“What a shambollick delivery service Asda offer! First thing in the morning (my delivery was booked for 1pm -3pm) i am informed by txt that the delivery would be two hours late. half an hour later i am informed by txt that my delivery would be three hours late. One hour after my delivery is due, i check on the status via the web site, only to find the order has been cancelled without my knowledge. When i call the customer service department, i am told that due to a technical issue they have cancelled my order. I am offered a free delivery for the next day, but some of the offers had expired and i had only paid £3.50 for the delivery so i would have to pay the extra as the following day was more expensive. How are you still in business???? Why s it ok to treat customers in this shocking manner. Oh and if you email a complaint they have 28 days to respond, REALLY?!!!!!”
“Booked online delivery, okay-ed it with my bank 25 mins later they cancelled it, iv'e been on the phone for nearly 2 hours, they are reluctant to do anything, they offered me 15 pounds to get some takeaway today while i wait, and now that they took soo long there are no delivery slots for 2 days, i have proof its asda at fault and they cant do anything. they are too incompetent to do anything then look at a screen and read out what it tells them, how hard is it to deliver some food, and how hard is it to fix their own problem. DELETED MY ACCOUNT, FUDGE THIS COMPANY.”
“Very bad delivery service. Half of my order was substituted. Delivery need to be 6-7 pm,Was 8 pm and still no one came. Was cancelled without explanation. Never do delivery from Asda again!”
“Asda 10/10 for wonderful service NOT!!!!
Neighbor had delivery for 22 Dec but had cancelled it before hand. Low and behold she got a text message on 22 Dec to say Asda delivery was on its way, she rang and said she cancelled it, idiot on phone said they would advise driver. About 30 minutes later guess what, Asda driver arrives with delivery, she tells them she cancelled it and they leave, You think that would be the end of it...Ohh no, she inquired about the money they had taken from her acct and was told it wasn't taken out and returned to bank. She phoned bank asking about when the funds would be released from pending, bank informed her could take 3-5 working days. Only other option was if Asda could send a Fax to Bank saying that the order was cancelled.. 3 days of asking Asda a simple question of faxing to a bank the required info was a joke, rude woman on phone told her its 2017 no one uses fax machines, um hello my job does, idiot woman also said this is the last time you can call about this um no, you don't have the right to tell a customer how many times they can call the store... any way what has happened is..from a cancelled order my neighbor and her kids didn't have a Christmas as that money that Asda took out was for Presents and food and electric.
I only just found out all this as I saw the children outside and asked the usual "what did Santa bring you" only to be told he didnt come to our house this year, we think we were too naughty.
Asda you totally suck... you have left a family without Christmas, Food, and Electric, All because you are too damn lazy to get off your bum and do something that could take 2 mins, even if you cant send a fax you could of done something...
Ohh and by the way... my neighbor attempted suicide because she feels like she failed as a mum for not providing Christmas for her kids, for not providing food, and for no way of heating their home...
ASDA you yet again continue to disappoint, no wonder I dont shop there,”
“Poor xmas offers really and not much competition between them and other chains. It's the self service checkouts I dislike the most. Staff not too bad really.”
“Customer service person was so ignorant and rude if she did not want to be there dont take it out on the customer!
Will so not return to dowlais top merthyr or any other store to be honest”
“Rotten, stinking 'premium' (Asda? Premium?) Turkey on Christmas morning. Ruined Xmas day. You parasitic, entry level Super(?)market. I warned my Wife. Now she understands why. Should've stuck with Sainsbury and M&S for quality. Even Aldi and Lidl are better. ”
“Two weeks in a row my online delivery items missing, one or two items you ask?? I think not! Two weeks in a row my chilled items are not there! Really annoying, offering a refund... just want my items! Couldn't say anything not good enough, two weeks in a row!! Now pregnant women has to go out when meant to be resting to get items! Fuming!”
