Firstly may I start this review by stating how disappointed I am with the service I have so far received from Argos. I placed an order on Saturday 28th November 2015 for 2 x Amazon Fire Tablets, 2 x Cases and 1 x Ipad Mini 2 to be delivered on Monday the 30th November 2015. I waited at home all day Monday for my delivery and it didn't arrive. I phoned the customer services phone number T: 0345 640 2020 to be kept on hold for over 1 hour being told time after time that my call is going to answered shortly, with severe frustration I put the phone down. I phoned back this morning 1st December 2015 at 09:30 to be put on hold again for 55 minutes before putting the phone down. I tried calling again at 11:00 and again no answer apart from that stupid annoying message that my call is going to be answered shortly, hence I'm now trying to get answers by email. What a totally useless service the offer.... It is my Son's Birthday today and the Ipad was for him, can you imagine my embarrassment and my Son's disappointment in not receiving his promised Birthday gift today? I paid for delivery at a promised time, I have spent a stupid amount of time holding for someone to answer my telephone calls and have been left with total frustration in placing this order with Argos, I do not feel like a valued customer. Argos have over promised and under delivered with the service they have offered and I am left in "Limbo". Information and updates are the key to good customer service and overall customer satisfaction of which I am still trying to find from Argos. You have been warned!

Been on hold for over an hour and I am then cut off - truly exceptional customer service! If they are struggling to answer calls please let us know expected call wait times.

Think twice about hone delivery! Ordered clothes airers which were delivered at the times stated. Lovely delivery man. Found one if the items were damaged but delivery man said u needed to contact the company. U emailed them the same day with the order number but received a message saying they couldn't locate my order number from the email. Emailed order number again and 2 days on, still no response. Went to store but advised the need to contact by phone. Called and have been waiting nearly half an hour. Hung up and writing this review!

Everytime I visit Doncasters Wheatley Hall Road branch there are massive queues, and only one till running. I went today and walked out, it was ridiculous. I think they are cutting staff related costs to try and and be more reosonable on prices, but this doesnt give good customer experience. It used to be ok, but I will look to shop elsewhere before resorting to Argos in future. Also, the new system theyve introduced in other Stores, such as Rotherhams Parkgate is a backward step. There are no catologues, no lit up numbers to show when cashiers are free and no place to sit when waiting. One cashier deals with at least 2 customers at a time, and you find yourself cramped up. Whats going on Argos?

Blackpool town centre Argos had poor customer service and staff on the collection point were simply rude and condescending. I left feeling agrevated by my experience definitely not going to that store again. Training clearly needed.

I recently purchased a product from Argos and was promised next day delivery. Unfortunately i did not receive it the next day. I was forced to stay at home waiting for a parcel that was not coming. I only found out that Argos had not yet dispatched the parcel until i contacted Yodel. Argos should not make promises if they can not deliver. I rather have been told it will be delivered after 5 days and get it that day rather than waste my day waiting for a parcel. Very Disappointed with the service. On trying to contact the customer service of Argos i spent over 45minutes on HOLD and got fed up and just hung up. Surely no company can be that busy that a call can not be answered in 45minutes. Would not recommend shopping with Argos online, very poor service. Probably the worst service i have ever received.

Unutterably rubbish. Used fast track, told it was in store and it wasn't when went to collect. Everybody blamed by Argos, except themselves, told it was left off the delivery, not delivered, it was delivery company. The manager of the store said delivery dates were estimates, even when the wording shows it was a) in store and b) available to collect. Unreliable, unwilling to fix a problem, extraordinary lack of interest in a customer.

