I have contacted Argos customer services on 2 occasions this week and spoken to a gentleman called Gary and a lady called Chris. Both members of staff have been outstanding in their approach and I cannot thank them enough for their excellent customer service skills. Gary was particularly amazing, going way above the call of duty to really impress me as a loyal and long standing Argos customer. A truly Wow moment for me in handling my query efficiently and professionally. This is why I shop at Argos ????

Bought a sofa and a couple of chairs from Argos online. They emailed me a receipt and delivered my stuff. 3 months later I get a brief email, no specific details at all, telling me they only took part of the payment and helped themselves to another £420! I went overdrawn because of it. I advised them that I had their receipts but no, they were keeping the money thàt they took. Try phoning and you get bored and disinterested people, email and you eventually get a brief fact-free reply with no substance and no explanation. Never again!

I am now left with NO goods and NO money! The customer service team has been very unhelpful so far, making promises they have not fulfilled. The driver delivered my order to a neighbor very far down my street and the neighbors denied receiving any delivery. It is your responsibility to fix this! Why do I have to keep chasing 24/7 , NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME til this day ! I will wait until this evening for a replacement delivery or my original order!!! after that I will take the actions necessary to report Argos.

I wish I can give 0 star I am very disappointed in Agros I orderd a computer desk a couple of days ago and everything went through picked the delivery date and stuff got an email saying order is all set and they have dispatched and it will come between 7-10 pm waited and waited no sigh of delivery then out of no where I get a text messaging saying that they couldn't deliver the order no reason given . After talking to about 4 customer service people they gave me another deliver day and same thing happen got a text saying it dispatched and finally a text messaging saying that they can't deliver it ! What a Tottal joke I honestly wished I didn't even bother ordering in the first place to make things more frustrating customer service advisor seems to give a 0 hell about where my product is and there was no reason to why they couldn't deliver it everything given was right from the postcode to the address . I have learned from my mistake and I wish this customer service did give a fly about their customer because I'm no ordering their things again online . Not only have this company wasted my time but Energy and i have cancelled my order and waiting for a cheque through the post !!!. Agros is a disgrace 1000%%

Order something online using Fast Track. Only confirmation I had was a text. No email and it didn't show up in my Argos account. When I picked it up I asked if I would get a receipt and was told no since I bought it online. An item in the order needed to be returned and it took me almost an hour on Argos site (chat) to arrange for a receipt to be sent to me (only a VAT one could be sent). Was told my text was a proof of purchase. What am I supposed to do - keep such texts forever. Before I threw out the box my order came in I noticed a stick on label on one of the box flaps. It said I should keep this as a proof of purchase! How ridiculous. I only chanced to notice it and the only way to keep it is to cut it off the box. This absence of a proper receipt is really dumb. How difficult would it be to have a printed receipt inside the box?

Ordered a fast track item which was supposed to be delivered the next day, a Wednesday. It arrived but with accessories missing so arranged for collection and replacement to take place on Thursday. I was reassured by 4 different Argos staff members that I would definitely receive the replacement on Thursday and received a text confirming the same. Argos was quick to collect their item but the driver who was supposed to deliver the replacement never showed up. By 8 PM I called Argos only to be told " obviously it could be because of traffic". It's a shame the driver collecting the product did not face traffic!!! At this point Argos have my money and I have nothing. I was assured they would deliver on Friday morning. On Friday morning I checked the order status online only for it to say Argos have been trying to contact me because of a problem with delivery. I clearly got through to someone who was out of their depth and decided to be aggressive with me instead of apologetic. She conveniently disconnected me before confirming when I would get my delivery. I phoned right back and this time got through to someone who told me there was a glitch in the system and I was never going to get a delivery. She rearranged for Saturday and surprise surprise when at 8.30 AM I got a call stating the item was not loaded onto the delivery truck again. I am so shocked by their incompetence and have no idea how they are still existing as a business when there are so many other companies matching them on competitive prices and with much better customer service. I didn't waste my energy or time getting angry but just requested a refund be issued straight away. Let's hope that comes through without further hassle. I immediately ordered the same item for the same price on Amazon, who for all their faults have never stressed me out with quality and delivery. Lesson learned, stay away from Argos. No one there has any idea what is going on and depending on who you speak to you get a different answer. Never again!!!