“Ive had more than one bad experience with asda at the main store in kingsthorpe northampton. If you take anything back the senior staff act as though its a personal affront to them and its coming out of their pockets. EXAMPLE. Bought two pillows. buy one get one free, or two for the price of one, something on those lines. Says machine washable at 40degrees, I washed them on hand wash at 30, came out all out of shape and lumpy. ok, hopefully will restore in dryer. Nope, worse. So back to asda, stand around about 15 mins while staff member goes through the till trying to find them, in the end gets manager, explain to him, he has a look, cant find anything, So he turns to the staff member and says give the lady a voucher for £10, im fine with that. Anyway the staff member goes back to the till, im thinking shes sorting the voucher, stand there a bit more, in the end said," excuse me, what are you doing" "Looking for the price "' When i said, "hang on, your boss "and i emphasised the word boss "has just told you to give me a £10 voucher." Her response was on the lines of think yourself lucky youre getting it. Another one, someone did a bit of shopping for me, Smart price ham .Didnt look at lable just opened the pack it looks like luncheon meat, tastes like lucheon meat, smells like lucheon meat, but according to the pack its ham. didnt realise until i said something about the meat in the fridge. Its ham, he says. Sure enough thats what it says on the pack. Hate shopping there asda products are gross, only buy branded products if i have to shop there, forgot to tell the person shopping for me. oh and they arent the cheapest, do a virtual shop, with branded products and see who comes out tops.”
“They did not make me happy. They never arrived at the store. The store staff on customer help desk were abrupt most unhelpful referred me to phone .com line.
Person with foreign accent very difficult to understand was to ring me back and leave message all I could get was half a telephone message. I phoned store they tried to put me through to a guy the message came back he was to busy to speak to me had to go to a meeting. Phone .com again a woman told me to accept a refund as there were still the items I wanted. Needless to say there were not. Needless to say I will not shop with them again.”
“They don't even deserve the one star. Truly appalling service. Shopping was to be delivered last Friday 6-8pm. Come 8.30pm no sign of a driver or a phone call that something's wrong. I ring their customer service. They tell me driver couldn't find me so my shopping will not be delivered. Why didn't he ring? We are not sure why. Will I be charged for my shopping? Absolutely not. 3 days later I check my bank account and - wait for it - the whole sum for the undelivered shop is taken out of my account. Rang them again to ask for reimbursement - will take at least 48h but somehow I am skeptical this was my last call to them to rectify. Avoid if you can.”
“The click and collect service at Asda is not a service it is a disgrace, I had to wait over 15 minutes just to get anybody to START to get my parcel, luckily I asked a member of staff passing to find out what was going on.
The click and collect point is the other end of the store to customer service desk, that shows how interested Asda is in customer service.
I will never use click and collect at Asda again.”
“OADBY LEICESTER ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I DO NOT THINK I HAVE EVER WRITTEN A BAD REVIEW ABOUT A COMPANY BUT I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO FRUSTRATED WITH DISGUSTED SERVICE AS I RECEIVED FROM ASDA! I BROUGHT A CHARGER FOR £16 FROM ASDA UNFORTUNATELY I DIDNT THINK TO TAKE THE THE RECEIPT AS YOU WOULDN’T EXPECT TO BUY SOMETHING AND THEN IT DON’T WORK. I WENT BACK TO ASDA TO EXCHANGE THE CHARGER WHICH I ALREADY PAID EXTORTION FOR AND A LADY CALLED CHRIS AT CUSTOMER SERVICE SAID SHE WON’T DO NOTHING AS I DON’T HAVE THE RECEIPT. I TOLD HER TO CHECK CCTV CAMERA AND SHE TOLD ME TO GO TO THE SECURITY GUARD AND TELL HIM. WELL HELLO? YOU WANT THE PROOF BUT YOUR TELLING ME TO GO AND THEN SHE RANG THE SECURITY GUARD WHO