“always subs, near out of date food, god forbid you need a refund it takes 5 days although they have already taken the money and their customer services abroad just give up, i will never shop here again avoid asda at all costs”
“Young man at the self service in asda enniskillen store ( at 6:15pm wed 17th july) restored my faith in customer service. I droped an item and he went out of his way to help me. He delivered impeccable service with a friendly, happy , major. Thank u sir.”
“Disgusted to find out ASDA is no longer delivering groceries in carrier bags. So what do we do, take each item out of the drivers boxes! would take ages!
If they don't want to use carrier bags then use paper bags.
Will no longer be using ASDA for this reason.”
“I would like to say how lovely Jean at the Crewe store is! She brighten my day today albeit only for 10mins while at the check out but what great customer service and just a genuinely lovely lady who deserves a shout out! X”
“A terrible company that sacked one of it's workers for breach of IT policy after posting a Billy Connoly comedy skit on his personal facebook page !! Don't support this evil giant.”
“I am part of ASDA Contact Center and even myself got disappointed about the changes to the minimum basket spent. I haven't tried to order here as i know to myself that someday, I will regret this. I hope you do not blame customer service regarding this updates. Thank you customers.”
“Never be surprised what this dreadful company get up to. Delivery surcharge? What about all their self service checkouts!! A complete and utter disgrace. Go elsewhere.”
“A surcharge of £3 unless we spend £40 when ordering online why? outside of making people spend more - when they can little afford it.
I use online as I live rurally and my nearest ASDA would mean a round trip of 40 miles, so trying to be environmentally friendly by not driving into town..it seems I am now being charged for this. Also, many items not in stock subs often sent nothing like the ordered item come on ASDA what the heck are you playing it. Disgusting all in all,”
“I went on to Asia online which I always order from as it was cheaper and more conventional to do as I am slightly disabled, they have now put a minimum £3 basket charge on as well as delivery charge so basically added £5.50on to my bill which is terrible as I used to do a £25 shop at least once a week oh well suppose I will go to Iceland, it's a pain but I am very disappointed, I understand u have cost but maybe it should be a minimum amount £1, rip off to very gd Asda shoppers and I am sure u will find a lot shopper's like me,”
“Click and Collect Asda Gosforth. They’ve installed lockers. Couldn’t get mine to open so what should take a minute or two took nearly 30 minutes. Had to wait for a shop assistant to stroll over. He then told me “some are stiff” 😳. If myself and another couldn’t open the locker it’s more than just “stiff”. Would have been easier picking up my 4 items in store. NEVER AGAIN!”
“Bought a pizza from the make your own counter, I have never tasted such a bland, untastful pizza, processed ham, tasteless pineapple and cheese all slopped in the middle of a pizza tastless base, I think its time asda started putting the costomers input first and use fresh sliced ham, tasty real pineapple, and all fresh toppings, and not use an ice cream scoop for portion control, the staff on this counter at Scunthorpe Burrigham Road, are like robots, they ask what toppings you want and then it's a pre set routine from then on, I will never ever buy that rubbish again, old pizza out the garbage tastes better, disgusted, sort yourself out Asda 0 is what score I would give and thats too much.and Im not after a refund or gift voucher just to change my mind, just change pizza's please, I shop at Morrisons now much better.”
“Great! About time!! Good for Morrisons. Don't hold your breath for Asda to follow suit though. Read below from Daily Mail. Just a tiny bit of a big article...........Now, one of the big four supermarkets is bringing back staff at 1,000 ‘express’ checkouts in response to shopper anxiety about using the self-scan tills.
The move is part of a drive by Morrisons to improve personal service and win back shoppers who have deserted to no-frills budget stores like Aldi and Lidl. END. Shoppers at this very expensive chain (asda) can easily force the hand of this company by refusing to use self service.”
“Was not allowed to use toilets nower else in the vicinity and was shopping in asda at the time was told toilets shut at 6 but store open til 10 or 11 at nite. Ridiculous! I am a disabled pensioner n am disgusted with asda staff.will never go ther again”
“What a waste of time, waiting in a queuing up to pay for goods. The ratio of tills opened to customers waiting was a disgrace. What is the end game here, close the tills and force customers to use self service, this avoid paying till staff, who have already been stopped helping elderly customers from packing bags, which would help to move the queer along. No wonder the likes of Aldi and Lidl are doing so well, at least there, you know how the system works and tills are opened when queer build up. Wake up Asda, our once favourite shop, is fast losing ground and customers.”
“I went into Asda in Folkestone today and was totally shocked at their prices for everything. Morrisons is bad enough but this really is way over the top. Not just their food prices either but electricals etc also. For instance...a Morphy Richards soup maker was seling for £65!! yep, that's what I said, £65. I paid £40 for mine elsewhere. I would say where but cannot remember. It was not long ago. To add insult to injury nearly all the checkouts were self service. I have never ever seen so many in any other supermarket. If they want to do that they should offer discounts for using them. After all, the are saving a mass of money aren't they. How? Because for every self service checkout they are saving one employees wages. Go figure. What has happened is that their prices continue to rocket. Thank goodness they were not allowed to merge with Sainsburys!! Needless to say I did not buy anything.”
“Well Well Well ! :(
Well Well Well ! What a total disaster Asda online are eh ! Yep you guessed it ! My order was cancelled as they were "out of stock "and after talking with some very poorly trained and unconcerened "Customer service person" ! who insisted on talking over me ! I was told
1. They were out of stock
2. They are not a wholesaler ! Seriously that is what I was told !
I ordered £60 worth of coffee .. the only brand I drink..... and it was on offer and it was in stock when I ordered it 3 days ago and this morning on the day of delivery they charged my card... It was extremely inconvenient for me to arrange to be home at delivery time as I could have spent the whole day in Brighton.. so it was total waste of my time !
And then they had the audacity to offer me 4 free deliveries over the next 4 weeks ! Ha Ha and trust them again ?
Judging by ALL the very similar reviews ... I am not alone .... and that is just the folk who bothered to leave one ! The rest of disappointed and let down customers dIdn't even bother... they just won't use Adsa ever again ! I can tell you this Asda , that the most imortant people who walk through your doors and shop online are us ! your most important assets and without us you are nothing ! Sadly this is the way you appear to be going ! Will I get answered,Will I get a satisfactory conclusion ? will it even be escalated ? I won't hold my breath....
P.S ! They just sent me a customer service questionaire ... Why ? Will they follow it up ?”
“After a long trip on the motorway we called in to Asda at Wakefield and decided to have a much needed coffee. We paid £4.80 for two lattes and it was revolting, and not very hot. We had a few mouthfuls and couldn’t drink anymore 🥴 . What a waste of money. We didn’t go back to the young girl that was serving because she was making drinks, taking orders, taking the money and quite frankly we didn’t want to put anymore pressure on her. We use your Barnsley branch as well and the staff are lovely there but they can’t get coffee right either. Is it the machines, the coffee you use or lack of staff training ?. When I pay good money I expect something decent for it.”
“Don’t expect people to pay full price for products if you can’t afford a single cashier, taking 20+ items to self checkout is ridiculous, every other item needs to be approved by staff ( oreos, raspberries...) 5th time staff had to assist i left, not shopping at Mandeville Road Asda store ever again”