I tried to purchase a Lego set reduced from £79.99 to £54.99. However, the nearest branch to me with stock was over 100 miles away and the terrible Argos online/ home delivery conundrum was in force again as I couldn't actually order the item for home delivery. I checked UK branches showing stock daily for a week with no success. On Saturday a branch local to me suddenly showed the item in stock but also on the Saturday Argos increased the price back to £79.99 despite the fact that the item is now discontinued meaning Argos cannot replenish their stock and with only 14-17 branches in the UK showing stock, they have put the price back to full price for just a handful of sets. I emailed Argos customer services three times without any acknowledgment at all. I then phoned them to see if they would honour the price that was available less than 12 hours earlier on the basis that I couldn't order or reserve the item as it wasn't in stock and I couldn't order home delivery because the online system didn't offer it as an option. Explaining the situation to the customer services representative merely resulted in a "computer says no" reply. Given the level of customer service offered by Argos major retail competitors I was hoping that they would be able to show some level of discretion with matters this. Alas no. Oh well it'll be John Lewis every time from now on.

Regularly use the Newton Abbott store - it consistently a first class experience. Honestly a combination of the product cover, the location and the staff in the store - Karen, Corin and the store manager are good examples - ensures I always use this store over and above other competitors. I trust the service and the products from Argos - and the best bit - the no nonsense exchanges. First class - keep it up!

I went into Argos in Fakenham Norfolk on Tuesday to buy two 22" tv's for the spare bedrooms. They were out of stock so I bought 1 x 22 inch with a dvd player in it and ordered another without. They only had stock of one with a dvd player so I couldn't take 2. The lady told me that they were out of stock at their Cromer branch as well and that it would have to come from the warehouse. No problem from my point of view, It will be here on Sunday she told me . No problem from my point of view. She wouldn't let me pay for both so I paid for the one I took away and was given a £10 voucher as it was over £100. I joked with here about receiving another £10 voucher on Sunday and that i'd have to think of something to buy to use it up. The TV actually arrived in the store early but I couldn't get there until Sunday as promised and the TV was waiting for me. I paid the bill using the £10 voucher and asked for my new voucher . Oh said the girl we've stopped doing them and we only give the voucher if you pay before the offer expires. No it doesn't matter that you ordered before the expiry date. I asked for the manager who explained again that the rules are that I didn't get the voucher as I didn't pay in time. I explained that I offered to pay . "Ah no" she told me "we won't take payment until the goods are received in store that's our system". " That doesn't seem fair to me" was my comment "That's our system. Sorry". She didn't look heart broken. I returned the t.v..and thanked her. Then withdrew the thanks as well . Is that customer service? I don't think so.

Really annoyed that they still haven't helped me out in searching my item worth over £100, just pissed off that they told me "oh ill call you back tomorrow to see what happens", bla bla bla, they haven't called back, stupid customer service, really hate it, and those customer service people doesn't seem to care, it's like they're just reading off the script and enjoying them selves

The most awful customer service I have ever come across. It took three phone calls (both from myself), half an hour on hold, 11 emails (of which 2 were answered) -not to mention being provided with the wrong email address by the telephone operator, and over a month since my first enquirer for Argos to replace the wrong product they had sent me. Even when they did replace it, they noted the wrong street down and I had to change that for them. AND, the replacement product STILL wasn't the one I ordered. I hope Argos sort themselves out, not what you would expect from such a large company.

Bought a steam cleaner, got home opened it to see water inside the tank and other signs it had been used. I returned it to the store wanting a new one. I asked if they could open the box and yet again the item had water in the tank again a 2nd hand item. I asked for amother to be opened and at last no water. Argos SHOULD NOT sell returned items as new. I am very disappointed with this particular store and will not use it again.

We ordered a new fridge freezer and arranged delivery for the 21st of Jan. I took the day off and at 8am I received a txt from argos saying that the item was on its way and would be delivered before 9am. I was impressed. By 12 there was still no sign so I called argos and they said that the delivery had been cancelled because it was a large item and needed a special delivery. This had never been told to us. We were told that they had tried ringing us but no messages were left and no calls received on my call monitor. Delivery was rearranged for the 29th leaving us with no fridge for 8 days. Nice. Again today I called and was told that the item would be here between 7 and 9am but they were a little behind due to the high winds. 11am I called argos again to be told that this was an all day slot and they couldn't give me a time. Completely conflicting information again. This was completely unacceptable due to school and college runs. I have never had such poor service and I have now cancelled the order and will go somewhere else. Having read other peoples feedback it appears that this is a common fault with argos.

I used to work for Argos and the way the run things are very unprofessional behind closed doors, like if customers reserve items and there have no stock they will sell your reserved item for a paying customer. I am very unhappy because they didn't pay me correctly you think because they are a big organisation they would look after there staff unfortunately not.

Placed an order for a couple of shelves and an ottoman, paymet was taken from my account but no products were received. To cut a long story short, after 2 weeks of phoning around Argos customer service and Yodel I finally received my order only to find it was short. On speaking to Argos customer service I was told the ottoman was out of stock and I would receive it when it was back in the advisor said she had no idea when that would be!!! So I asked for a refund, only to check my account later to find I was refunded £4 less than what I had paid!!!! Furious with the service received, I will never be ordering from Argos again!!!