TOLD HER TO TELL ME TO COME BACK ANOTHER DAY. ANOTHER DAY???? AS IF I HAVE BROUGHT A CHARGER TO KEEP GOING BACK AND FORTH TO GET IT EXCHANGED AS IT DON’T WORK!!!!! CHRIS KEPT ARGUING WITH ME AND WOULDN’T DO NOTHING, I THEN ASKED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER. SUKI THE MANAGER CAME DOWN AND TRIED CHECKING ON THE SYSTEM BUT DIDN’T FIND MY TRANSACTION, I ASKED THEM TO CHECK THE CCTV WHICH THEY CLEALY COULD NOT BE BOTHERED TO DO & HARVEY WHO COULD HAVE CHECKED THE CAMERAS REFUSED TO DO THIS. I RANG CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY TOLD ME IF I COULD REMEMBER THE DAY I BROUGHT THE ITEM THE STORE COULD CHECK AS PROOF OF PURCHASE, I TOLD HER THAT THEY ARE NOT CHECKING AND GAVE HER THE EXACT DATE WHEN I VISITED THE STORE AS I HAD TO GO THROUGH 100’s OFF MESSAGES JUST TO CHECK WHAT DAY I ACTUALLY MADE THE PURCHASE HOWEVER WHEN I TOLD HER THE STORE WONT CHECK CCTV WHICH SHOWS THAT THEY CANT BE BOTHERED TO CHECK THE CCTV AND DO THERE JOB PROPERLY WHICH RESULTS IN ME WASTING MY MONEY SHE THEN TRIED CHANGING HER WORDS AND SAYING YOU CANT ONLY CHANGE IF YOU HAVE A RECEIPT. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER BUYING A CHARGER FROM ASDA THEY CHARGE YOU £16 FOR A CHARGER THAT DON’T EVEN WORK!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THEN TRY SAYING THEY WON’T EVEN REFUND OR EXCHANGE AS I DON’T HAVE THE REICEPT WELL MAYBE IF THEY CHECKED THE CAMERAS THEY WOULD SEE THAT I BROUGHT IT. A BLOODY RIP OF, DISGUSTING SERVICE AND RUBBISH QUALITY ITEMS!!!!”
“Well for a start waited 15 mins for someone to bring my click and collect to me , and feel would of been longer if hadn't reported it !
Then found the right item I ordered in store so ask to swop one of the items I ordered for the correct item and was told no , I needed to buy the item and then go through the process of sending the other back and get a refund when they receive it , never have I heard of this before if it's a Asda product and swooping for a adsa product what the big deal ?
I will not be using this service again !!”
“UNDELIVERED ORDER | REFUSE TO REFUND
After waiting hours and talking to customer support multiple times! They weren't able to inform me of the status of the delivery scheduled for 3pm, after 5 hours later, I was told the delivery didn't leave the wharehouse because of van breakdown.
Demanded Full Refund and they insist on re-delivery after two days.
Ridiculous service, hopeless customer support and terrible management.”
“Left work early for our grocery delivery, sat in for almost three hours. When our delivery was almost 40 minutes late WE contacted Asda customer services (despite their website saying that if there's a problem they will contact the customer!) Turns out that the delivery driver couldn't find our house (despite it being on a main road and signposted as it's on a farm of the same name and next to a cafe!!!!!), didn't bother ringing us for directions and just missed us out. Order cancelled!!!!!!!
To say we are furious is an understatement. We pay for an annual delivery pass but we will never order from them again.
The woman on customer services, who could hardly speak English, could not have cared less when we explained that we left work early (missing out on pay), have sat in for hours, wouldn't have been know about the cancelled order had we not rang them, the fact that we have NO meals to cook for our young family or myself who is 6 months pregnant. She offered a £5 voucher and absolutely no apology at all!!!!!!
We have had problems with George orders before too. Should have learnt our lesson.
Asda could not care one little bit about their customers.
I will have to drag my young children round the shops tomorrow now (not Asda!), carry the food to my house through the foot of snow we have, whilst pregnant (our garages and driveways are set apart from the house by quite a way) - after I've been to work all day and made up the hours I've missed tonight!!!!!!”
“Slow service at checkout in Leamington Spa store waited 20 minutes to be served. Staff calling for assistance very slow response from runners. Haven't been for a while won't be going again.”
