ask me. So, 9 days later and I'm being refunded. I called to see if I could resend to my address but the price has went up by £50! Ah well, I've still got FIFA - I'll whack it in my DVD player and see what happens, eh.

Poor experience at Argos - Bought a Hoover roughly 5 months ago.. It has broken completely.. But they refused to replace the Hoover even though I had my receipt (I was always aware of Argos's year gaurentee and this was one of the reasons for buying from them) they could see I'm heavily pregnant and was getting stressed about the issue as I wasn't aware of the "new policies" apparently they only return stuff now if it's faulty within 30 days!?... So I've just lost out on 70 quid because the Hoover broke within 5 months.. Thanks Argos!

Argos is a total waste of time. Several times including today I ordered items on line and fully paid for them with my bank card. When my husband tried to collect the items today he was told they had no record of my transaction. I have had to find a printer to let them have copies of the transaction and my details and this has taken up a lot of my busy day. I have no idea if I shall get these items or not but one thing is for sure this will be the last time I shall use Argos/ Also their Staff could benefit from training in Customer skills and manners. Never again that is me done with Argos

I will never use Argos again. I decided to switch from the mighty Amazon to Argos due to the bad press Amazon has had about the way it treats its staff and to hopefully stop them taking over the world. Unfortunately Argos delivery was the worst experience I have ever had from a delivery company. Ordered a Nintendo Wii for Christmas was promised delivery on December 12th without any consultation this was changed to December 15th. I had to catch a plane in the evening of the 15th but was promised delivery before 12, so waited for delivery. Delivery never happened. Received about 5 different excuses ranging from its not going to be delivered, it has been delivered, its not been delivered I saw it in the warehouse this morning so it can't be delivered today, Oh no it hasn't we will refund and give you £5 as compensation. I had to order another and collect form store. Wasted a day very nearly missed my flight. Now Argos are accusing us of lying and claim they have a signature accepting delivery, they won't show me this. They now refuse to refund the money and my credit card company is now having to dispute the payment. Please do yourself a favour never ever buy anything from Argos they are crap, incapable of having any idea about what happening to a delivery, rude .....

Ordered an item specifically because it stated I could collect from store the following morning. Went to store the following afternoon only to be told it hadn't arrived to store and I would have to wait up to a week for it! Not happy, only went to town to pick up my item, wasted trip.

So last night my mother had payed for a bike and a clock for my two nephews. She made sure the bike and clock where in stock before she had paid for them online and even paid for fast track! She went to the store today to collect and Argos had the cheek to say SHE CANCELLED THE ORDER! She had not cancelled the order. She had emails and a bank statement saying she had brought these two items. The Argos store had sold the bike she brought and put on the system she cancelled the order! But when she asked if she could still have the clock they said no! They refused to give her an item she had paid for, So after leaving the store very unhappy, she rang customer services , they told her the Argos store had sold the item and put on the system she cancelled it. My mum asked for a refund so she could buy from another store tomorrow and was told she couldn't until the end of next week! Thanks Argos, now my two young, nephews won't be getting something they asked Santa for!

Trying to call Argos is like using a dinner folk to empty the ocean. The worse phone service I have ever experienced since I could use a telephone. Disappointed vaguely express how I feel. All I wanted was just to find out if an item was out of stock in the closest store to me, could I reserve it in another store which is the second closest and then they send it to the store closest to me for pick up. For three days I called three different Argos stores and no one answered. I just wish I could get the item from somewhere else. I know losing one customer would not hurt you Argos but you just lost one anyway.