I have just bought an item from this store which is faulty. However thats not the main issue here. I hate my local Argos Bradford Forster square. Whenever you return something here they look at you as though you have done something wrong. Not happy that I have to take this faulty item back to them wish I had not bought it in the first place. I have had a couple of bad experiences and have avoided the store since. However, I had some vouchers which could be used at Argos and So I made the mistake of using them here. I will now be asking someone else to return this item for me. In general everyone I have spoke to about the Bradford Forster square store have had nothing positive to say. Management are very poorly trained and staff with headsets seem to be on power trips with customers and other members of staff. Some people have said customers are treated differently based on skin color. I have had too many bad experiences with this store. Staff generally have a bad attitude with customers. Argos you need to send in some mystery shoppers please dont take my word for it. Or have your staff shadow neighboring stores such as tk makks with exceptionally good customer service. The queues in this store are horrendous but something needs to be done about the customer service. if you dont intend to carry items out ANYMORE the place should have signs saying so. Also if you refuse to carry items out for one person its unfair if you do it for another. Furthermore, if a customer tries to make conversation its very rude to ignore them, leaves people feeling a bit awkward. Once more it should be a fair service for all customers and be consistent with rules. Otherwise its quite easy for people to take things personally and feel they are treated unfairly.

Placed an order with Argos on Friday 20/11/15 requesting ( and paying for a home delivery). The delivery was scheduled for Monday 23/11/15 between 10-00 am & 1-00 pm I stayed at home all day but the order never arrived. Thinking that the delivery van may be busy, I stayed at home all day on Tuesday 24/11/15 too, but still received no delivery. During that day I tried to contact Argos customer "on line" help but was given a computer massage stating that the address was not valid, I made two phone calls but gave up trying to get through to someone to speak to and I also sent two e-mails. At just before 10-00 pm on Wednesday 25/11/15 I received a message from Argos telling me that the problem had been resolved and the delivery would be made between 07-00 am & 10-00 pm Thursday 26/11/15 ( a 15 hr delivery window). Once again I stayed at home to receive the delivery, but guess what, it never arrived ! For three days out of four this week I have been unable to leave the house due to waiting for promised deliveries that have never arrived. I cant believe a major high street company can be so unreliable. I would never recommend Argos's home delivery service and I will NEVER be shopping with Argos again.

Fast track delivery never arrived no email phone call or text !!!!! What a joke phone lines closed appalling This guide and our new Parcel Delivery Rights guide give you all the information you'll need if you encounter delivery troubles, but this can be a complex area. So at a glance, here are our top five need-to-knows on the subject: The biggest protection online is you can send it back if it's late. Unlike in stores, buy goods online and the Consumer Contracts Regulations mean you've 14 days after arrival to change your mind and send them back (though you'll pay postage unless something is faulty). So if your parcel doesn't arrive in time, you've the comfort of knowing you can return it. Give delivery instructions when ordering. Shockingly, we often hear horror stories of firms leaving parcels in wheelie bins, under bushes, in BBQs or behind rear car wheels to be reversed over. So if you may be out, tell the delivery company where to leave it, or ask a neighbour to receive it. Your contract is with the store, not the delivery firm. Unless you paid directly for the delivery, then it's the store that owes you a duty of care. Don't let it fob you off, it's the one you paid - and it chose to sub-contract out delivery. So contact it, be firm, be polite, and ask for a refund (and maybe compensation). More help below. If you take time off work and they don't show, claim compensation. For larger deliveries, if you stay in, taking time off work, then you may be entitled to compensation for your time. This is under the rules of 'consequential loss', but you need to legitimately take extra time off to wait in for the delivery for it to work. We've drafted a template letter to help with any claims... Unless it specifically states a delivery date rights are difficult. By law, delivery only needs to be "within a reasonable time", which is normally up to 30 days. For goods ordered in stores for delivery, unless a store has said it will arrive by a set date, it's tricky. So if you are ordering in a store where possible ensure it states this and make it agree 'time is of the essence'.

Placed an online order with Argos three weeks ago for a divan bed, arranged delivery in a particular time slot, was then booked in for a different time slot when we weren’t available. We had to wait 24 hours before we could rearrange the delivery. We were allocated another suitable time slot and waited home for it. It did not show up in the allocated time slot, and no attempts were made to deliver the item for the full day and we had no communication from Argos as to what was going on. Despite assuring us we would receive the item by the date we told them we needed it, we haven’t and have had to cancel the order and do without. Completely disorganised delivery service. Will never order anything from Argos again.
